-I'm a solid puh-cahn. 😆 -Bars are nice, but there's something extra wonderful about warm pie & a scoop of ice cream. 🤌🏻 -Also, tell me about your salt jar I keep seeing on your counter. How does it handle humidity? Pros & cons? -I'm also digging that quart mason jar lid thing you poured your maple syrup from. -Your sugar is lovely. I'm looking for more products to swap out on my next Azure order. Any changes in how you need to use it, or is it a straight swap? -I have yet to roll out a round pie crust. God bless your moms for having this skill! -We have spatchcocked a chicken but never a turkey! You made this look so doable. @@MichelleGoffista the salt crock has zero issues, and I LOVE having it handy on the counter. It was a wedding gift, and I did chip the rim, but I just can’t bring myself to replace it. 💕 I’m not a fan of ice cream on my pie, for some reason! I think it’s a texture thing. 😬 I LOVE the pour lids for the mason jars. The top clicks back and really works well, making pouring super simple. I will probably grab another set soon so I can use them for a few more items as needed. I use the sugar the exact same way, so no issues there! The turkey was a touch more difficult, so be ready to really clamp down on the scissors, or just use a knife and slice out the ribcage. I will definitely do it this way next time. Turkey leftovers have been “on point” so far!! We’ve had 3 meals and I’ll probably do a couple more before calling it done!! Thank you for watching and reach out any time with extra questions! I’m here to help!
G’day Jill, in Australia we say pee-can. I teach people this way: “You can. We can. Toucan. Pecan” ☺ When I was in Texas they all pronounced it p’cahn. I asked my husband why and he replied with, “…because it sounds silly to them to say ‘pee can’.” 🥹 Here we use caster sugar in whipping up cream. It has a finer texture than regular sugar, but not powdered like icing (powdered) sugar. I learned to make pecan pie while in Texas. Oh so yummy😋. My friend made me a pumpkin pie 😝 I’m guessing she used canned pumpkin 😝 I’ve thought about making it from scratch with butternut pumpkin as it has a lovely sweet flavour, but the pie she made was so awful, that I’ve never gotten around to trying it. Maybe one day.
Canned pumpkin makes a great pie. Canned pumpkin pie filling, which is also sold, definitely not for me. 😆 Pecan pie, however? Amazing, minus the nasty corn syrup!! Thanks for watching, all the way in Australia!!
@@georgettehillard9390 that also sounds delicious! Karo syrup is a big no for me, and it makes my sister-in-law sick, so all the better reason to avoid. Thanks for watching! Hope to see you back soon!
Poor decisions. 😆 I will do it again. I actually felt awesome and will probably get back there again. If you’re questioning if you should or shouldn’t, I say GO FOR IT!
In most of the south it is puh-cahn. A pee-can is something else entirely!
Exactly. 😂
