Awesome vid mate, apparantley we are having problems with the compressor. How difficult or otherwise is it to replace that?

Awesome to hear you enjoyed the video. Replacing a compressor is very straight forward, Just take it step by step!

Do you think it would be possible to do without taking off the bumper?

No, the bumper needs to come off to get to the bolts for the condenser.

I own this type of car, my mechanic couldn't tell me why the air conditioning doesn't work, no leaks of the agent are detected either at the condenser or at the compressor...!, could it be the radiator on the dashboard?, do you have a presentation video for that too?

If there is sufficient gas in the system, your mechanic needs to look at live data for the controls and sensors.

not bad, i got a qoute a few days ago of £650 odd. Seems expensive but its where i live, its all more expensive so 500 is proberly good.

£500 seems like a lot for this job, not all jobs are straightforward replacements, sometimes the O ring leaks, sometimes condensers arrive bent on deliveries, and rusted bolts sometimes take longer time to complete the job, condenser replacement is not a that hard job for Japanese cars as compared to german cars.£200 seems a fair price including the parts.

@@paulsp2693most of it is VAT, they charge about £55 plus vat per hour and about £180 for parts, possibly extra to fill it up after. Seems expensive for a car only worth about £1500 but the heat has made me revisit this video so I guess I should get it done, I’ll use paymentassist and pay over 4 months to lessen the load 😂
