Loving the content! At about 60, 90 ish theres a waterfall with an actual cave behind it, and has 2 other exits and well lit like you prefer. My kids and I will be turning it into a bat cave. Finally going to build tek structures, usually stick to stone and wood
I just tamed a Ferox last night using this same method! So much less stressful than on Genesis 1. I definitely didn’t expect to see them on Genesis 2, but I’m glad they’re on this map.
How do you tame the ferox?

If Gen 1 missions where more like Gen 2, i would have enjoyed Gen 1 a lot more. This DLC so far is rather amazing, bit heavy on the loot side, but i don't even see that as a negative either. Enjoy the journey, not just the destination 😉
im glad they fixed the unlimited tek transmitter on stryders i cant imagine how broken that was on official tho i kind of took advantage of it in my single player

Interesting taming method for the Ferox, and looks way easier than taming them in Gen 1. I’m curious though, was netting them while waiting for them to shrink purely so they don’t glitch out of the trap?
Also, little fun fact: someone pays homage to you in NeddyTheNoodle’s Helena Walkers Dossiers- Medium (II)… towards the end of the video. Unless you collaborated and weren’t listed as one of the body actors.
Uhh Phlinger you don’t need a diplocaulus because you can use your tek helmet
Net gun makes yutty and quetz taming so much easier. Only time I’ve ever got head shots on a quetz. Love your videos man.

Coffee Talk: Tek suit, netgun, stryder...no longer any need for surviving, building, and taming dinos that each had a specific job that is no longer needed. Even the boss battles are no longer necessary to farm element and therefore not a real need for cave diving for artifacts. All of the challenges and hard work for a satisfying payoff seem to be gone. It has turned into an addict chasing (mega) drops that also reduce the need to grind materials to build all of your industrial needs with nothing else but some missions to grind. I do believe a tek suit is necessary to navigate this huge map (which is beautiful), but I think what has been provided has effectively changed the entire game, and I 'm not sure it is for the better. Thoughts? Opinions? Talk amongst yourselves:

Ive been watching this series to learn how to play, having bought Ark about 2 weeks ago, and i gotta say im enjoying it, but then all of a sudden this series turned into something else, and i find myself thinking, why the hell am i bothering grinding out the island, making bases, taming pets - as you say that fill specific niches - and doing all that survivor stuff, when it seems all i had to do was start my first character on Gen2 and then go faceroll the previous maps
Literally days before me and some friends were going to setup a paid server, and yeha i get it we can still play through it the "proper" way, and we probably will, but this has really taken the wind outta my sails
Feel like i just bought a lemon

Question how are you able to use the tek now if it’s lvl 116 to use ? Was trying to use mine that I got and I can’t use it until 116 lvl

Phlinger, use your Tek pants to walk when you are encumbered.
That Ferox tame was a total waste of nets; you can just stand on the top of the gate and it cant reach you, and costs nothing.

stryder transmitters act like tek transmitters but you can't upload creatures
I tamed a ferox lastnight and the dupe glitch still works with them.
What’s the dupe glitch?
@@Belladonna_RX stand up against it while it changes hit box forces it through the map making the game spawn a clone with the same % then the hulking one will chill and pop back up now you have two at same % it’s not every time and make sure you are on flat ground

Why would you need a diplocaulus when you have infinite air with the tec helmet?
Maewings are also great swimmers with no oxygen, but I love to have a special dino for a special purpose
I don’t think the federation tek armor gives infinite air, or at least mine doesn’t seem to. Feel free to try yours out and prove me wrong though.

Yea but not as crazy as u think if u haven’t played in a while cuz the “robots” that can harvest are unusable in most situations and can’t be cryod. Need to upload them to transmitters to travel them around the map
