@@Krems_I rank up most solo q 2-6am. I get off at work at 1am and honestly those lobbies ain’t too bad. The real sweats mostly gone to sleep and the people still on are grinders but are either growing tired or just burnt out for the day. Typically decently easy. Less toxic but some more stupid decisions from players sometimes

The game actually becomes so much easier. 99% of the time there will be at least one player that goes to match, chat and rages because the one character that they know how to play is gone. And at that point, it just becomes simple math. Either you get the shitter and you guys lose guaranteed or the enemy team has the shitter and they lose guaranteed. It’s actually eye-opening how many players in Hi elo are absolute trash and only know how to play cloak and dagger.
What’s up with the hate for cloak? They’re not even top 3 for heals. Mantis, Luna snow, and invis woman all have higher win rates and better ults. The only thing cloak has going for them is the auto tracking which stops being helpful once you hit plat 1+. The triple support meta with Luna, mantis, and either invis woman or Loki is insane at the higher ranks right now.
Cloak is definitely a top 3 strategist. Her burst heals are crazy, cloaks utility is really good, and you have fight winning ultimate that you can farm really easily. @pubplays368
Just be sure your team isn't the one that rages from it. I've had games thrown because my team decided our CD shouldn't exist. They pre-picked a hero and you want to take away our guaranteed CD for the possibility of them having one? Immediate tilted and went dps instead 0-8. "Don't ban my hero" in the end game chat. I don't condone throwing a game, but it's also not smart to ban a hero some one pre-selects. My one and only exception is Wolverine because it's for the tanks.
@@pubplays368 the problem currently with cloak and dagger is the same problem that overwatch faces with mercy players. When you get a really good mercy on your team. You notice., but on the flipside when you get a garbage one with no brain, you notice it even harder. Just like Mercy her kid is extremely basic, although unlike modern Day Mercy. Cloak actually has an amazing ultimate. So a lot of dog shit players don’t really have to do much at all to get value because she currently has the best support alt in the game. So when you start climbing really high like me and flats there are ALOT of absolutely terrible cloak, and dagger means that have this super high ego, even though they only play her, and then if you take her away, then they are indistinguishable from a bronze player. But of course, just like the mercy remains that are the same way. Their ego is so high that they think everyone else is the problem and not them.

But even though rocket raccoon is easy at face value. It can be very difficult to outperform the other big four supports as a rocket main. And then when you take their pick away from them, they turn into a bronze player and have a whole temper tantrum. It reminds me a lot of mercy remains on overwatch. Seeing as how the problem is so similar with their being and oversaturated amount of pocket mercies that actually suck at the game.
2:00 most like the memory leak that Rivals has, the game chews through ram with it consistantly uses 20 gigs of ram on my setup. I have 32 gigs and still have this issue every now and then along with crashing. I really hope they fix it in a later patch, but there has been no mention of it at all.
Dude im glad you mentioned this cuz I have mad crashes with rivals. Somedays itll crash with me just exiting out of the game lmao. One thing rivals makes me appreciate is how butter smooth overwatch is. The only issue I ever have with ow is high ping from being on other servers or poor internet connection. Even when I have high ping I barely notice. If you play rivals over 100 ping it HURTS
From what I remember, a similar issue had to do with the type of processor you have, I've never had this issue on laptop and my graphics are on high. I don't remember what processor it is though

Curious to know why you enjoy this game and not overwatch since the gameplay is functionally the same in a lot of ways. Not trying to facetious I'm just curious to know as someone who liked both games.
@@blaked.4571 I could never get into overwatch but marvel rivals clicked for me, I think the reason for me is because i found my main role faster then in OW. When I briefly played OW I played only DPS and Support and jus wasn't having a good time and felt like I had no control. In rivals I play almost exclusively tank and have been having a blast. I think its also helped that I play a ton of valorant so my general aim is a lot better its just game sense that I'm lacking. For me rivals is so fun because i feel like I'm learning all about the game and my mechanics aren't the reason I'm losing. Where as in OW I was confused and had trash mechanics.
@@tomclancy8821maybe it's cuz u enjoy 6v6, cuz that's the only major difference between both the games. OW2 is 5v5 which means more pressure on each individual player to perform. While in rivals it's more casual & have more room to breathe being 6v6 & u cn have more room for errors.

