    Hello! My first 'underground video' on the USA version of SMW. Seriously, Victor dos Santos Freitas asked me via the comments section about the Powerup Incrementation glitch in the US Version of SMW. Victor asks if it is normal that the second Yoshi has wings (which never happens in the Japanese SMW). Normally, I play an original Japanese SMW. I recently purchased an American SMW cartridge and adapter to be able to play it on a PAL system (on which I normally do my videos). As I got a lot of questions about the American version of SMW, I thought I'd start making some videos using US-SMW. I haven't started yet, but here today I made a low-fi video of me doing the Powerup Incrementation Glitch in the US version. So, Victor, I gained wings on the second Yoshi. But as you can see, the glitch still works and I'm Halloween Mario. The most important difference between the American and Japanese versions is the exact position on the rotating platform. Watch this video of Seth Bling showing the position for the American SMW: ruclips.net/video/DqF4JZ7rvEc/видео.html.
    Sorry for the rough aspect of this video… I plan to do more proper videos on the US version of SMW soon!
    Also, having some fun powerup incrementing and getting the cloud. Enjoy!

      @The Unintended Gamer: Powerincromention 4 is not suppose to give you cloud in reserve box, when yoshi as a null sprite in is mouth in console version, the normal is no Wing, dirty ram, or corrupted Ram, Wing. in Virtual console it is reverse, clean Ram, non corrupted Ram, wing. Dirty ram, or corrupted Ram, no wing. So the dirty Ram could be because you are not using it on official hardware, also because your running an adapter to play US game into a Pal version, it could used memory location of the Pal version of the SNES, so that is why you got Cloud.

      Not true man because on my nintendo 3ds, before it was stolen, I would wings for the longest time, then out of no where I just stopped getting wings. Same for on my gaming pc

      @SuperNickid 3 года назад

      @@KiddXieroGaming What I'm saying it is truth because 3DS is virtual console, so clean ram with Null sprite is Wing Yoshi, the dirty Ram could come out of a diffrent game, because you did not turn off, or reset the console before playing Super mario world so it did not clear out the previous ram used, and in some cast reset is not enough to clear previous ram used from another game. So that is why it went from no wing with null sprite. Also in Super Mario world did it crash and you only reset it, that is why it become no-wing, if not maybe just doing the power-up incremenation glitch itself can dirty the ram, which is really rare. So No wing mean dirty ram in Virtual console, that does not mean it will interfer with other gltich, but it could. And I got the information from SethBling by watching is video on Twitch on how he found out how, to do the credit warp on the Wiiu, I watch the full detail, and he was talking about this. The video is too old now so you can't see it on Twitch.

      @@SuperNickid Hi SuperNickid! Hope everything is doing well. Just to say that I believe that you're right... I now play US-SMW on another console, and the second Yoshi doesn't have wings. It is like the Japanese version. So I guess there is two 'versions' of the PI glitch for the US-SMW. Of course, the same result at the end. I will do a video soon on the Powerup Incrementation glitch for the US version and the difference with the Japanese one. Have a great summer!

    The cloud in reserve aspect has me thinking that you may be able to solve a little mystery that I originally found in the US version. If you shoot Bowser in the head with fireballs it causes some of the foreground in the arena to disappear momentarily. If you had a Lakitu's Cloud and Fire Mario you may be able to shoot him more reliably. Maybe you could try to see if that interaction means you can actually beat him with fireballs? In older games you used to be able to. In SMB3 you could beat him after using 20-ish or so. I'm wondering if they may have left something in the code after the initial prototyping phase where they were transitioning the game engine from the NES SMB3 version to the final state.

      @TheUnintendedGamer  2 года назад +1

      Hi GlitchReaper! You've got a very interesting question! I never tried it. But you know, Bowser has three battle phase, so I guess even with fireballs, you'll need to go through these stages to beat him... Nevertheless, I'll try it, just for fun. So you say it's better to do it in the US version? I'll start there. Thanks for your comment!

      @@TheUnintendedGamer I don't know for sure if it's better/easier in the US version, but that's the one I noticed this in. I'm also expecting the phases to factor in, but we won't be sure until we try. I really appreciate the kudos!

      @TheUnintendedGamer  3 года назад +1

      Hi ProGamer! Sorry, I am not sure if the Powerup Incrementation glitch works for the snes mini europe... I do know that in the original PAL version of SMW (released in Europe in 1992), the glitch does not work, it has been patched! (This is one reason I don't play the PAL version). Hope you find your information. All the best!

    Powerup incrementation is consistent right?

    • @TheUnintendedGamer
      @TheUnintendedGamer  2 года назад

      Hi Gorn! Yes, if you do it right, no problem, you can go up to 255! But if you spit the null sprite at the wrong timing or position Yoshi not at the precise pixel, then usually the game crashes... and you have to reset... Good luck!
