    As a diehard fan of the WWS 4964 and Pacific P512PF, the C500 has instantly become my new main truck - it perfectly fits that “old school Americana heavy hauler” vibe and gameplay style and is extremely powerful without feeling overpowered, 11/10 truck - sure it could use a couple small buffs maybe (tire size, unique engine?) but even without those I am loving it

    I've been playing with these new Kenny's all weekend on the Austria maps,. I LOVE THEM.
    They replaced two kind-of OP trucks I was using, and both have excelled well.
    If you take the T880's limitations into mind in your routes, and make sure you don't bury it by going low and slow and watching like Nathan said, you'll be impressed by how easy it'll get you places.
    The C500 is the exact truck I've always wanted in Snowrunner - it's perfect! You can do what feels like anything with it, just watch for your nose, really. I'm so glad this DLC was released, it's made me better at this game!

    Drove both today. In a few words: impressed by the C500, disappointed by the T880.
    I think of the C500 as an improved Paystar 5070, without all the handicaps the devs put on the International. It has 1 inch larger OHD wheels, more power, a snorkel, a roof rack with a bigger tank... dream stuff!

    Thanks for another great review Nathan, was waiting for it.
    The T880 needs the W990 coding for the tires, they know it, but once again out of their usual dumbness didn't do it.

    • @paladin_magnus
      @paladin_magnus Месяц назад

      I feel like if they do add that coding something will have to get slightly nerfed, with that engine power and ground clearance it could very easily become massively OP with either better tires or AWD

    • @Danko05
      @Danko05 Месяц назад +1

      @paladin_magnus lack of AWD and small tire size will be enough to not be op

    Ich schreibe es auf deutsch, weil ich dann nur einen Bruchteil der Zeit brauche .. :D
    Ich habe das Dual Pack nur für den C500 gekauft und den T880 direkt verkauft. Ich verzichte nur ungern auf Allrad - und falls ich das tun möchte, steht der W990 bereit.
    Der C500 hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Ja, 50 Zoll Räder wären von Vorteil. Aber Reichweite und Stabilität überzeugen. Zur Verbrauchssenkung nutze ich zur Zeit den zweitstärksten Motor und bisher reicht der auch. Und der C500 klingt sehr gut. Von daher ist er ein gutes Arbeitspferd unterhalb der Offroad-Klasse.

Actually I can`t use them in a reliable way while perusing Kola (Tire Size is. King), but in Yukon they will do a great Job imho. Roll the Tape :)

    I just started using these trucks. The 880 will be a fine highway/light off-road truck, and seems to power through well. The C500 was a beast. Using it for medium logs it was incredibly stable whereas the HX520 felt overly tippy. Even without the top engine, the C500 had plenty of power for logging.

    I Really like the C500, but is struggling a bit with the C880. I feel like I'm driving on ice even on tarmac roads. Could be because I play with mouse and keyboard, so I can't feather the throttle. But I'm not giving up on it yet. Also, we have been asking for new trucks that isn't overpowered heavies, and these 2 fit that bill. I'm going to keep testing them in Amur. C500 made it NAI, where you pick up the rocket trailer. C880, hasn't made it to NAI yet. Gets stuck at the village in the east of Urska river. Anyway, thanks for another great video.

    My only issue, and this goes for a lot of new vehicles, is that we no longer have the option to put the base game bumpers on them, sure the custom ones are cool but only having a few options feels so limiting. Particularly when you don't like any of the options

  • @AtomizerX
    @AtomizerX Месяц назад +1

    I noticed on the T880, specifically with the long bed, that it gets a second hitch at the end of it, which facilitates full trailer compatibility and is a nice touch. On the other hand, loading it with cargo puts the weight distribution far back and is enough to lift weight off the front axle, which is alarming. I only had 3x consumables on it and noticed when packing the cargo that that was enough to see-saw the whole truck.

    Cool review as always. I’ll pick up the pack up this weekend. Haven’t played the game in a while. But I am really looking forward to season 15 and driving in snow again. Also can’t wait to see your review of the MOL TB800. That looks like a beast.
    I recently started playing American Truck Simulator and ETS2. I enjoy the European trucks a little more and driving in Europe is different, for the better, especially with all the roundabouts. Both games have a ton of DLC which is usually are heavily discounted on Steam sales.

    I'm sorry if you said so in the video, but did you test the T880 with the weaker engine ?

