Looking at the complex lattice structure and the great comfort on feet, full respect to the insane amount of computing power that was used to create and optimise this design.
That’s gonna be a long wait for availability. A pair takes hours to make, and those scalpers takes minutes if not seconds to snag all of them for resale.
@@Bslatz I’m sure it will, but the hardest part is not knowing when. It could be months or years before ASICS mass produces this slide. This is what happened to adidas ultraboost and 4D back in the day.
Defiantly not 100% would make it a brick it’s just the way thick material layering properties work And printtime would takes weeks and several rolls of filament
This ASICS 3D slide is hard to come by. It was only available two times on ASICS before it was sold out. I’m not going to pay those scalpers at the resale market. It’s going to be a long wait before ASICS makes this slide plentiful available.
Been looking to 3D print my own shoes as i literally cannot find shoes in my size (size 17 US and 3x extra wide…) biggest issue I’ve found is that most 3D printers aren’t big enough! (My foot literally measures 1 foot/12 inches long…)
Ive got some adidias 4d 4wrds and theyre nuts. Genuinely most comfortable shoe i own and i literally walk to my classes faster; they literally save me time in my routine.
I love this! The only thing I would say is they definitely should put a layer of tread under the slide to make it more durable. I can only imagine these getting torn up from wear and tear and the whole structure being compromised. I would also like to see these get super muddy and get rinsed out.
Enjoying the 3D printed shoe content. Looking at the surface your foot makes contact with, makes me think, if you wear them barefoot, you'd end the day with a bunch of squares pressed into your foot.
I wonder how long it would take before someone duplicates the design for printing at home. At $80 I guess it's not really about making money for the manufacturer. More like a fun thing for their customers to experience.
Look amazing and comfy, but I can’t justify a slide I wouldn’t be able to take to the beach. I’m imagining the nightmare of getting sand stuck in the lattice. We’ll see how far 3D printing goes in the future!
Whether you know it or not Sir but you are encouraging a voice for the homeless, encouraging the youth, helping save the earth, helping businesses bottom lines and so much fucking more it's insane. It may seem like a 3D printer is for toys but it's only as limited as the creators mental capacity. Thank you!!!!
Other materials are superior for uppers in performance, price, endurance, and *plastic shedding*. It just does not make sense and isn't responsible for a mass producer.
I agree Speaking from experience as I try to fix rubbing problems on shoes I designed and printed that work 100% as daily work and athletic shoe. The rubbing is caused by a thin flexible back that is only easily fixed by making the back thicker with a more flexible material, but then the sole would be too weak to support work and athletic use The More flexible material would mean thicker higher infill soles and thicker walls doubling print time and cost
The general public won’t get a chance since the making of this slide is time consuming to make for ASICS in their attempt to enter the 3D tech. This will likely be the same scenario when adidas first released ultraboost and 4d shoes, which were so limited and expensive in resale market. It’d take a long time for ASICS to make their 4D slide widely available.
I love your 3d printing shoes videos. I have an ender 3v2 and i´m still triying to print a functional shoe. Here in Argentina we do not have Ninja flex, wa only have 2 optionsfor flexibles for now. One is too stiff and the other is very squeeshy...less than ninja flex for as i know. Could you recomend some printing settings for a god shoe?
how does a 3d printed shoe fabricated with the most versatile medium end up being sold with onle a few sizes where they could leverage 3d printing to offer 3d foot scan to make them bespoke
So long as you don't wear it outdoors, I'd think you could just throw it in the dishwasher, as it doesn't seem to rely on glue (which can dissolve in a dishwasher).
You are correct.. Slides, Flip Flops, Sandals.. are all shoes.. for uses in showers and pools which are wet areas.. thus the open breathable "shoe" to allow your foot to dry.. Not really meant for "wearing" but hey they are easy and lazyness aboutnds the younger the generations get.. it started with leaving your shoe unlased or loosley laced qnd cram your foot.. to this.. But Happily.. there is an upside.. And it has provideed me with hours and hours of comedy.. since the shoe is not attached.. people are prone to kicking them off.. which causes all kinds of funny.. trips.. falls.. scuffs.. bleeds.. etc... Shocking? Yeah I know.. Shocking someone would get mad or think differently.. you know your odds and chances when you put the shoes "on.".. You spin the wheel you take what ya get.. RIGHT! I love this content man and also I bought these slides and my LORD they are comfy. Wearing them almost every where.
Would you say it is among the 5 most comfortable slides ever made?

Yeah, this will get so gross wearing outdoors. But I think it would work well for indoors on title, so long as it's not wet.
I have slides and foam runners, but looking to stop supporting adidas in favor of ASICS. These look dope
Your welcome about the Asics 3D slides Seth

Damn, I love the green socks
I wonder what kind of resin they're made out of that makes them flexible 🤔 10 hours is definitely better than 5 days though..
Man I appreciate the review. I carried on for a pretty long time but I do appreciate it. Thanks man.
imma get a pair of the XL when they restock, and id order the 3d print Adidas shoes if they has size 15. Big Feet Problems fr
They look mad comfortable
They look amaizing! But no chance for me,to wear them with soks :)
A good idea, good material and a good 3D printer can change drastically in better the quality of your life.
the only problems with all these shoes is the fact that you can go out in the rain and in water unless you want to get wet
That’s crazy,thx Seth!
I really wish that you 3D printed that model. It's new and w need an upload please brother.

the problem with your ninjaflex slides is you didn't use enough infill you hollowed it out to much to save on print time

shoe is not available anymore next
Shoes: A thing that covers up your foot
Slides: Does not cover your toes
Seth: Slides = Shoes

When did slides ever cover your foot? They slide into your feet, not many shoes can do that
For 9 and 9 1/2 whats the perfect size of this slide ?
Try the 4D FWD 2 from adidas
"Shoe is a thing, that covers up your foot"
uhmmmm so is a sock.
