Thanks for another review Dirk! You know I love hearing your critiques & appreciate them! I do plan to design a captive pivot style but wanted to make a functional in house pivot screw by hand first because that is how I do everything before I cnc machine anything. I have had the tools and material laying around for over a year but then cut my thumb, had to rush out the Ripper and just had all of my plans tumble over like I just lost a game a Jenga. Detent is something that seems to never be able to please 100% of people. Literally the custom build before that one, the buyer emails me and says the detent is way to strong and wanted to know how to lighten it, lol. Also glad I finally nailed a clip for you, I went through alot of design and machining strategy prototypes or clip after clip coming to a halfway point of good slope on both ends for easy in and out for various thickness material along with still holding if shaken upside down.

You can never make everyone happy that’s for sure and detent is such a personal preference.
Keep up the great work man.

Love the fuller for the reverse finger flick

Reverse finger flick is my preferred method, 99.99% of the time, so all my knives are optimized for that method first and foremost. My first model ever designed even had a "spydie" round hole in the center of the blade for this very reason. It is my opinion, if someone is not reverse finger flick opening a knife, they are missing out, lol.

Great review buddy, man I love that knife!!! And to those of you who say Dirk is specifically looking for bad points on a knife, that's simply not true, he gives a totally unbiast, neutral and honest review as he sees it, and that is the whole point of being a reviewer!!!

I agree! I always tell Dirk I love his critique. He does it in such an elegant fashion, it truly does help me watch someone's thoughts apposed to just hearing or reading it. Anyone that doesn't take genuine critique as a gift is missing out

Love your content I hope the one day I have a custom of my own but for now I'll have to stick to collecting production models and modifying them

I could do without the timascus inlay window thing bc that brushed type finish is so sexy but it's gorgeous regardless...

FYI He did not carry it around and cut with it LOL, my Oden prototypes are the only knives I don't actually carry, I collect the Prototypes for display and carry the actual customs I have had him make for me LOL

I too love prototypes. I sampled many prototypes until I found my wife 😁 As to the knife, It is interesting. I wish the inlays were a more integrated design instead of looking like a badge that was slapped on. Also for the price that will most likely be charged for this, it would be a good idea to include a pivot tool. I like the blade and overall design, but not overwhelmed by it.

I get that. And love the prototype wife comment that’s GREAT.

Lol, funny stuff on the wife comment.. The inlay was on the show side body was modeled to be in the exact center of the handle and the lines for the shape was taken from the frame lines itself and reduced down to match the overall geometry. It was also a last minute thing I did for Anthony after he claimed it for his insane amount of support over the years. I get the tool thing and will do that when I design an actual propriety pivot but as Dirk stated, a off the shelf bit included in any bit set over 30-40 bits is usually in there, but I do understand you POV. I also appreciate you comment