    • @sertec6071
      @sertec6071 Месяц назад +3

      it definatly needs something, i really don't get people saying it's best in class when all the other heavy duty trucks are more capable off road in rough conditions and will run circles around the c500 and without taking alot of enigine damage in the process.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Месяц назад +2

      So I've tested this against trucks in its class. Its definitely the best of them IMHO. Its ground clearance is its main issue due to not being blessed like the T880 in that area. Im super bullish on the WWS, CT681, & HX520, but this truck has done a terrific job

    • @Rage_Spammer
      @Rage_Spammer Месяц назад +1

      @@sertec6071 Best in a class that is behind most of the RU offroad trucks. I think people just focus on how these perform against other US trucks and leave out the RU trucks. Its my belief that the C500 should've been a US counterpart to the Taygas.

    • @sertec6071
      @sertec6071 Месяц назад

      @@Rage_Spammer I was only considering the US heavy duty trucks in my comment. in my testing i feel the c500 needs a raised suspension as it hits its front end and get high centered in alot of areas. as the terrain starts to get rocky or deep ruts forget the c500. every single other US heavy duty truck will have an easier time in rougher terrain. i had the hx520 get through areas with no damage that completely stopped the c500 in its tracks.

    • @LucYGaming_
      @LucYGaming_ Месяц назад

      @@NProvince dont get me wrong, i also think its the best one, but i find it stupid that it gets high center with 2 boulders. A little extra heigth would solve that but not make it OP.

  • @phalanyx3478
    @phalanyx3478 Месяц назад +1

    C500 looks pretty awesome, a DLC I will buy. I wish the T880 had an AWD option. They tried to buff it with always on diff lock but always on diff lock on a fast and snappy truck w/o awd is a recipe for disaster on roads. Theres no power to the front wheels to pull the truck in a straight line and the rear axles are fighting eachother without the diffs off.

  • @Rage_Spammer
    @Rage_Spammer Месяц назад +1

    12:12 really shows another downside which is the C500 bad tandem suspension. It has no diagonal articulation. You can see the right wheel lift up off the ground with the left wheel. It is probably what led you flipping over when you hit that rock earlier in the vid.
    I'm gonna wait and see what Saber does with this pack. The C500's collision model reminds me of the Mack at release. Also the placement of the medium logging frame is absolutely criminal.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Месяц назад

      This was shown, but not broken down fully on Downside #2 as you see the suspension didnt absorb the rock, but sent the energy throughout the vehicle quickly resulting in a flip

    The problem with the rear axles is one that will never be solved. The rear axles have no diagonal articulation. Fixing this takes time and the developers don't seem to have the time. I am planning on giving one of the t880's AWD, BUT I'm limiting the engines to just the stock one only. Stiffer suspension (also lower the raised a bit), 49-50" tires and AWD with 250k is gonna be far OP enough for anything in the game.

    Id like to see the t880 get awd and give it an average engine. To me the w990 cannot do basic things due to the lack of awd and i dont want a truck that is useless to me.
    Also, i didnt see a breakdown of the scores at the end of the video!

    As cool as it would've been to see the T880's flatbed actually be usable as a rollback towbed, the game's physics just don't seem to like it. There are a handful of mods that add alternate tow platforms capable of packing cargo and they're all prone to glitching and sending the vehicle flying, so it looks like Saber was just playing it safe which was probably the best option.

    The new DLC trucks are getting into ranges of silly overpowered, I was trying that AAC scout recently after coming back after a long break and I cannot tip the thing over at all, it's just glued to the ground. I spent my first 80 hours with snowrunner without any DLC and remember doing some very hard (and rewarding) missions with the Voron D which is a great truck but kinda tippy.

    I have a hard time understanding people celebrating nerfed trucks, lacking awd options and such, if you don't like awd just go in the garage and remove it, you don't like powerful engine, go in the garage and downgrade to the lowest tier one, the T880 is useless nobody is going to play it except a couple streamers that need to make content, give people the choice to play the game as they like, make options available

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Месяц назад +5

      I dont believe I celebrated that in the video..I think what needs to be said is they are a structured license vehicle and Saber abides by those to a degree we do not know. Giving AWD to a vehicle with a non existent frame model and the largest engine in the game essentially makes every truck irrelevant. So where do you draw the line on truck balance? Saber does consider these things from which I've come to understand from talking with one employee. This is why I did say I think this will get a buff to its tires. I received these same comments when the W990 released and then after they upgraded its tires folks enjoyed it for what it was. Not every vehicle released needs to be the next "best in class" despite stand alone dlc .. Those are just my humble opinions.
