One of my favourite Prog bands. The album Red is a masterpiece to me and In the Court of the Crimson King is also brilliant. Pity that all the Bassist / Vocalists of King Crimson from 1969 - 74 have all passed away.
While I liked In The Wake of Poseidon, a lot of it was trying too hard replicate the successes of the debut album.
Well if you count just the bass players Peter Giles is still here.
Yes, the one we've been waiting for
I love how these went from “ok” or “REALLY good” to Micheal reciting abstract poetry for each record.
80s Crimson is the best for me because the prog is still there but it's mixed with pop in such a unique way
Ah, good to see the 80's ones got a good review.
But then again, to quote the band:
'Talk, Talk, It's all Talk!'
they sure did deliver the oranges
I love how much of it was explained by Micheal Rosen using food
Music is like food, there is the tasty and the not-so-tasty
Underrated band
This is a story about how an extremely buff British guy and his blond vampire nemesis brought me down a crippling 70's progressive rock addiction.
I love these videos. Love the Wetton era KC!
In my opinion, the first six KC albums are a case of “one step forward one step backward”, then everything from Red to Three of a Perfect Pair is a gold streak. THRAK and Construcktion of Light don’t really do it for me, but thankfully it all ends on a respectable note with the final album.
So great! Well worth the wait. Sidenote: if you do the Residents you should have the "riddle diddle" response for every album
can we get a playlist of all the prog reviews Michael has done?
Currently making that. I’ll make playlists for other bands that are in the genres
This channel needs more views
The description of beat is remarkably precise
This one's one of the best alongside Static X and Weezer. Far be it from me, but...would you consider one for KARP or the Melvins?
Its a shame a lot of people dont listen to crimson other than court, sure the stuff after isnt for everybody but the albums they released from 1973-74 are to die for imo, larks is my favorite kc album and starless is my favorite kc song.
Red is also a lovely album
Larks tongues and red are such banger. Cigarette, ice cream~
What about Dinosaurs
Idk why this is in my recommendations but i love it anyways
can u do dance gavin dance, thank u for styx btw
Personally I dont mind islands lack of oranges. Raisins instead, is alright with me.
Request: Mr Boombastic by Shaggy but every other beat is missing (either version of it)
No love for Islands? 😞
Islands is in my 4th favourite album of theirs, behind court, red and larks. Its Definitely better than Discipline.
Do a Rick Wakeman reaction by michael
IS THAT A JOJO REFENCE!!!!!!!!!
Stop
Now I wish I wasn't alive anymore....
Really..
Haha
Blo ell
Hello this is great video but the The Construkction Of Light enthusiast in me is very biased so uh 0/10 video /uj great video
To be fair it’s not a bad album, at their worst King Crimson were just decent and tolerable. It’s definitely their weakest album, but FAR from bad.
@@ElliYeetYT Yeah that’s fair. I just really love how weird it is. It’s all opinions anyways so cheers.
