Thanks so much. Surprised you have the only video like these. Just fixed my Mando HT. I was worried, it was really in there but heat gun and drill worked great🤟🤟
Good tips! Thanks for sharing! Just last week I fixed a broken peg in my Hot Toys Barney Ross figure. It's fixed but not without some minor damage. I think your tips are a better solution.
I use a small flat head screw driver and hot water. The water makes the rubber soft and then you can use the tiny screw driver to actually pull the old broken plug out. Alleviates the risk of puncturing the palm side of the hand if you over drill.
I've never used the hot water method. Too much prep. But I know that it works very well for many people, so, yeah. That's a solid call for those who might be leery of the heat gun. (Which is a reasonable fear to have.)
Question the barrel to the AK-47 to the Knightmare Batman broke off, I was wondering if you could give any advice how to repair it. I’m concerned I won’t be able to glue it straight with such a tiny diameter.
Well, I guess unfortunately your video is too late for me: I broke a peg into a hand of a stormtrooper porcelain pattern three weeks ago, haha. Your technic is better than mine I think. I popped out the plastic armour on the top of the hand and then sliced a little bit into the plastic starting from the peg hole. I then pushed out the broken peg and glued back everything. The cool thing is that the plastic armour is by design glued into a square hole on the top of the hand, so once everything is glued back, no sign at all of the intervention ;) Thanks for this much cleaner technic!
I'll be adding one of those pin vice tools to my kit in case I ever run into this situation. Thank you for that "fair bit" of information Terry! Yep, had to say it. lol
Depends on how soft the plastic is. If it’s a harder plastic, you can use the Same concept, only use a hair dryer with a “cold” option. Heat the hand with the hair dryer while bending the finger in. Then hit it with a cold shot while holding it in position. This may not work. But it’s worth a try.
(Seriously, though, I see no reason why the same method wouldn't work. You do run the risk of having a part of the peg rattling around loose in the arm. But you could always split the forearm at the seam, remove that bit, and then mend the arm with superglue.)
I always heat up the hands before swapping if they don't come off with little effort. Haven't broke any hottoys pegs yet, but Mezco one:12 on the other hand, those female wrist pegs are made of paper👌
@@johnnya1435 Pliers. The big ball of the joint is still protruding from the wrist, so it’s easy to do. If your led has broken in a way that leaves the leg in the wrist, just do the same thing I’ve done here, only drill into the part that’s stuck in the wrist. Hope that helps.

I really love your vids but I’m from Taiwan, and there is nearly no one at my age that would by a hot toys figure so really happy that there is someone that can help me posing figures Also I’m only 15...so yeah my point is thanks for posting these videos it’s really cool .
Yeah, the wrist peg to my Mass Effect Commander Shepard figure broke on me. I ordered some black wrist pegs from a Hot Toys TDKR Batman. Fingers crossed they fit. The pegs look pretty similar but not exact.
@@maxkernfeld7928 yeah I learned they are definitely not compatible. It looked like it was gonna work! But Hot Toys pegs are a smidge too big and not quite long enough.

This actually happened with my Commander Wolfe and I had no idea what to do so thank you so much!

The only hands it does not work on is those super hard plastic ones that come with some of the cheaper knock off bodies.

Terry Smith yeah you can use a heat gun and screw driver as well

I actually have that same issue with mine! I’m workshopping a solution for it. Promise that I’ll do a video when I’ve figured it out.

Hey do you have any advice on fixing a hand with a heat gun to make a tighter grip ??

Could you do a video on how you do your lightsaber effects? I'm a very base level photographer so I'm just ready to learn as much as I can.
Super useful, Terry. Thanks!
broooo u a god
What would I use to remove the peg if it’s stuck on the forearm?
Dynamite.

I have the Hot Toys Justice League Batman. The stand is a clamp style and has put indentation marks on his suit. How do I fix this?
Love this trooper. Still waiting on mine to arrive from Popcultcha
It's a good one. I knew I'd dig it, but not to this extent. Video coming soon...
Terry are you planning on getting the 6th scale boba fett mythos figure?
I would definitely like to. I'll have to weigh some financial commitments first.
Nice beard! It suits you
Ha! Thanks! I grew tired of shaving.
Also building up to my Deathstroke cosplay.

I think it's unlikely.

Does anyone know if Hot Toys wrist pegs are compatible with ThreeZero figures?
That’s a very good question.