17:15 I feel like its pretty commonly agreed that support players get boosted a bit higher than the other roles, but cloak i think are the biggest offenders. So many just farm ult and spam it asap and it carries them to diamond without understanding what is even going on. Same with the mk players than farm his ult and know how to use it. they cant win a single 1on1, have very little impact outside of their ults.

The whole matchmaking in this game is just weird, I don't understand how I can get paired with seriously amazing teammates like 4 times in a row and then get paired with some of the most braindead people imaginable, 3 times in a row, IN DIAMOND 1!!! Some of those players don't even know the payload goes faster if you stand on it, or that if you leave the area, you no longer contest it and they also could not form a team-up even if you pointed a fucking gun at them, it is infuriating.
Same here. Had a team that was all pretty good and the entire other team was trash just jumping in 1 at a time. I've had a game of going 32 and 5 and my 2 attackers got 2 and 6 kills
This is very true. I’m also diamond 1. I’ll win 3-4 games most of which will be decently close, then I’ll go on a 5 loss streak thanks to supports who try and play their character as dps and tanks who think their higher hp can let them 1v6. I kid you not when I say people back in bronze were more competent than some of the teammates Im getting in diamond 1. Whatever system they use to find matches is very flawed, it’s supposed to be skill based matchmaking but it feels like the game chooses one players skill to match off of instead of factoring in the entire team and finding a good average. I wish us both luck in trying to rank up to GM+, it’s painful right bow

Weekend ranked mode is BY FAR the worst possible time to play ranked. Morning is hit or miss because most mornings you will get all the try hard trying to grind early. But weekends is just straight up no man’s land you will almost always be put against. The hardest of all try hards, meanwhile, all the 40 year-old dads that only game five hours a week will magically appear on your team almost every time. Sometimes I question how I ever made it back to grandmaster this season solo
@ I should have probably mentioned that I am a 30-year-old dad🤣. The only reason I am allowed to game 5 hours or more a day, is because I own my own business, get to choose my own hours, and have a wife that has a weird obsession with having the kids in her care at all times 😭. Every two or three days I put the full day aside for family time and making sure she is not overloaded. But I am extremely fortunate to not be one of the dads whose entire life is gone the second you hit 28.🤣
Yo that’s crazy he’s talking about Ping. I just had two comp matches that lagged out. I didn’t get any penalties for it like lost LP or ban for a couple minutes. But I definitely experienced it
the packet loss thing was real because i was having this issue the moment the patch came out and id fly across the map as Spiderman only to teleport back and all my cooldown being activated for a entire game every couple of games
I work very early in the morning, usually start at 4 am but sometimes I go in at 2am. So even on my days off sleeping in for me is like 5 or 6 am, so I have been playing ranked very early in the morning. My duo partner and I tried waiting till later in the day to start playing ranked, and yeah we started wining so much more lol.
Morning (2-7 am, my sleep schedule is fucked) got me to gold with only a 40% win rate. Since I'm gold now, and I'm going to get the skin, I'm done trying to rank up. Whatever happens to my rank from here to the end of the season, happens.
That's what I did season 0. Hit Gold 3 and left it, got the Moon Knight skin. Currently sitting at the cusp of Gold 1, keep licking it at 99/100 pts but then get matched with players that just give up after the first engagement. "Oh gg games over we've lost" my brother the match just started nothing's happened. That plus I give up on playing if I lose 5 games in a row cos I know I'm having an off day at that point. I don't mind being stuck gold, climbing plat to gm isn't what I want out of this game but man some days you will just get teammates who can't even obtain a single kill to save their lives. Can't always blame your team but in games like this it gets draining when you svp your losses. Like I know when I end svp on Magneto my team was just not it.
Hey Flats, I played a match this morning before seeing this, I should’ve known better. We had a dps player say “I have no team” in public chat (he didn’t even have ace). The second round, he immediately went groot and started putting up walls all over the place so we couldn’t get to the objective. He was so unbelievably toxic. I know better now than to play early morning ranked now.

