Mai is also way better in 98 than in 99. so is kim

KOF is one of the few games that somehow looks worse going into the next generation. I really hate these new 3d graphics. They look cheap and they know they look cheap.

This is supposed to be a definitive look at the character’s art over the years, then you stretched the art from 4:3 to 16:9. The ngpc looks especially bad.
The costumes aren't that bad. But the voices indeed changed to worse. Specially the not japanese ones. SNK Heroines is only a cash grab based on DOA's popularity for being a fanservice fighting franchise since its beginnings. In fact, Maximum Impact was based on the original DOA's playstyle, as well as other cool old 3D fighting games, like Rival Schools. Originally, DOA wasn't just only about cute girls showing their bodies, it was a really good game after all.
