      How long did it take him to come up with a BS title like that? Had to mention Sugar and his show to get people to recognise what this pathetic vid is about, because nobody cares or remembers who this is.
      Didn't he "walk from Lord Sugar" because he realised just how dumb he actually comes across while tanking the simplest of tasks like remembering rooms in a tiny studio?...

    The Apprentice is still my favourite show, but I preferred it when they were competing for a job with Lord Sugar. I think they have gone a bit too far with how they treat the contestants, making them get up at 3 in the morning, and making them feel like failures just because their team made £20 less than the other team. It feels a bit exhausting to watch.

    Scott - absolutely inspirational. You weren't a bad candidate at all. As a viewer, we sometimes forget the feelings of the candidates and how unfairly they are treated in the boardroom. I was sad to see the way you were spoken to, and so were many others, you were completely right to realise you aren't just a fish in Sugar's pond. You are your own person and you're no less than him, in fact there's nothing stopping you from going further. Thanks for the video and I wish you luck in your current ventures.

    As someone who has experience in TV and a network in different production pipelines. You really played your hand perfectly at that moment. You came out more memorable and better than any other candidate. It was refreshing for someone with self-respect to stand up for himself, and also be able to tell those cut-throats that you don't need them and can do better. Your insight and the comments below seem like it must've been a terrible experience...and you came out on top.
    I don't often watch reality tv shows, and I stopped watching the apprentice nearly a decade ago when I noticed they tried to make some candidates look bad or force drama into it. If anyone watched the video clip. Anybody with editing experience (or people with a good ear) can notice that in 2:07 (RussellTCS clip) that the editor put a sound clip of Lord Sugar despite it not matching the previous tone and there is a noticeable cut in that sound.
    You look like someone that I wouldn't mind working with. Your attitude, approach, and pretty much everything has pretty much made you one of the most respectable people coming out from the show. You've got a ton of support and I hope your future idea and business (despite covid19 and other complications) have turned into something great for you.

    I rewatched this season a week or so ago (for some reason it always stuck in my mind as a favourite). I have to say, Scott, you came across as the most genuine and likeable contestant from the start. I remember when the series first aired and I was sure you'd be the winner because you seemed like someone who Sugar would trust to handle the business your way without needing much input at all from him. It was a shock to see you leave but after hearing your explanation I have nothing but admiration. There have been so many suck-ups on that show that'll do anything to make Sugar happy, it's refreshing to see someone with the self-respect and confidence to walk away and continue their plans without his investment.

    @daveyjones72 5 лет назад +75

    Hey Scott - I have watched most of the Apprentice series' since it started. Other people have said and I agree that the candidates appear more genuine and serious in the earlier episodes. My impression is that you were a genuine candidate who wasn't interested in simply playing up to the camera. I have total respect with the decision you made in leaving the process when you did. To me, and others, it seems that most of the contestants on the programme in recent years have either over inflated egos or are pre-madonnas.
    I think one of my favourite apprentice candidates from series 3 or 4 was Paul Tulip. Okay, he was an average 25K salesman but he was one of the best performing candidates in Lord Sugar's tasks going across all the series'. He knew how to lead a team, communicate with them, was a very good organizer, got on well with people and got things done. What let him down were the interviews where I think he just became over-confident and appeared cocky to the likes of Claude and Gordon although I don't think he was to be fair. I feel that he should have got through to the final and taken on Ruth Badger. Michelle Dewberry, the eventual winner, parted ways with Viglen (one of Sugar's companies) after only a few months anyway. Although she performed reasonably well in some tasks she was not right for the job i.m.o.
    Well good luck in your future endevours - the Apprentice should have more candidates like yourself.

Genuinely I have the upmost respect for you in the way you handled exiting the boardroom and all the shit that was thrown at you, you gained a massive admirer (in me) that day and I’m so pleased to see that you’re flourishing in your career. When you stand back and look at it, "Lord" Sugar's Amstrad business was riding high in the 80s but he presided over its demise. Most, if not all, of his ventures in the late 90s and 00s were failures until all that was left was set top boxes for Sky. In the end, Sky bought the company for a laughably low amount when you consider how big the company used to be. He is not the big cheese that The Apprentice makes him out to be.
