Papi taking Do The Dew to the extreme! I worked 3rd shift for over 20 years and practically main-lined Mountain Dew. I loved the caffeine-free Dew when it was introduced, bought quite a few 12pk to eliminate some caffeine. Really miss that one. The convenience store on the corner sells the Faygo Moon Mist. So-So, just really cheap (or was) if I didn't want to walk down to Walmart. Vaut was almost dead-on to Surge. I bought Surge a few times when it came out and bought the Vault and had to double-check the label to see if it mentioned Surge anywhere. It was that close. Well done Papi. That's a lot of soda. I feel caffeine jitters just watching😁😁😁😁
It makes complete sense to me now that Surge was a mtn dew competitor, but I never saw it that way. I don't like mtn dew at all (don't hate me lol) but loved surge back in the day, it was so much more green I guess my kid brain was too dumb to draw the correlation and it doesn't taste like mtn dew from my memory, surge was like sprite but it tasted more green which i know doesn't make much sense. Lol anyway, my memory has been wrong before. This was highly amusing, we do most of our shopping at Lidl, my mom has tried all their soda and said they're all garbage so that made me laugh!
I love MTN ZERO! It has more of a metallic taste. Anyway, the best way to do a drink blind test is drink out of a thin straw. The thin straw accents the flavor.
Mello Yello hits harder than the others... more 'fizzy'- it's my favorite of all of those... it's a Coke product but harder to find.. Dollar General usually carries it.. also Burger King usually carries it too.
Great variety Papi...Sun Drop also has orange juice concentrate I believe. Faygo Moon Mist is decent doesn't tell the amount of caffeine and no orange juice concentrate which is why it's just decent...for $.
Excuse me sir. Surge was absolutely not a "failed competitor", lol. And I won't cancel you. Mountain Dew is my go-to drink these days, but Surge is my favorite soda of all time.
For no joke surge is my #1 mtn dew knockoff drink. I kind of get a little bit more energy on it and it also helps me stay awake for like 2 or 3 extra hours. Ik it doesn't makes sense but that's what my body does.

I thought Surge was gone. I've only had it a handful of times but it's definitely one of my favorite citrus/ lemon-lime sodas.
It is, you can only get it in select Burger King Coke Freestyle machines or the Norwegian version Urge I have here that never got discontinued.