I’ve been stuck at diamond 2 for over a week. I start playing around noon on my days off, and if I stay online too long I lose all my progress around 4-6pm. For context: I work a lot, I got a wife and I don’t have buddies to team with. I’m a solo queue player, a casual, but not by choice. So I have to stop playing around 3pm if I want to hit GM as a solo queue player. Gotta play while the no-lifers are asleep and the ultra-sweaty teenagers are in school And it’s hard to pull myself away from playing ranked prematurely. I want to have fun when I’ve got the time off/ I want a challenge and I want meaningful practice vs players of my skill level and above. Time to make an alt account I guess

Off peak hour games are sooooo much easier than peak hour games. I feel like my team knows what they are doing off peak and during peak everyone is braindead.
I completely feel flats pain here. I got on in the morning of my day off on Monday. Like 6 to 10am and had some of my worst games fell from gm to diamond. And when around 2 or 3 pm hit i got back on and catapulted all the way back up to gm2.
I work night shift as a closer and yeah this hit home for me I was only able to hit Gold 2 last season because my friends work the opposite shift of me. It felt like Ello hell even if I waited a few days to play I couldn’t take it so I feel him on this it’s super rough.

It was the same in any battle Royal I played, mornings were amazing for solo matches because of the amount of trash players. As soon as people got home from school and work though matches got harder again
This is like why I hate it in plat sometimes. Like as vanguard player our job is to create space. Push them back. Get in a bit off damage and with the help from supports keeping us alive and then dps they should then be able to help get kills. I’m playing solo and I had a game where I was creating space I was really trying hard but my dps just kept on walking away and doing their own kill hunting and always dying but instead blamed it on the vanguard (me) and someone else for playing bad and costing the game. Like bro you might have more eliminations but it’s not my job to get the eliminations. It’s my job to create space for you. Put a fight in. Make them weak and you help finish them off. Like bro. I sit and watch all my gameplay to better myself and reflect on my mistakes but that game I couldn’t find any and I watched his gameplay my god the amount of solo dives he did to just die were crazy.

I'll never understand complaining about ads. Sure, streaming is a privileged job for sure, but they still have to make money. The same people complaining about ads on streams have every subscription under the sun to huge corporations, but draw the line at a $5 a month sub to a streamer they like, or even higher value, twitch turbo.

When they walk through the choke, they’ll get hit by the wall. (Grass walls attack and iron wall gives temporary health) They probably won’t destroy it either so they’ll have to take more damage trying to go through this choke.
Is this not the normal Marvel Rivals experience? I started in season 0 and I can count the number of close matches ive had in this game on one hand. Its always a curbstomp session when you play solo. Either you get teamed with the crayon eaters and get pushed back to spawn, or you get teamed against them and go 30-1 K/D.

Competitive is where people instalock DPS and won't change even when they see there is only one healer. Quickplay is where people will go 2 tank 4 healer cause "screw it, it'll be funny. and we still win because the other team has more chromosomes.

I'd assume it's the same. The average pc player is better than your average console player, but since both are split in rank, average console against average console evens out, same with above average vice versa. The playing fields are even on both accounts, therefore I'd say it's just as hard or easy on the opposite end.
No it’s way harder. On PC about everybody knows how to play, but on console you get a lot of little timmies who find themselves in high elo thanks to carries, because they don’t have a PC powerful enough to play the game. Console also takes a lot more skill to play well on too. So yes, it’s harder. Is pc more sweaty? Yes, it is, but console you’ll get bad players more consistently to logically it’s harder.
harder. console will have much younger players in general, who are less capable of teamwork and far more casual, and you also cannot maximize the effectiveness of many heroes with a controller compared to a mouse. that said if you have a good duo or trio, the games will have weaker opponents and you can win them easier in a certain sense

I've been learning MK and can confirm that the 1v1's are hard. That's why I practice in QP. And if I'm not getting value outside of ult, I swap out.

