Despite its easy final boss and the fatality system, I think it's one of the best MKs, if not the best so far. Along with MK9, that is.

I’ve been feeling like Netherealm Studios should remaster all the classic MK games like set them into categories like Mortal Kombat: Retro Kollection (mk1-mk4), Mortal Kombat: 3D Kollection (Mk Deadly Alliance-Mk Armageddon) and Mortal Kombat: Modern Kollection (Mk vs Dc-Mk11)
I played Puzzle Kombat on my DSi once when I had Ultimate Mortal Kombat for it. I won't lie, I sucked. But it was pretty fun

Also each of MKX's characters have 3 varients of the same character that play different enough to be separate characters, so 1 character is equal to 3 characters, 4 if you factor in Triborg's hidden Cyber Sub-Zero varient. So in a way, MKX actually has 100 characters.
@Insight Hazard I agree with you but not totally. The Triborg on MKX really sucks, they put 3 mothafucking characters in one. The way you said, the only game on the MK saga that would do this was MKA, but it ain't.
really, Mortal Kombat has evolved a lot, both in Select Screen's and in Characters, and I love this game so much

Mortal Kombat 1,2,3 hold a special place in my heart
MK4 one will always have a special place in my heart. It is my first MK that I played a lot and at home, I was too young for MK 1-3 and only experienced when I was very young and it was always at someone's place and I did not even get to play it enough.
Nothing can beat that powerful and terrifying sound. You really feel like it is Mortal Kombat.

MK Trilogy had the best character selection ever. Just the fact that it had every ninja including Chameleon. Adding the boss characters made endless match ups. MK2 Kung Lao and Jax plus MK1 Raiden and Kano was the cherry on top. The only thing I wish they would have included was the original boss MK 1 Shang Tsung as a selectable character.

Agreed, MK3 and all its variants was the pinnacle of the MK series. Arcades were packed when MK3 came out. MK4 forward was meh at best.

MKll will always be my favorite! It's a BITCH to play the AI but my favorite as far as the dark outworld theme, soundtrack, & even the voices of the characters! I absolutely love the way they sound when they hit each other & scream! It introduced those hilarious friendships & ridiculous super cheesy babalities! It was crazy fun! All the new playable characters where bad ass! Baraka, Kitana, Mileena, Kung Lao, Reptile (my favorite Reptile look)! The pit ll was fucking awesome! Living forest & the dead pool were my favorite stages!
My personal favorite is MK3. It had a different time than the previous two but I was hooked on that franchise ever since.

Mortal Kombat 8 after Mortal Kombat 7 Mortal Kombat 9 after Mortal Kombat 8 and Mortal Kombat 10 after Mortal Kombat 9 would have been better only by Midway
Considering how much work it takes to test and debug just one character, it's understandable
Armageddon has 60+ characters, but I distinctly remember that some were just straight up clones and pallette swaps. I'd rather have 25 full fledged, unique characters, than 10 variations of the same 6 characters

I'd like to see a fusion of Mortal Kombat Armageddon, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, and Mortal Kombat 11.
Tried keeping track of any characters missed. The only one I can think of is Kratos (even though it was an exclusive), yet they included the modded Shao Khan, Goro, Kintaro, and secret Cyborg Sub-Zero. Not sure if I'm missing any. Great job covering all the characters tbh.
