I think, if soil is going to go straight into a terracotta pot that has been decorated this way, or just painted with chalk paint, it is necessary to seal the inside of the point with a lacquer or varnish to stop water leaching through the terracotta and damaging the paint/paper.

Very lovely but you need to seal the inside of the pot because when i did this before i knew to seal it all the paint on the outside started to bubble up and peel off

Yes, you can do that! I would suggest to spray paint the coat before you apply napkins to seal it.
whats the sealer? and with the pattern how does it not come of if water drips down
What size if your terracotta pot please ?
Lovely . Will this be weatherproof for the garden ?
It's around 10 inch height. Unfortunately, I don't think this will be weather proof, primarily because of the moisture.
What do you do to make sure you get rid of the bubbles or wrinkles?

Hello there! I like wrinkle effect and is not concerned by it. I did not have a lot of bubbles. I think it depends how you spread the napkin. Use different bushes to find which one works best for you. Good luck 😃
Many decoupage enthusiasts place heavy duty cling film (Saran wrap) over the napkin and gently press and smooth the napkin to minimize or even eliminate wrinkles.

Very pretty flower pot, turned out great, but the video is too fast. I would have so much better if it was slower.
If you go into the settings for the video you can change the playback speed. Change it to 0.5 and it slows down to normal speed. Since there is no talking it won't affect speech. Just turn down the sound. Hope this helps.
What do you use to seal the pot?
Any sealer will work: spray paint, clay pot sealer, gloss Mod Podge

Hello and thanks! You can our Hase them online, in craft stores or use regular napkins with designs.
Can you do this on a plastic pot?
Yes you can, but I would sand it first to make sure the adhesion is perfect. :)

Hello! Thanks for the comment! You can use regular paper napkins that have the design printed on them. You can also buy specific decoupage napkins in the craft stores. But regular napkins will also work.

You don't seal your pots before painting?
I did not seal them, but I can say that sealing is a very good idea.
How does this hold up outside?
Ideally, you need to seal the pot before the decoupage.and once the design is done, It is better to cover it from rain.
Is this sticky back paper?
It is not sticky. It is regular paper napkin that is split into 3 layers and only layer with picture is used.
If you use outdoor mod o pudge wouldn’t that be better for the water 🤷♀️

You can slow down by clicking on the setting icon on the video- playback speed- select the speed you prefer :)