Some of those players don't even know the payload goes faster if you stand on it, or that if you leave the area, you no longer contest it and they also could not form a team-up even if you pointed a fucking gun at them, it is infuriating.

This is very true. I’m also diamond 1. I’ll win 3-4 games most of which will be decently close, then I’ll go on a 5 loss streak thanks to supports who try and play their character as dps and tanks who think their higher hp can let them 1v6. I kid you not when I say people back in bronze were more competent than some of the teammates Im getting in diamond 1.
Whatever system they use to find matches is very flawed, it’s supposed to be skill based matchmaking but it feels like the game chooses one players skill to match off of instead of factoring in the entire team and finding a good average. I wish us both luck in trying to rank up to GM+, it’s painful right bow

Weekend ranked mode is BY FAR the worst possible time to play ranked. Morning is hit or miss because most mornings you will get all the try hard trying to grind early. But weekends is just straight up no man’s land you will almost always be put against. The hardest of all try hards, meanwhile, all the 40 year-old dads that only game five hours a week will magically appear on your team almost every time. Sometimes I question how I ever made it back to grandmaster this season solo

@ I should have probably mentioned that I am a 30-year-old dad🤣. The only reason I am allowed to game 5 hours or more a day, is because I own my own business, get to choose my own hours, and have a wife that has a weird obsession with having the kids in her care at all times 😭. Every two or three days I put the full day aside for family time and making sure she is not overloaded. But I am extremely fortunate to not be one of the dads whose entire life is gone the second you hit 28.🤣

the packet loss thing was real because i was having this issue the moment the patch came out and id fly across the map as Spiderman only to teleport back and all my cooldown being activated for a entire game every couple of games

I've noticed the best time to play (I'm plat 3 rn) is between 2pm till 8pm EST because anytime before or after you get terrible lobbies.
After seeing flat and emongg at diamon 3 while I'm hard-stuck at plat 1~2, I felt a lot better now.

I work very early in the morning, usually start at 4 am but sometimes I go in at 2am. So even on my days off sleeping in for me is like 5 or 6 am, so I have been playing ranked very early in the morning. My duo partner and I tried waiting till later in the day to start playing ranked, and yeah we started wining so much more lol.
Morning (2-7 am, my sleep schedule is fucked) got me to gold with only a 40% win rate.
Since I'm gold now, and I'm going to get the skin, I'm done trying to rank up. Whatever happens to my rank from here to the end of the season, happens.
That's my plan too. Although I'll probably stick to ranked for casual play as well, bc I really don't like the bot matches.
That's what I did season 0. Hit Gold 3 and left it, got the Moon Knight skin. Currently sitting at the cusp of Gold 1, keep licking it at 99/100 pts but then get matched with players that just give up after the first engagement.
"Oh gg games over we've lost" my brother the match just started nothing's happened. That plus I give up on playing if I lose 5 games in a row cos I know I'm having an off day at that point. I don't mind being stuck gold, climbing plat to gm isn't what I want out of this game but man some days you will just get teammates who can't even obtain a single kill to save their lives. Can't always blame your team but in games like this it gets draining when you svp your losses. Like I know when I end svp on Magneto my team was just not it.
Hey Flats, I played a match this morning before seeing this, I should’ve known better. We had a dps player say “I have no team” in public chat (he didn’t even have ace). The second round, he immediately went groot and started putting up walls all over the place so we couldn’t get to the objective. He was so unbelievably toxic. I know better now than to play early morning ranked now.

I’ve been stuck at diamond 2 for over a week. I start playing around noon on my days off, and if I stay online too long I lose all my progress around 4-6pm.
For context: I work a lot, I got a wife and I don’t have buddies to team with. I’m a solo queue player, a casual, but not by choice.
So I have to stop playing around 3pm if I want to hit GM as a solo queue player.
Gotta play while the no-lifers are asleep and the ultra-sweaty teenagers are in school
And it’s hard to pull myself away from playing ranked prematurely. I want to have fun when I’ve got the time off/ I want a challenge and I want meaningful practice vs players of my skill level and above.

