- Unlike the usual on-ride videos we post (link below), this time we kept the camera level with the horizon throughout the ride for a slightly different Point Of View.
This record breaking RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) terrain coaster that is the only wooden coaster featuring a LSM launch lift hill. With top speeds up to 73 mph (117.5 km/h) over 3,800 feet (1,200m) of track, it's the world's fastest wooden coaster with forces that can reach up to 3.5 Gs.

@@JJ-rm7jw with complex banking I mean that when the coaster makes a turn, you can see that just before the turn is made, you make a very little turn to the other side. But it’s hard to explain what I mean

@@sijbrandloot2340 That's actually called heartlining, not banking. Banking is just when the track tilts to the right or left, heartlining is when the track rotates around you before you bank.
I rode this coaster and had to sit just a sec to catch my breath after being stunned by this thing! It is the fastest coaster I've ever ridden on and the 20 seconds of air time is crazy! The harness and configuration of handles is perfect for the ride.
Man this view captures the pure chaos this ride provides so much more than the POV. I was genuinely baffled once we slowed down. I grew up with Magic Mountain 45 minutes away and there were very few times I ever felt the same way after a ride as I did with Lightning Rod!

This ride gets a lot of hate for all the problems it endured and for its retracking, but from a Roller Coaster Enthusiast that never got to ride this ride before it was slowed down/retracked, this is definitely in my top 10 and will always be one of the best Roller Coasters in the world.

Besides the request per park policy, those shinguards absolutely suck during high-positive-G moments. They kinda hurt, unless you keep your weight back using the grips.

This is one of the best horizon-leveled videos out there. In many cases, leveling suffers from high roll-rates and non-vertical forces. Not here. Well done!
This pov system your using is unreal. Never go back to anything before. Never did i think watching coasters on Utube could actually feel somewhat virtual but this is crazzzy. It's only a matter of time until u wont have to drive hrs away or a passport away from riding your favorite looking coasters. I can't wait for this technology. I just hope I'm not an old lady by then but then again i suppose i could still snap on that kinda technology and not have to worry about pulling something or my arthritis kicking in. Hee 😊 hee

@@makijo1571 Wich coasters do you think are the Best? I Like Steel Vengeance - Fury 325 - Lighting Rod - SkyRush - and there is a 4D coaster that is a bit "inverted" I don't remember the name - these are probably the best coasters of all times

I went on this ride after wild eagle and Tennessee tornado and this one was the only that made me scream and the only one that hurt my head. Still fun tho

Yes, CoasterForce is a group of enthusiasts. However the people in the video are not part of CoasterForce. They are friends of East Coast(er) General, who filmed the video for Dollywood and the park wanted the riders to keep their hands down during filming.
