I recently picked up a preschool age Merida, her hair is a wreck! I got the tangles out but the ends look horrible. I sectioned off where I got it combed out so I guess I'm ready to roll.. her hair. Does the water you dunk her hair in need to be boiling, and does it "cure" the horrible looking ends or should I trim them off?
Thank you SO much! I just can't bare to see good dolls being thrown away when they can easily be made beautiful again. So much play value left in them.
@@RosiesWorld123 I did detangle her hair, and she already looks better. Her hair is super puffy though. I really just want to run my flat iron through her hair tbh. My flat iron has different temperature settings, so I found the perfect setting for the dolls. I save a Wonder Woman doll from the trash with my flat iron. I went through my sister's whole barbie collection ( probably like 30 dolls) and did them a makeover. I bought Barbie clothes from Amazon cause I don't know a thing about sewing, and did shoes out of tacky glue to her flat feet dolls. You know how hard it is to find flat Barbie shoes? The shoes stay on permanently, maybe not convenient for many, but for my sister is exactly what she needs because she is always losing her Barbie's shoes. Her dolls looks like runway models now😄🤭
Would spray detangler work the same as the fabric softener? I got my daughter the Merida doll from the Wreck it Ralph comfy squad collection, and her hair was a hot mess right out of the box.
Yes detangler will work too. But that's usually more expensive than fabric softener. And you might end up using a lot. If the hair is a poor quality... it'll be really difficult to repair. Good luck

It worked on my little sister's curly hair doll. Now I hope it works on her Moana doll too.
Glad we could help. The Moana doll is made by Hasbro... their dolls have poor quality hair. Don't expect the same results.
