You are a saint! I have been wanting to learn how to make a sweater without having to really knit. Thank you so much for the tutorials, I cant wait to begin!
Learning how to make a sweater on a loom has been one of my most wanted items to make since I learned how to loom knit, so I am super excited 😊 Thank you so very, very much Kristen😘
This is very in-depth and very informative. I apologize for previously comparing you to Tuteate and stating your videos needed to be simpler. Honestly I am jealous.
Hello Julieta! Thanks for joining as a member of GKK! 😁 The link for the sweater pattern is in the video description above. You can see the pattern on the blog. For PDFs patterns as a member: We have lots of tutorials coming up with patterns. For current level 2 members they get the pattern emailed when the pattern releases. Usually it’s the day before or same day the video launches. We check the current list of Level 2+ members with our Google email list (be sure you fill out that form) each time before sending patterns. So patterns that members get start when memberships start. For older patterns they are available on sale individually. However, we are working on a pattern bundle right now with ALL loom knitting patterns from 2020. That will launch soon. We are finalizing details and will let everyone know if that’s something that you are interested in. Thank you again! Oh! Be sure to join us for weekly Zooms if you like on Fridays 11a-12:30p CST. Our community tab on RUclips has the link for that and it doesn’t change. 🤗❤️ I hope that helps! -Kristen

You could use the X loom as well but it will still be tight like a long loom.
Can you make a video on how to loom knit a basic sweater a man could wear? Most videos knit, crochet or loom are made for women. My husband and sons want a home made sweater.
I got stalled because I have the kb aio and 28" loom and purchased LB Wool Ease thick & quick, thinking it was a 5 yarn. I'm overwhelmed trying to sort out how to make it work. Is there a way to use what I have or figure out if it will work? If you have advice, I sure woukd appreciate it.
Thank you for providing these videos to go along with the sweater pattern! As a visual learner, this puts the whole picture together for me! I just finished my swatch and am excited to move onto the next video! Question - what do I do with the swatch sample? Should I pull it apart to use that yarn during the project or will I have to go back to this swatch piece?
Hold onto it. You may want to use it as a reference. In general it’s best to keep for reference and not reuse the yarn unless you find you are short on yarn for a project.
You’re welcome. I just happen to be up late and looked at my phone notifications at the right moment tonight. Lol it can be hit or miss but tonight’s your night! Heehee
Just a quick question could I use a another stitch for a mens sweater. I am a beginner but like the look of 3 ukit 1Purl stitch design. Any suggestions? Does it change to sizing too much?
Do you HAVE to use the flexee loom? I have already made a simple baby sweater on my long loom, but this looks like a much bigger challenge. I don't want to buy yet another loom. I have a LOT of them already. :)
Todd Carnes if you can get gauge on another loom with enough pegs then use that. However during part 5 you will be pulling stitches back up on the loom and may not like pulling it up through that small tight space of a long loom. It’s totally up to you.
It is recommended for the sweater as it makes it easier on shaping but you can use other looms. I don't recommend a long loom. But you need this gauge for this sweater or you will need to convert it. the Flexee loom really is ideal for making garments that have lots of shaping.
I found it easier to add stitches and decrease as needed without stretching the yarn as much this way; especially when it came to picking up stitches from a worked panel and then adding another in later parts and working in the round for the neck.
@@elizabethslater283 yes. It reminds me of working with circular needles for that flexibility. Please check out part 3 I believe. That should show you more what I’m talking about. You could try working it on another loom but it needles to also be able to connect in the round later and adjust in number of pegs for you. The Flexiloom just makes it simpler. It’s a product I’m so glad came out and I waited years for it.
Knit knack yes if you can get gauge on that loom that is totally fine. However on part 5 you need to be able to pull stitches back up through the middle to place on loom again as well as pick up new stitches from the side of the neck. It will be harder to do that in the tight space of an S loom or a long loom. It’s up to you. I was going to use the X loom but the Flexee loom came out and just worked better for me.

