Robbie was playing to aggressively in the beginning so Jim sang to him "softer baby, soft" and Robbie obliged.
I think that it would be better a version more fast and agressive. Also it would sound better with some more arrangements, Robby had ideas. The studio version is very spartan version. The studio version would need more slide guitar and more space for Robby. Robby is a crack, in this song should have had more time on solo and arrangements. If the song had to be slow, should have had more beautiful rythm´n patterns. It´s the weakest song in LA Woman, doubtless. did hear it Rothchild this song while they rehearsed and then he decide to pass them the production ? Really this song would had required more work. In Spanish edition, with incredible good taste, removed this weak song. Certainly is not a bad song, but it hasn´t the same level as the others. By the way, John lee didn´t satisty at all with this weak song. Other very good possibility would have been to call to join in Al Wilson, Canned heat´s leader.
Best version of this one live I heard. I think I heard a bunch of this one. Love The Doors going the jazz rock direction. They can manage to throw a good amount of diverse music on each album. Man I swear I'd make a deal with the devil to live 65-71 years, and toss the rest. Man.

I seen Robbie and Ray in 2011 for the 40th anniversary of LA Woman in Costa Mesa,CA.in Aug 2014 I had the same tickets for the same venue to see them again,but 3 months before in May 2014 Ray passed.and that's the first thing I thought about.i know there's a heaven.and I know the two of them r in it
