If you are closely watching Marek's compositional actions, then after the clinically diatonic SUSURRUS, we now have a chromatic without anesthesia "Dodecaphonic Prelude & Fugue". I will not comment emotionally, because both techniques consciously escape from such expression, so I can only say that I am full of appreciation for Marek's compositional skills and his striving for consistency in the creative process. I am amused by his juggling of the possibilities offered by so many years of experience and his invariably honest, artistically pure approach to composition.

as always... beautifully and eloquently said! Jurku, I'm probably more into diatonic and minimalistic language, but those compositional detours are always important to keep my compositional skills fresh. Big thanks for stopping by and throwing in some good words!!!!

A billiant new piece from MP. .I have listened to this several times and it tells me a different story each time. A secrete story to be unraveled with each listen . Vojins play is Top Notch all the way.

Thanks very much, John. Yes, very much hidden secret story behind the notes which I'm trying to show and reveal. Vojin's playing - so extremely detailed, so precise, so sophisticated. I appreciated it after working closely with score. He is a master.

The simplicity of the sounds challenges us to see what has not been seen revealing the deepest layers of consciousness in that sacred "segment of time of any life we call moment..." Bravo Marek!

Kasia, I can always count on you! This is not perhaps most commercial piece I've ever wrote but I'm still proud of it and so happy YOU like it! 😶‍🌫elbowcough

What a courage! To give the analysis of your own piece for people. I didn’t like such kind of music but must reconsider my fault only because of this analysis. It’s quite interesting that your own ear is looking for something tonal and my found it in the second part. That’s because the music material is more dense and somehow it tends to something and it is much easier to make atonality with one note per time. However, when you look at the structure of the first part still Marek looks for something mathematical. Division 7/5 is the closest to golden ratio you can achieve with 12. Pure. Just. And Vojin’s performance… I must go and do some infinite number of exercises to reach half of that level of control.

Tomek, what an interesting point of view! Just for the record - this is very pure, cold indescribable analysis. No emotional thought, inspirations, decisions leading from one point to another etc just pure facts in numbers.
Program notes opening that analysis - that's something very subjective. Only only that. Dodecaphony is not my favourite technique either but it's more ear friendly than you can expect. I agree with you. Vojin's performance is just superb. As always really. Absolut True!
Thank you for stopping by and listening, Tomek!