It depends on what you are making and skill level. Double knitting and drop stitch patterns are hands down faster. Stockinette is really fast as well with no purling needed for panels and all stitches are on the right side so charts don’t need to be converted for WS on flat or circular patterns. They do have some challenges of course. Cables are much easier I think on needles and intricate lace patterns but other laces work great on the loom. However for anyone with difficulty holding needles due to dexterity challenges (many reasons including even missing/not working limbs or digits, carpel tunnel, arthritis, etc) looms can be a God-send.
@@GoodKnitKisses ohhh right, when you mentioned each kind of project/stitches, it does seem to be easier on loom sometimes. And also helps knitters who can't use needles. Anyway, the first time I used looms are only for making bracelets when I was like 12 yrs old... lol 😅 and I guess I'm still finding out that looms can do more than that. Thanks for the info! 😘

How positive you are🥰 I subscribed and liked your lovely video🥰❤🤗
The cable cast on is cool. Never heard of it but will definitely try it. Seems Much easier than the crochet cast on, especially on the Zippy. 😀
I been loom knit this for years on round one a 41peg loom for back and front then I do the neck on long loom fits uk size 20
It’s stunning!! ❤️

Looks beautiful thank you so much. You are such amazing lady
Always great to see your videos. Can I use medium 4 yarn instead of bulky 5?

I’d like to know this as well, I have the exact same yarn and the KB 28” loom. Please respond goodknitkisses ❤️

Hello! I'm so excited to try this sweater! Can I use the Flexee loom for thin yarn as well?
Thanks!
Yes you can. Use the skinny version for thinner yarn on other projects.
Just a quick question could I use a another stitch for a mens sweater. I am a beginner but like the look of 3 ukit 1Purl stitch design. Any suggestions? Does it change to sizing too much?

Just in time to start doing for ugly sweater Christmas stuff :)
Can I use a all in one loom? And is this a flat panel
What if I want to make the same but for a 5 years old? I really would like to make sweaters for my children...Any help please?
Do you HAVE to use the flexee loom? I have already made a simple baby sweater on my long loom, but this looks like a much bigger challenge. I don't want to buy yet another loom. I have a LOT of them already. :)

@@GoodKnitKisses Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'll wait until I've had a chance to see the video for part 5 and make my decision then. :)
Can this be dice in a knit stitch?
would two strands of DK yarn be thick enough or would I need to use 3 strands?
You could test 2 strands and measure.
18:45. Provisional Bind Off
Can i use the flexee loom skinny links 3/8 to do the sweater?
Has anyone worked out smaller sizing for kids?
Do you have to get the that type of loom or can I use other types of Looms
It is recommended for the sweater as it makes it easier on shaping but you can use other looms. I don't recommend a long loom. But you need this gauge for this sweater or you will need to convert it. the Flexee loom really is ideal for making garments that have lots of shaping.
I presume its ok to use a straight or circular loom for this project, I don’t need to purchase the flexi loom
I found it easier to add stitches and decrease as needed without stretching the yarn as much this way; especially when it came to picking up stitches from a worked panel and then adding another in later parts and working in the round for the neck.
@@GoodKnitKisses so are you saying it's better worked on a flexible loom and it wouldn't work in a normal one
@@elizabethslater283 yes. It reminds me of working with circular needles for that flexibility. Please check out part 3 I believe. That should show you more what I’m talking about. Hello could you tell me if this is the chunky loom or skinny one? Thanks
Chunky. Also please be sure to click the pattern link in the video description. It will have all the info you will need for reference. Happy Looming!
Please how a full picture of the completed sweater. What is the length of the sweater? Is there a band at the bottom?
The information is on the website link
Que pena que no lo ponga en español aunque sea con subtítulos en castellano. Me gustaría hacerlo pero... No entiendo nada 😭😭
Can I do this on 5/8 gauge universal s loom from CinDWood? Thanks.
