- NILES-SIMMONS realized the Turnkey Crankshaft Production Line in Beijing for the chinese Joint Venture of DAIMLER and Beijing Benz Automotive Corp. (BBAC).
The Turnkey Line produces around 250.000 crankshafts per year for the C- and E-Class Mercedes built in China. Sooner or later, China will acquire this modern technology (either partnership or pirating the technology). Already a highly industrialized country but not at par with Germany or Japan in terms of technological advancement.
Acquire and surpass most countries including the U.S. and Germany. Do not under estimate the level of education now being taught in Chinese Universities. They are graduating 2 million Masters and PhD students annually. It's a matter of time before they are world leaders in STEM fields.
@Juden Arier I disagree on a number of points. China has been innovating and moving forward with new ideas. Each year, China files over 300,000 WIPO compliant patent applications.
I have a great deal of experience and interaction with China's top 25 University's. I was very impressed (across the board) with the faculty and staff.
Are they perfect? Of course not. Even so, over the last decade, many changes have been instituted with good results.
