Hi mate thanks for the great video. I've had a knocking sound from my "bush pig" suzuki recently and so today I had a look and found out that one of the bushes on my LH control arm was completely shot so a quick online search luckily brought me to your most excellent video. Great camera angles, good lighting and speed ramping works so well! Anyway, you've given me all I need to get this job done and for that I say BIG THANKS from Broome Western Australia
Super Video danke 🤩
You're welcome. Thank you for taking the time to comment
Hello, should we bleed when adding coolant or just raise the temperature ?
if you are just topping up, no need to bleed, do not do it hot.
@@rpsspain1966I have to drain everything because I had oil in the coolant reservoir
thanks for this.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!
This was incredibly helpful. I am suffering with the same problem with my JGC. Drips from the passenger side A-pillar handlebar, and down the side of the dash to the passenger floor
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's great to hear that the video was able to provide some guidance for your situation.
Thanks for thos vid, helpful. Do you know if the Meriva 1.7 cdti has the plugs with a pressure sebsor built in ?
This one did not.
Hi Is the reason due to the turbo? It must be changed thanks
The owner replaced the turbo complete with actuator.
Thats 100% im thinking doing drum conversion into disc using the x18xe stuff any advise
Sorry never done one on an Astra.
I have a silly question but I am a female. What does the fuel pump do? My car takes about 3 attempts to start or turn over the motor. I’ve had new battery, alternator. I have a 2011 i30. When the battery went there was no motor sound just a click click noise when turning the key. To replace fuel pump do u need to have hardly any fuel in the car? Thank you
The fuel pump sends fuel from the petrol tank in this case, to the fuel injectors. it is more complicated than that, however that is basically the job it does. always easier if the fuel tank is less than a quarter full.
As a preventative measure always a good idea to use electrical grease on a new connector where you have known condensation and corrosion.
Probably if this was still living in the UK, however the weather seal is intact and it will see very little rain.
nice
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it!
Well done, great video and well explained .
Thank you for your support, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave such a positive comment.
Brilliant -- thanks !

Thank you very much sir. I have a 2012 Countryman S. I replaced the battery my fuel gauge seems to have been going crazy. Regarding registering the battery without that fancy equipment you have would mean that I need to take it to a shop, is that correct question mark and thank you very much.
I don't believe it can be done without.
@@rpsspain1966 thank you
Super Video! 🙏👍
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
You should have changed the fuel pressure sensor cause he is the one sending bad signal to the ECU. I did it on my own and the problem has been solved.
Why? As you can see from the graph of data the problem was the fuel filter, please be mindful that a code will have more than one solution. In your case it was the pressure sensor, in this case it was the fuel filter, much cheaper repair than a pressure sensor.
Thank you, great video explained it simply. I was concerned about priming the system after changing the filter and had considered putting diesel in the new filter which would have been awkward to do. After watching your video I realise there was no need. Many thanks.
Thank you for your kind words and I'm happy the video clarified things for you.
The worst unrealable car on the road .French shit.
I have code p0087 and changed the filter but sill not fixed.
It is not always a filter issue for p0087. look at live data for fuel pressure sensor. while driving in varying conditions.
@@rpsspain1966 yes the live data shows that it drops ever so little. I’ve taken it to 2 different garages and 1 of them said they haven’t got a clue but it’s probably the fuel pump and the other said they would have to try and do other things to eliminate the problem.
@@rpsspain1966 also when I’m driving it cuts out after about 15 minutes but then starts again as soon as I come to a stop. The van starts first time every time. Could you help. Thanks
I have changed my fuel filter but I still have code p0087. Also when I driving the van will cut out after 15mins and then will start again as soon as im stationary. I’m van starts first time every time. Any ideas please. Thanks
I can not do internet diagnosis, you need to graph desired fuel pressure with actual fuel pressure values and see if the fuel pressure sensor is dropping out
Ok. Well now the codes have gone but still going into limp mode. What do you think it could be
As I said, you need to get the live data.
My van doing the same thing, did you manage to fix?
Tidy Job mate, thank you
Thank you for your support!
I own this type of car, my mechanic couldn't tell me why the air conditioning doesn't work, no leaks of the agent are detected either at the condenser or at the compressor...!, could it be the radiator on the dashboard?, do you have a presentation video for that too?
If there is sufficient gas in the system, your mechanic needs to look at live data for the controls and sensors.
Nice
Thank you for watching!
These are the specs for this vehicle. You should check the spec for your particular vehicle. Suspension : Front drive shaft to wheel bearing housing Axle nut, drive shaft Axle bolt, drive shaft 325 (Nm)
@@rpsspain1966 yes, its exactly dame car, that’s why I’m asking. I’m having bearing issues after 320,000 kilometers!!! These Peugeot are a lot better than the new ones!!!! Cheers!!!
If put in service mode do you still need to disconnect the brake cable? About to give this a go in a couple days so I've saved it to my playlist 👊🏻
Don't need to, however I find it helps when maneuvering the caliper about
Just tried replacing mine today a lot more difficult than it looks with a 2 inch lift great job great video
Hope you managed to complete the job. Thank you for the comment.
Does the piston twist in or push in?
On this model they wind in see 11min 24 sec into video.
Mine clicks when I press the starter, but doesn’t start. If I bridge the **relay terminals like you did it starts right up no problem. And the fuse is intact. So I’m assuming a short or a bad relay maybe?
Probably a bad relay, check to see if there is a signal to energise the relay when you press the start button
Great video. Thank you for uploading.
Thanks for the comment, Glad you enjoyed the video.
So they should be all about .7 ? If higher they need changing correct?
No, varies by manufacturer, I have seen them working at just under 1,
Cheers pal for posting this 👍
No problem 👍
That red plastic plug with a slot in it on the left side of the radiator is the drain plug. 1.51 minutes in on your video, you really went the hard way about it skipper
Well spotted, I just didn't see it at the time, no great shakes pulling the bottom hose though.
Спасибо. На Ксара Пикассо помогло.
welcome
Did you push that screwdriver against the disc to push piston back?if so isn’t there risk of damaging the disc
There is not much force behind a properly functioning piston so the disc will be fine.
This video is vey helpful. I have the same insignia and i can t wait now to change my break pads myself. Thank you! Cheers mate! 😊
Glad it helped
Annoying seeing you using the impact driver on security nuts!!
Only used to snug them up and then use torque wrench,
Nice Video,,, just in time for me , I am doing the sons lol
Hope it helped.
Very helpful video.
Glad you think so!
Thanks, exactly what I was looking for.
Glad it helped.
why no new disc that's well shot
Customer advised and declined new discs and pads at this point.
My Hyundai i30, a 1.4-liter petrol model from 2010 with 60,000 kilometers on the odometer, is experiencing starting issues. The battery was replaced with a new one 2 years and 5 months ago, and the car started without any problems yesterday. However, after moving it from the driveway to cut grass along the edges, it failed to start today. Considering these symptoms, I'm contemplating replacing the fuel pump as a potential solution.
Best to get it properly diagnosed.
Many thanks for the instructions, they helped me a lot. And especially the trick with the paper strip in the nut - always helpful!
You're very welcome! I'm happy to hear that the instructions were helpful for you. The paper trick can indeed be a lifesaver when dealing with tricky nots and bolts.
A good video
Glad you enjoyed it
