I'm using your preset 2 and it's only about 50hz lower than my GPU was boosting to on stock settings while running 8-15c cooler & my power usage under load went from like 212w to roughly 160w... almost a 25% decrease in power usage!! Even my Hotspot temp dropped a decent amount :) Thanks a bunch for this, dunno if you'll see this since 4 month old video but wanted to let you know its still helping peeps! Hey, I just got this GPU and I’m about to undervolt it. How has the undervolt held up and what’s your boost score? I have an Asus 4070 super dual OC Evo. I’m not sure what the differences between the evo and non-evo.
@@kkmcgamerI also have Asus 4070 Super Dual Evo and it's the worst card I ever had. Hot, loud, only 2670mhz boosting... The case is Lian li lancool 216 with bottom and external fans mounted. The airflow is no problem at all.
@@Prorayque it’s such a garbage cooler, i thought it was the same like the regular dual but it’s so much worse. Without my undervolt it will probably be at like 70-75c with the fans screaming at 2000-2300 rpm. I honestly might try and complain to Asus and try and fight for a replacement regular duo version because there is no mention anywhere that the coolers are this different. I’m also using a msi mpg gungnir 300r airflow and airflow is definitely not a problem, I even added 2 intake fans below the gpu and they barely made a difference. Did you end up returning the card?
@@kkmcgamerI also noticed that the bottom fans (140mm Arctic Cooling P14 Pwm PST) as intake didn't make a difference, maybe 1-2c and I find that quite disappointing. Not sure what I'm going to do, probably gonna sell it and than buy a triple fan card. Gaming X, Asus Prime, Tuf gaming, etc. Dual fan never again.
Hey, I noticed that the undervolting method that you use for 4000 Series cards is different than the undervolting method you used for 3000 Series card (such as the 3070 undervolt video). What are the differences between the two methods? Is It safe to use this method even for other cards?
Because rtx 40 series is stubborn sometimes, i tried undervolt my 4070s with old method it doesn't work, after i hit apply it only work for few seconds but after that my gpu frequency and voltage increase above the undervolt preset
Very good point! RTX 4000 behaves differently when it comes to effective clock. The method used on RTX 3000 I deem a bit superior actually, because you have absolute stability on the lower end of the curve. But it would lose you clock on RTX 4000, so we can’t do it. But in the end, they’re basically the same really :)
@@ImWateringPSUsJust curious. Did you learn this from trial-and-error experiments? Or, is there a way to estimate the result depending on the architecture?
Friend, an important question that I remembered at this moment, you talk about efficient undervolt, and in performance, the graphics card doesn't heat up? What temperature does your GPU reach in performance? TKSSSS

I hate that everytime I search for undervolt GPU i fond you because you never show power usage GPU (watt) in your video then how tf we know that Undervolt actually work?
How come the guide differs from older 3000-series to 4000-series? Like you actually lower the core clock for the voltage before the 900mV on older cars, then spike it up to the overclock at 900mV, while you increase the entire curve up to the OC on newer? Just better new technique?
I can up my memory clock with +1000 or +1200 (saved and working) but when doing the voltage stuff (from 900 to 2550 or 950 to 2550 or 900 to 2450) my memory clock drops to 810 MHz? Bruh, I VERY rarely leave a comment on youtube but this was so simple to follow & worked perfectly for my ASUS 4070 Super Dual OC GPU. Cheers, liked n sub'd
Edit - Forgot to mention it brought my 3DMARK TimeSpy score up 19803 from 19339 & my Steel Nomad score up to 4969 from 4608
Hey, I just got this GPU and I’m about to undervolt it. How has the undervolt held up and what’s your boost score? I have an Asus 4070 super dual OC Evo. I’m not sure what the differences between the evo and non-evo.
@@kkmcgamercheck if you have 110% fan power limit option in MSI Afterburn - I have nonEvo and have it
@@kkmcgamerI also have Asus 4070 Super Dual Evo and it's the worst card I ever had.
2955 MHz core clock, and 1500 MHz memory clock. Stable as could be.
Friend, an important question that I remembered at this moment, you talk about efficient undervolt, and in performance, the graphics card doesn't heat up? What temperature does your GPU reach in performance? TKSSSS
thank you vm!
Which differences in performance and other aspects are between the 900 mV and the 975 mV methods?
Its the gpu clocks that matter not the voltage. Having a lower voltage only potentially saves power consumption (watts)
should i wait for 50 series or nah?
To be honest, nah. The Super series is veeery good, check out my build with the 4080 Super if you wanna take a look at some numbers!
@@ImWateringPSUs nah the 4080 series screams belt in my book, i have the money but my parents wouldn't approve it, therefore im picking either the 7800XT or the 4070S, for the long run sure the 7800XT wins but i do intent on hopping on the 3d game dev stuffs. unless amd decided to shit on cuda i think the 4070s is the way to go no?
Only one question.. why setting mem clock to +1000? reasoning?
More fps
Thanks! On my Asus Dual 4070 Super EVO OC, 2750Mhz gpu @975mv and 12000Mhz (or +1500) memory seems stable.
What are your temperatures and are you still stable at these settings? Thanks in advance 👍
@@ronwladyka8127 I settled on 2730Mhz on the gpu and +1900Mhz on the vram and that has been 100% stable for a couple months now. I've seen as high as 75C when playing Star Wars Outlaws but it's usually right around 70C. I'm playing Indiana Jones today on ultra settings with full RT and it's at 68C while using 100% of the gpu.
@@SnubBarracuda I have that same card, but 2700MHz and +500MHz on mem with 975mV was not fully stable when playing Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. Had few game freezes. Still trying to find a combo that works 100% of the time
Following these instructions with my Palit 4070 Super 2x I have crash problems in gaming with any undervolting preset, even the lightest.
I crashed Cyberpunk, A Plague Tale, and The Last of Us. Sometimes it runs fine for hours, other times it crashes after 10 minutes, so I went back to the factory voltage and turned on a custom cooling curve.
Wtf you life saver i have a new build, my RTX 4070 super was getting upto 84c with a bit of coil whine was loud as hell now it wont go above 70c THANKS!
4070S doesn't go below 925mv though?
And in the MSI curve, the lowest you can go to is 920mv because if you try 925mv, it will run at 935mv.
The same on FE model, when I set 900 it just runs at 925
Same here. The lower I could go on the voltage was 925-930mV no matter what :c
The 2750 975 setting doesn't work for all apparently, my inno3d twin x2 4070 super crashes from time to time with it.
Same issue on my 4070S Inno3D Twin X2. Crashes in Manors Lords and EFT.
Have you found sweet spot for UV this GPU?
Thank you 🙏
Thank you from America!
really good video, really easy to follow thank you
Fabrizio Romano is that you?
I had artifacts in msi kombustor with the second preset :/
I had recently purchased a 4070ti S dual OC and was tired of the temps pushing higher and higher, I went with 2625mhz for the clock, and the temps are so much better, paired a 5900x It's great
Привет бро, какая темпиратура была хотспота бо андервольта и после? Скажи пожалуйста то так и не понял
поверь, упадёт значительно)
whenever i do both of your presets, it just starts artifacting. How should i proceed?
from 90c to 70c. THANKS MAN
THANKS 🎉🎉🎉
thanks this made the coil whine way quieter and it is very annoying so again thank you

