    Superb, Me and my wife set off from Turin on the second leg of are honeymoon. With the goal of tackling the TNR, however snow on the higher cols stopped us in are tracks so we hopped on and off TNR and the routes des grande alpes. Was incredible and would love to get back and do the missing bits of TNR.

    @Joshibbett when you start your ride x amount of km from where you finish how do you go about then getting your bike box from the start to the end please? Am doing Budapest to Istanbul next year and trying to figure out the logistics of transporting bike to the start and back home to the UK from the finish. Wondering how you experts do it. Thanks.

    • @joshibbett
      @joshibbett  2 месяца назад +1

      If I’m doing a point to point ride I use a cardboard bike box and despose of it at the airport. Then at my destination ask at local bike shops for another box. They usually have plenty which are left over from new bike builds

    • @JamesOlsen-s2g
      @JamesOlsen-s2g 3 месяца назад

      It's off-route .. the way to go to avoid it is the Cannoni road or the SP335.

    • @gadsgsadgsadg4668
      @gadsgsadgsadg4668 3 месяца назад

      @@JamesOlsen-s2g Was it the Cannoni road that's blocked in 06:04? I rode that partly hard-going (your words) descend in TNR 2018 with a cyclocross bike. One to remember...

      @JamesOlsen-s2g 3 месяца назад

      @@gadsgsadgsadg4668I think so yes, Cannoni was blocked for repairs during the summer. Cannoni is now open afaik and has been resurfaced in places

    • @JRmntain
      @JRmntain 3 месяца назад

      I might be wrong but might be the ‘death road’ which is now off the official* TNR route. *offical in the loosest of definitions you have lot of options to adjust and enjoy.

    Looked beautiful, would love to do it in summertime, but not as a race! Did you find the tent a lot more comfy than the bivvy? And how much extra weight does it add? Being half pint sized I have to travel very light.
    That rock climb looked scary. True bike packer savvy tho', taking your bags up seperately😄
