    Ather should focus on expanding their showrooms to Gujarat and North as I seen, other EVs are coming in our city and people choose first come first serve, By the way Podcast is great as usual. Kudos to both of you.

    one of the most important questions the media is not asking is what about right to repair situation will be, will they allow 3rd party co to repair? will they provide repair syntax? and connected tech also has an evil side, the subs, remote monitoring by the co, serial no lock already we are seeing that co hates when customers own something for a lifetime (like they revoke perpetual license of somethings )

      Honda is struggling to compete in EV againt tesla byd tata etc
      They dont have reliable evs and by the time they develop one,market will be saturated

      My Ather 450xHR is just 1month old.I noticed panel gaps under the handle bar panel, chipped/rough edges and unfinished mirrors. Even the panels next to headlights have panel gaps.These issues are not there in previous generation vehicles.Even SC agreed these are manufacturing defects.SC team tried to adjust panel gaps but unsuccessful. Panel gaps increase with time After spending 1.8lakhs i get this type of fit and finish. Really unhappy

    One correction I'd like to point out at 4:47 is that ICEs don't work on carnot cycle. Carnot is the most ideal a thermodynamic cycle can get. Petrol based ICEs work on Otto Cycle while diesel based ICEs work on Diesel Cycle.

    i own both activa and ola but have not ridden much of activa since buying the ola.No going back to ice after riding an ev for a few months.Will replace my activa with rizta.

      its good till OLA working fine once it showing issue i sure u will back to your activa like me. As the services are very poor. Now whoever asking me i suggest them go for petrol one

    i think what ather needs is a scooter with 3 kwh 4kwh max speed 80kmph no maps and all simple clean dashboard with a semi digital instrument cluster which supports ather grid and decent speed of charging at 1lakh near about on road price on all states

    Its not the just the awareness but your availability as well, there are not a lot of showrooms of ather in northen states which is why they aren't getting any good response from that section of our country

    Bande me hai dum. Delighted to hear from two favourites from jaipur. I'm a delhi guy, have a actica for 12 years and access for 7 years. Went for ascooter hunt last week for sister. Wanted a low seated scooter. Test ride taken for fascino, dio and ather. Fascino and dio were majorly underwhelming compare dto my access. The sales reps were not that enthusiastic as well.
    But ather, it's something else. The warp mode is ballistic. The sport mode of 450s was as good as my access. 139000 on road with 15k subsity. 125k for 450s looks almost good. The sales rep were a delight to talk with. If only I can get my hands on an offer/subsidy which brings the price down further, it's a done deal for me. Also Tarun seems a real bright chap. His gujrati business accument and concepts are clear. Is ghode pe paisa jaroor lagayega apun.

    2 years + on road and you will know you are in soop with EV scooter in India.
    All that so called savings will be spent on repairs or battery and charger -- highly unreliable.
    It is taking more than 3 months to fix issues on my scooter for this brand.

    Near Non existent infrastructure for EVs and no ev brand considering tier-3 cities for service and reach but still positive attitude towards ending ice scooter dominance by 2030 😂....OG splendor and OG Activa wouldn't have been called OG if their target was only big cities.

    Awareness Awareness Awareness. Tackling mis-information & FUD(Fear, Uncertainty, Disruption) from social media is the biggest stumbling block towards electrification and de-carbonization. The goal of Net zero can only and only be achieved through BEV.

    Mr.Tarun is far more mature. I am definitely putting Rizta as my first option before buying any E Scooter. Also this will be my first E vehicle in family.
    Great podcast.
    Just fix a day on a big ground with customers and demo all functions features there. Use well known customers as volunteers.

    I went to buy ather scooter yesterday and Ather has closed its only showroom in Industrial Area, Chandigarh. If EVs are so good, why did ather close its showroom?

    Even in the comment section, people are so negative in terms of the reception of EV as a solution. Aur ye woi log hain jinhone kabhi bhi EV na own kia hai na test drive li hai. People need to come out of their bubble and see for themselves that the EV space is not in nascent stage right now. It has significantly matured in last 2-3 years.

      Ev is costly. Ev has low range. No skilled 3rd party to repair for cheap. Ev's are highly explosive compared to ICE. Evs are very unreliable. EVs have high carbon footprint hence bad for environment.
      Evs are scam.

    I have ather 450 x
    It’s 1.5 years old
    And I driven it over 30,000 km
    But only serviced it one time😂
    Is it ok or i need to service it every 6 months as ather says??

    *We can never understand .. why Ather don't sell a variant of scooters without touchscreen & subscription* ... AKA "Dumb scooter" ... The price difference between a dumb and smart scooter is at least 35,000/-
    The more tech enabled the scooter the more problems it creates... and needs company trained technicians... But that is where they will MAKE MONEY FROM ... Service - Maintenance...
    *THAT ... DEALERSHIP MODEL... IS NOT SUSTAINABLE IN EVS*

    Okay..one of the context question.... Which brand is that table over which you guys are having this conversation? It looks like its height can be adjusted electronically. I want the same table for my office too. The one that I have shortlisted costs exorbitantly high. So I was looking for the cheaper options. Is that table under a lakh?

    North ki sirf ek problem hai ki koi bhi ev company fast charging nhi deti. Sare fast charging station ya toh metro city mai hai ya south mai.

    I think ev ka sirf ek fayda hai, running cost kum hai but agar pricing aur resale ko consider kare to vo bhi balance out ho jayega isliye filhal to ice hi better hai, EVs me kuch bhi easy nahi hai aapko roj charging par lagane ka hassel rakhna padega, charging infra bhi nahi hai, price bhi jyada hai resale bhi zero hai, reliability bhi nahi hai to aise me ice hi sabse badhiya option hai

    Tarun sir answer on green energy is answer to Gagan concern which he raised in another video on EV that electricity used by coal as peoduct is not green by EV .
    And one lame excuse of minerals used in battery are more exploiting that areas .

