His life story sounds like a 12 year old bragging in the schoolyard. “….and then I became a Ninja and all the other Ninjas said I was the best Ninja! Then I won the fight and everyone said I was the best and I should stop doing secret fights cos I was too good………and then I fought some pirates!!”
Love the movie though
You make it sound like something Trump would say Lol
😁👍
Exactly! Many people really believe the fraud/conman.
Damn man I want to go fight some pirates. Where can we find some. I want a trophy peg leg. You can have the sword. I mean I did a little jujitsu at King of Prussia Mall. I'm ready.

This guy reminds me of Steven Seagal claiming he trained with Bruce Lee in California and their sons were friends. Seagal wasn't even in America at the time and I don't think Seagal's son was born until after Bruce died. These guys are nuts.
I’m shocked Seagal didn’t claim he taught Bruce Lee everything he knew
Great comment!
Seagal never said any of that
@@paleo704he did.. u just don't know segal fanboy😂
The nuts are the people who believe them
I wonder if deep inside he felt shame and a sense of inferiority by knowing that his claims were simply not true, or if he just enjoyed the fabricated fame. I just can’t imagine how anyone can achieve a sense of fulfillment from a life of deception.
Great review as always, thank you Dr. Grande.❤️

Shoutout to Dr grande for keeping a straight face while telling this guy's stories.
The rapid fire insertions of Steven Seagal's movies was outstandingly funny. 😂
Frank Dux might have been a total fraud, but at least we got "Bloodsport" from As everyone knows, that movie launched the career of an excellent, world-famous and highly respected actor--Forrest Whittaker.

Thing is ...Frank is a Jewish. He is also from Hollywood. If you know anything about how the way works, you know his small but high nepotistic tribe control the levers. It's really not far fetched to consider Frank was given short cuts and his BS bought. Just see Krav Maga. So much BS happened with martial arts before the UFC too. People, even in super high places, were believing and practicing BS.
I once attended a speech given by Robert Gates, CIA director during the George W Bush administration. He mentioned that the real term for a CIA operative is a case officer. An agent is the friendly or unfriendly foreign subject that a case officer is involved with.
I have been hoping against hope you'd get to Frank Dux one day... And yet, here you are. An angel of psychosomatic kumite, turning Seagal movie titles into free form poetry. I suspect that, when it comes to Mr Dux, we're ALL speculating on what might be happening. And this includes Frank, himself.
Including all of those Steven Seagal movie titles in the narrative was absolutely brilliant. I’m still laughing.🤣😂
I agree. He’s very witty
There was another guy similar to Dux named Charlie Ward. Claimed military service, multiple college degrees, hundreds of secretive fights in exotic foreign places. The guy even conned his way into a teaching gig at Arizona State University! Supposedly died in a car accident, but, I wouldn't put it past him to fake his own death for a fresh start. I went to highschool with him but didn't really get to know him. He got called out on a forum called Bullshido. Lol.
When you are so bad you get called out on Bullshido... you've hit the "big time" ...Lol!
There’s probably a lot of ppl like this. So many ppl gullible enough to believe it.
Of course he fought off pirates to save orphaned children. O_o