thanks so much. I achieved 2760MHz 975mV on the core and +1500MHz on the memory (pny dual verto)
I hate that everytime I search for undervolt GPU i fond you because you never show power usage GPU (watt) in your video then how tf we know that Undervolt actually work?
With the first setting from the video my 2F Asus dropped from 220 to about 120-150 watts
@@kamilb.3525 Thank you, I need that info for sffpc
How come the guide differs from older 3000-series to 4000-series? Like you actually lower the core clock for the voltage before the 900mV on older cars, then spike it up to the overclock at 900mV, while you increase the entire curve up to the OC on newer? Just better new technique?
Thank YOU
Im trying to use the curve, but my gpu mhz is stuck at 2505?
Windoze Only 😞
Thank you
best video thanks
I can up my memory clock with +1000 or +1200 (saved and working) but when doing the voltage stuff (from 900 to 2550 or 950 to 2550 or 900 to 2450) my memory clock drops to 810 MHz? I am not sure what is going wrong….itbis a shame because the power dropped about 60w. Can someone please help me? I have a Asus RTX 4070S Dual and AMD Ryzen 9 7900 setup….
Do you have maximum power output in Nvidia 3D settings? If you have it on "Normal", those clocks under Windows can drop to lower values.
@@ZinhoLabs thanks for your reaction! Checked today and indeed it was on Normal! I have done it again and now it seems to be working. With undervolt (900 - 2550) and overclocked the mem (with 1200MHz) I’ve managed to reduce power with about 60W. But, in addition to this I’ve also set the max. fps in nVidia app on 120 (my screen is also on 120MHz in stead of 165MHz) what resulted in another 60W! So, my 4070S uses now about 120W less than before!
Hello friend, I would like to thank you directly from Brazil. This is a hot country and I was getting 75 degrees 100% on a 4070 super galaxy, It's still cold by his standards. but I chose to have a more comfortable temperature. with its profile it is a maximum of 68 degrees and 80 hotspot. thanks!

Mano aonde que ver o Hotspot dessa placa?
Many thanks to you. I was able to get a stable 2820mhz at 1,000mv and +2000 on memory clock. I have the exact same card as you show in the video. I think I actually set it in the curve to 2822mhz, but in Cyberpunk it'll start at 2835mhz and after a few seconds drop to 2820mhz and stay there.
that is because the Nvidia card changes the frequency in 15MHz steps

I get only half MEM: 5001 Mhz with the undervolt? With a ASUS 4070 S OC DUAL
La mia scheda rimane fissa a 2475 originali sempre anche se cambio la curva nel grafico
is the memory overclock necessary? If you didn't do that, wouldn't that leave some headroom to push the undervolt even further?
