GTA San Andreas - How to drive a train thru a bridge barrier - NO CHEATS, NO MODS, NO GLITCHES

- I first heard about this technique by a person called Nukey Shay on GTAForums.
This technique fully works at the train bridge at the Flint Intersection and at the Kincaid Bridge in Easter Bay. It does not work at the Frederick Bridge near Las Venturas. At the Frederick Bridge the will always come to a stop, but it can still be used to cross over from Las Venturas to Los Santos.
In order for the technique to work the train needs to be driven extremely fast. As the train approaches the barrier it will begin to slow down, but it will still proceed thru the barrier.

I remember discovering this right when the game came out. I had not unlocked the other regions yet and I was trying to derail the train, but ended up going through the barrier. This glitch was how I seen the areas outside Los Santos for the first time.
I remember crossing the bridge barrier by accident when I was a kid and I couldn't believe I'd done it and I tried to show my brother and was never able to do it again.
vinz haha same, one time I also got into Las Venturas without a wanted level and I accidentally punched s cop only to me getting shot to death. And I couldn't do it again.
Managed to go to las Ventura’s and back 29 times until a police helicopter crashed into the train and fell into the ocean and got caught by a police boat

I discovered it about 10 years ago when I played it on my PS2, I wanted to see if we could get past the barrier when going super fast and it worked !

I remember doing this when San Andreas first came out. I was crossing the bridge from Los Santos to Las Venturas. I have no idea how I did it and I’ve tried so many times to do it again, haven’t done it since.

You have better chances if the train is longer. For example if you wait for Freight with 4 cars you can go through every barrier in the game.

If you wait until the frieght engine has 4 flatbeds behind it and use the same trick...it can even cross the fredrick bridge's barrier

I used to do this all the time when I was like 5 years old to get into Las Venturas and San Fiero
From there, after that i'd just gas it until I derailed.
Conveniently i'd usually land beside a hotdog stand van or something ridiculous, and there was something so funny to me about being chased by cops in a hotdog stand van.
I did this maybe like 8 times as a kid, but I never knew exactly how to replicate it.

I don't know how to do it because everytime I try to drive the train extremely fast, when it becomes shakey, it will crash when pass through curves.

I remember going over to Bone County and the bridge that leads to San Fierro, the NPCs would just casually drive through the road blockade.
you went through the 6 main areas. los santos, red county, flint county, san fierro, bone county, and las venturas.i only was interested in bone county and las venturas cuz i never made it up that far in the game.
I once did this on pc the first time I played it. Same as many guys, was never able to replicate it lol
I did this one time but at the bridge you said you cant do it. Never was able to do it again tho, but I know it was the one to las venturas.
I know this vid is a little old but if you drive that same exact rain you had backwards into the barriers you'll find out a little more easier with a past I've done this wipes six seven times

Actually because im such a big brain i know that actually you CAN use a train to cross the frederock bridge to las venturas. You just have to reverse the train in high speed. Feel free to correct me if im wrong but i have a memory of me doing that

I always used the flatbed train with the most cars. It went over all the barriers

My pc got an error every time i launched the mission "Drive Thru"

In ps2 i just took disc out and continue drive and insert disc again.
I did this SO many times when I was little and played GTA SA, what some nice memories with this game series. I remember I was driving that fast that the train was shaking, then I managed to keep that shaking without making the train go out of rails to the barrier :)

At the very beginning, why does the balla just die when he falls out of the car as CJ jacks it?
Hold down the horn button while entering the vehicle from the passenger side. It'll automatically kill the driver every time. It works during missions too.

I hear some glitch that fly to North side till 30 mins and get back (another 30mins) and the gangs territory is everywhere las Venturgas. Is it possible?

It's possible on Ps2, on PC it was patched. Also, you don't need to fly all the way back, just crash in the water or drown. Not just Las Venturas, but all your map has a chance to be converted in gang territories, including the waters, farms and woods.
On ps2 you can fly toward any point to trigger this glitch. Sometimes it can occur after the mission that you fly to Liberty City

It's really easier to drive train through a bridge barrier than come to airport and fly to the another city. I honestly tried, 8:0 bot-cops are winning, i couldn't even touch the ground when i already was falling with fire)

Becuse you past the bridge when the bridge closed locked and go thought like a bike trick you get 4 wanted level and you cant get rid of them good luck useing remove wanted level cheat

That's actually already been discussed before, it's not a glitch. The game is still functioning the way it was designed. Therefore, it cannot be a glitch.
However, it can be argued that it's an oversight on behalf of the game designers, something they did not fully anticipate happening during normal gameplay. That's still not a glitch, but it could be considered an exploit. :D