@@marshawerner7882 exactly.
I met Frank Dux back in 1990 out in Barstow, CA. He was teaching a martial arts class that was..."For Military and Law Enforcement Only". Its funny how the class/event was publicly advertised and was held at a place that was open to the public. Seems like this type of class should have been classified and not public.
Why would it be classified lol?
Now, if he had only qualified as a US Navy submarine door gunner as well he'd really be the bees knees!
Seabees knees imo.
I used to clean the windshields off when it rained.
He did. He was so fast he can fly and man the door gun at the same time.
Excellent use of movie titles by Dr. Grande. Beyond the medal of honor claim which of course is extremely disrespectful to actual veterans, it seems like he is just a harmless old man who probably should be channeling his delusions into writing spy/mystery novels, not giving interviews.
"Rafael Torre" is another case you should cover, He is another fake martial artist that was involved with a bunch of famous people, actually had a fixed fight later on that was obviously fixed, wrote for some online mma forums and gained some popularity, ended up dating this girl and killing her husband, it's just a great case that needs your analyzes. He was talked about a lot of Joe rogan's podcast because they all knew him.
An excellent suggestion.
I was JCVD back in the day. Did the splits between two chairs. Even got a double hernia. Good times bad clothing styles.
lol
Someone once broke down the math of the number of people required to sustain a tournament the size of the one he claimed to win, and it would have been a 10,000 person tournament. A totally underground, secret 10,000 person tournament.
Sounds legit to me !!! 😂 👍
Frank refutes this well in an interview with The Viking Samurai. The format of the tournament was completely different from the modern tournament format.
This takedown is so brutal it would be illegal in a karate tournament.
Frank has mastered the art of ninja deception so well, that he can tell the stories of all his top secret missions, and no one believe him.. thus keeping them top secret.
That is the best part..."ALL MY $HIT is TOP SECRET...but I'll tell anyone in a BAR about it". Wish he would have pretended to be a SEAL so Don Shipley could get ahold of him...
😂😂👍
@@georgemartin1436 Dux claimed to have been awarded the Medal of Honor. Isn't that enough?
Stop the joking please...I might meet this man one day. I may attempt to employ him to take out one of my brothers. He may have a successful mission regarding my covert narcky-shark ex-brother(who lies for a pasttime) and nobody will believe his claim about the mission..thus rendering me innocent.
I think I like "Drank "n" F*x"...sorry...Frank Dux.
What baffles me about Frank Dux is that anyone believed his stories! His tales sound like a six-year-old bragging on a playground about his dead Dad or some imaginary Uncle. Dux's fantastical yarns sound like plots to low budget comic books or really bad pulp fiction.
That's probably where he got them all! He's like Walter Mitty-meets-Baron Munchausen, lol!
Half of the country believes that Donald Trump is actually a good president that has their best interest in mind I'm also it's not so far-fetched
C'mon! Sixty round, every 6 year tournament for the baddest baddasses! The guy obviously fought in Mortal Kombat. They wouldn't ask any 6 year old on just any playground!
jews like Dux get $upport from jews like Dux.
There are over a billion people on the planet that believed some guy when he said he was his own dad and now lives in a magical sky Palace
People are gullible.
I am entering a Counseling Ed and Supervision(PhD) program next year, that being said Dr. Grande is hilarious! Dead Pan humor at it's best.
Lol 🤣🤣 I just asked my boyfriend (who is 10 years older than me) if he's ever heard of the movie "Bloodsports" and he immediately perks up and goes yeah that movie is based on a true story. So I guess Frank's lies were very much believed even though listening to them now is laughable.
To be fair, I think the main character in bloodsports wasn't a super master ninja, I don't recall if he was working as spy either, but I think he was in the army or something.
Based on a true story is a phrase that is so general it can literally mean anything.
@@emailchrismoll Surpassed only by "inspired by true events".
It was true in the 80s and 90s
How old is your boyfriend? I’m 32 and remember a good deal of 80s and 90s action stars
Outstanding Dr. Grande. Before I destroyed my ankle in a car wreck I was in martial arts for decades and all someone needed to say was 'Dux' to make everyone in the dojo laugh.
Would you consider also looking at Count Dante aka John Keehan? Dante was a respected early promoter of martial arts in the usa then sort of went all Dux a decade or more earlier.
I remember Dante's ads in the back of comic books...gotta get the word out there somehow lol.
Count Dante could kill with a touch! -so the comic book ads claimed. I believe there are still 'students' of his teaching somewhere in Chicago.
Dim mak, I believe...the death touch. Most intimidating hair dresser of all time!
Those Steven Seagal movie puns are absolute gold.
I feel like Dr G has been wanting to do this one since 1994 when he saw Bloodsport on late night TV.
Cmon Dr G, we all know you've done the blind hands way out pose. We all have
This story is insane! Great find. Fun and weird topic to cover. Your movie title one-liner game is impeccable. There's a lot of low-hanging fruit, but it seemed like you picked the whole orchard.
Wow. Even before the advent of the internet, who actually fell for that garbage? Great analysis as usual Dr Grande-with the best run on use of Steven Seagal movie titles I’ve ever seen.
That seagal bit was the best I've seen of you yet mate. GOLD!
I used to lie to make myself sound more exciting. I did grow out of it once I reached adulthood however. And even when I was a child, and I think I would’ve known Not to push it quite as far as he did.Saving orphans who are kidnapped by pirates. He was definitely stretching it there. He really should have been a fiction writer he could have gotten 20 protagonists out of all of his stories
That’s what I was thinking. There’s no shame in exaggerating things and sometimes building a fantasy of yourself. I did this a child, and if the women is attractive enough I’ve done it as an adult LOL. But like you said, there has to be some humility to it. The Doctor was talking about “no competition” and that’s really interesting. No one was even close. No others who helped as well. Chuck Norris was at least smart enough to add these things in his movies.
Should of watched before writing! So much research, incredible writing, story telling & fantastic humor!! Thanks for making my Saturday afternoon!

One of your most entertaining play on words and over all humor! You definitely got a lot of mileage out of the titles for Segal's movies in perfect order. After your first few sentences we knew this guy was FOS. Any guy who has done what he claims would not go bragging about it. Just the total ridiculousness and incompetence of his lies is a joke. Obviously he has absolutely no shame to create such fantastical lies that most people could see through and scoff at right off the bat. Thanks for the informative and humourous analogy.
Back in the 80s, in my first few weeks at school, there was a boy in my class who told the most unbelievable stories. Really over-the-top phantasies of him being able to fly. The boy was quickly transferred to a special needs school. Looking back, I'm shocked that a 6-year-old with lots of imagination got treated this quickly as mentally disabled. And then you hear all these stories about people telling the wildest of stories and lies, being successful and admired at least by some folks. Had the boy waited with his stories until he was of age, he may have become a celebrity, but telling weird stories as a child was not accepted. 🤦♀️
Let’s just say Frank was exceptional in more ways than one and move on.
He can have his moments of martial arts and combat delusions.
Thanks to Dr Grande we now know the truth about him (and Steven Seagal).

I recall as a kid in the 80’s thinking Frank Dux was the real bad ass after I watch Blood Sport (I probably watched it over 25 times). I hated reading and school work so in 6th or 7th grade I concocted the idea to do a book report based purely on the movie Blood Sport. I just made up the copyright date and the other necessary things that were required, maybe even the title but I don’t recall. I got an A+! I recall having that discussions that Van Damme was an actual black belt and legit, so at least that part turned out to be true. I call Frank Dux "Pinocchio". That man has lied so much, I think he believes his own lies as we speak.
I saw him in an interview with Viking Samurai a while back, and you can tell the host was like "really bro" just with his face. It was a four part series and Frank has no shame in justifying his claims and delusions of grandeur. I will give him the fact that when he collaborated with Sheldon Levitch and JVCD, they made amazing and classic martial arts movies. He should've continued that track by collaborating and even providing great stories. But his ego is so inflated that he burned so many bridges in the process. He is a lesson to all of us to always do a self analysis to make sure that we don't believe our own hype and that there is always room for improvement and humility.
If possible, you should do an analysis on Jason Dwayne Blaha aka the Fake Merc, aka The "bodybuilder" aka the "Tough Guy Alpha Male" aka-you get the point.
