- Amazing concert with bassist David Hungate back after more than 30 years. He played on the first 4 Toto's albums until Toto IV in 1982. Glad he is back!.
The original lineup of TOTO: David Paich (Piano/Synth), Steve Lukather (Guitar), David Hungate (Bass), Steve Porcaro (Synths).

David Hungate!!!...OMG, only 8 years old when I was watching the amazing Toto music videos on TV in 1978-1980 in black and white TV. Then came 1982 and TOTO completed cemented their sound for the whole world to hear and never forget.

I get the feeling David Hungate never really enjoyed the rock and roll lifestyle, the session work was more his personality, but damn, that guy's a beast on the bass. I wish he'd join "Luke: in any incarnation of Toto he can come up with. I'm also glad he left that band on good terms, right at the height of their popularity. When he rejoined Toto he made it clear he was doing it "For mikey", which shows tremendous respect for the Porcaro brothers and his replacement in the band. I suspect he left Toto knowing Mike Porcaro could step in right away with no bad blood among band members. You've gotta respect Hungate for that.
Attended this concert with the love of me life . . What a night .