      The reason I love this brand over others is because they have a clear vision. And a brand that has the right vision will never produce wrong products unlike ola which seems to push half baked products just to increase sales figures.

    Ev is a scam, iam using two ather 450x gen2 and gen3, after 30000 km the gen2 ather is giving only 50km in eco, so basically company disables the faulty cell section of battery by ota update and customer never knows the battery is faulty, just like the phone companies do by slowing the phone performance by ota update.

    There is no doubt that Ather is doing well in 2 Wheeler EV segment but, the word premium hurts a lot, because Mass customer are give way more volume then the premium customers. So I feel that if Ather can do a quality product for the Mass at the price of Activa ..............then the target of EV market share of 2030, they will achieve it as early as possible.......

    At 5:19 he starts talking about Stirling engines, which are quite common, but they only have very niche applications. It’s very inefficient, just 10%, contrary to what he is claiming. I don’t understand why he is lying about it. The technology has been around since 1800s lol.

    Very important point : EVs are costly even after so much govt. subsidy. ICE running cost is high due to huge taxes on petrol .
    when government starts taxing huge on electricity then 2.5 Rs /km debate will not be there

    In my opinion EVs are the future.....but EVs in current form EVs are miles away from that future.... for eg: we need good charging infrastructure, then we should consider EV batteries how will we replace EV batteries after 5 years or so ICE vehicles work well for minmum of 10 years but if we have to replace EVs every 5 years that is not possible for a regular customer if someone says changing the battery is a solution then in my opinion justifies a person from spending 40-60% of vehicle cost every 5 yers or so. Also in my opinion we need to have same charging standards for all kind of EVs. In my opinion EV manufacturers should come up with some kind of subscription model for batteries in the sense they own the battery and we pay a rent for it...and a common man owns the scooter....which can make electric scooters cheaper than their ICE counterparts. Also in my opinion LCD touch screen are prone to being damaged so in my opinion we just need a digtal or analogue speedometers as other ice vehicles.... Also depending much in software for running a vehicle is not good. An Ev should just be like normal ICE vehicles that do not rely much on software ...EVs are much more prone to software disruptiona unlike their ICE counterparts.

    In mountains, it's not possible to use ev specially two wheeler because a two wheeler with 100km practical range on climb will give like 20-30km range which will make it unusable.

    Ergonomic is not the same compared to Activa/Honda's vast experience..please work on that front, also probably tie up with Hero/Honda and bring up a robust and reliable Hybrid drive-train

    We want more range in Ather Ev scooter. Currently Ather provides 90 to 110 killo meter true rang. Which is not less range in Ather scooter. We want 200+ Killo meter range Ather 450x & Ather Rizta. scooter.

    I would never buy ather like scooters for daily usage which is costly & costly to maintain, with a whining noise with two belts(two more parts for failure if not properly looked after. Prefer chain drive or hub motor). A lot of useless tech features which is good for youngsters.

    Not to get offend but asking an EV manufacturer that why is EV good is quite obvious. In India 2 wheelers are not just for city rides , people travel across country using it. ICE gives that flexibility to go anywhere any time. In north steep mountains are there as well EV wont viable for those inclined terrains.
    Hybrid makes more sense , fuel cost is one aspect . Actually we should look for more kilometer’s in less fuel . Hybrid have most average out of all options.

      Also, in hills, ICE loses efficiency due to thinner air, EV doesn’t have that issue. Much more performance also, no lag no slowdown instant torque

    True, the scooters is used for small hops within the city. Could be a series of small hops. And an e scooter with a true range of about 200kms will kill the ice engined scooters. It’s about time. But cars are a long way off.

    Ev in two wheelers is fail.. very specific use cases it will work until battery swapping is everywhere…it’s useful only for those with 60-70km daily driving..too low and it’s not use and too high and it’s no use

    They want to sale EV as a city 2wheeler and cannot make infra in tier2 and tier3 cities as EVs dsnt benefit there. And also they want to sale it on premium which they cannot justify in tier2,3 cities and no after sales service. Its issue with the companies they want to earn profits with no ownership and no expansion. People have money but you couldnt make an impact as a brand, marketing, good product and after sales, you are lagging everywhere with Ather.

    No... ICE scooters will still be there another 10-15 years easily. And then Hybrid ones. All electric vehicles need the infrastructure which will take atleast 30-40 years.

    Ather engineering and tech is best but look and filling is not as gorgeous voluptuous like icube and Activa, it is fency but very light and no big seat and very small and light for family use

    8:04 In India, YObykes launched their electric two-wheelers in 2006. Taking about cars, Mahindra brought Reva as early as 2001 in India. Although Ather today is doing marvelous innovations, why are these guys more or less portraying Ather as the pioneer of EV in India?

    Ev kahi se convenient nahi hai, infrastructure hai nahi aur aur jo kah rahe environment friendly wo sabse bade gadhe hai.. electricity aa kaha se raha wo pata hi nahi inko... Charge khatam huwa to leke baitho😂😂... Ab kuch log kahenge plan kar lo pahle.. kyu bhai itna bhi kyu plan karna jab petrol conveniently available hai har jagah.. ab isne kaha tha ek video me aga apka wajan kam hai to low battery me jyada mileage dega.. matlab kya hai ye bhai😂😂😂

    Is there any practical charging solution for those who do not have a covered parking space ? For example, in Mumbai we have at lease four months of heavy rains and in many housing societies two wheelers are parked in an open space. In that case what can help a person who is interested in buying an electric scooter ?

    Ev is good for city's I prefer personally, for long ride heavy use ev is nowhere near ice