Off peak hour games are sooooo much easier than peak hour games. I feel like my team knows what they are doing off peak and during peak everyone is braindead.
I completely feel flats pain here. I got on in the morning of my day off on Monday. Like 6 to 10am and had some of my worst games fell from gm to diamond. And when around 2 or 3 pm hit i got back on and catapulted all the way back up to gm2.
I work night shift as a closer and yeah this hit home for me I was only able to hit Gold 2 last season because my friends work the opposite shift of me. It felt like Ello hell even if I waited a few days to play I couldn’t take it so I feel him on this it’s super rough.
I think that the late night ranked are even more brutal

Unemployment hours having hard matches due to skilled players is a total myth. It was the same in any battle Royal I played, mornings were amazing for solo matches because of the amount of trash players. As soon as people got home from school and work though matches got harder again
I work from home for a very laid back company and make a decent living. Not all of us are unemployed who play in the morning.

This is like why I hate it in plat sometimes. Like as vanguard player our job is to create space. Push them back. Get in a bit off damage and with the help from supports keeping us alive and then dps they should then be able to help get kills. I’m playing solo and I had a game where I was creating space I was really trying hard but my dps just kept on walking away and doing their own kill hunting and always dying but instead blamed it on the vanguard (me) and someone else for playing bad and costing the game. Like bro you might have more eliminations but it’s not my job to get the eliminations. It’s my job to create space for you. Put a fight in. Make them weak and you help finish them off. Like bro. I sit and watch all my gameplay to better myself and reflect on my mistakes but that game I couldn’t find any and I watched his gameplay my god the amount of solo dives he did to just die were crazy.

I've had the opposite experience. Morning lobbies have been more serious and enjoyable than late night/weekend lobbies, filled with kids and drunk people
now that i think about it... i lose more in the morning and win more at night...
I'll never understand complaining about ads. Sure, streaming is a privileged job for sure, but they still have to make money. The same people complaining about ads on streams have every subscription under the sun to huge corporations, but draw the line at a $5 a month sub to a streamer they like, or even higher value, twitch turbo.

When they walk through the choke, they’ll get hit by the wall. (Grass walls attack and iron wall gives temporary health) They probably won’t destroy it either so they’ll have to take more damage trying to go through this choke.
Is this not the normal Marvel Rivals experience? I started in season 0 and I can count the number of close matches ive had in this game on one hand. Its always a curbstomp session when you play solo. Either you get teamed with the crayon eaters and get pushed back to spawn, or you get teamed against them and go 30-1 K/D.
I experience this in quickplay but not comp. Honestly most of my matches are competitive unless I play with my brain dead homies for fun.

Competitive is where people instalock DPS and won't change even when they see there is only one healer. Quickplay is where people will go 2 tank 4 healer cause "screw it, it'll be funny. and we still win because the other team has more chromosomes.

Flats is console on rank easier then PC?
I'd assume it's the same. The average pc player is better than your average console player, but since both are split in rank, average console against average console evens out, same with above average vice versa.
The playing fields are even on both accounts, therefore I'd say it's just as hard or easy on the opposite end.
Any console players notice any aim assist? I'm on pc but always play controller and noticed there's no slow down at all on pc.

No it’s way harder. On PC about everybody knows how to play, but on console you get a lot of little timmies who find themselves in high elo thanks to carries, because they don’t have a PC powerful enough to play the game. Console also takes a lot more skill to play well on too. So yes, it’s harder. Is pc more sweaty? Yes, it is, but console you’ll get bad players more consistently to logically it’s harder.
harder. console will have much younger players in general, who are less capable of teamwork and far more casual, and you also cannot maximize the effectiveness of many heroes with a controller compared to a mouse. that said if you have a good duo or trio, the games will have weaker opponents and you can win them easier in a certain sense
