Hamza's attitude is terrible , delay delay just not etiquette. Shame because he is a good player.

Hamza needs international training like Zakaria from Egypt. The latter has already moved into the top 100 in the pros at the age of 16.The second youngest ever. Hamza was 17 and Zakaria was 15 when they played in the World Junior Squash final.

Hamza has good skills but is deliberately slowing down using goggles as excuse. He need to learn to play faster. His couches need to help him with this. The umpiring us questionable in Hamza’s favour. This is not helping Hamza develop. If this continues then international players will not play Against him.

James has nothing to prove and is too much of a gentleman to react to the poor umpiring and time waiting.

It’s a poor match. James sadly can’t move very well but it’s still impressive he wants to compete still. Hamza is nowhere near the level of previous world junior champions that have gone to the top. Raw ability but won’t trouble top guys for many years if at all.

I have always supported Hamza but, he has such a lazy and frustrating body language at the court even watching it on youtube was tiring. He is never ready to pickup a serve and he takes for ever to serve. If he does not change his attitude and body language he may not be able to succeed, he is raw talent but doesn't behaves like a sports man. Sorry Kid but some time you need to hear the truth from your own people. Specially when you are aiming to be in big leagues.

put on the goggles on suddenly... ? hamza clearly talented, yes he won, but the time wasting towards the match end is clearly evident. good win vs 40 year old wilstrop, but if u want to succeed long term, these short term tactics buying cheap wins won't work. unfortunately, the fist pumps, time wasting, wiping glasses every 2 points...? don't look good. admire the desire to win, but don't be cheap which is obvious to all.
coaches = can you please teach him to have an attitude like Farag.

Well done Hamza, very impressive against one of the best players ever, and my favourite to watch. Please get a headband though, it will help stop the sweat dripping onto your googles every rally - this was clearly a source of frustration for James and broke his rhythm time and time again. It might not have changed the result, but would be been fairer if play was continuous. Respect to you though, you're getting better all the time 👍

  • @abidfarooqui4899

Honestly the referee was quite fair and I do not think Hamza took too much time beyond what I see in many matches on circuit in getting prepared so there was no reason to tell him to hurry up. There was only one instance in last game where he used the towel where that may be true. I think wearing googles is stupid anyway. Many players take that much time.
What I saw is Hamza's use of lousy boasts. Very high and in center. Needs a lot of work on those and I do not think they were even good choice of shots in 80% of the time he used them. Second, Hamza is slow getting to the ball on drop shots so even when he does get there, his return is compromised and not proper defensive lob. Third, cut down to trying to hit nicks on serve. He literally gave away 7 points doing that. It is a dumb thing to do at that level. Those are the things I think he needs improving. Sometimes his shots did not have great line and ended up in center of court but that happens to everyone and comes with experience and practice. Well played. Keep working hard and you will be there soon.

Just 8 months ago, he almost beat Mo Elshorbagy at Canary Wharf. He might have been a bit out of match play, but he certainly has a few more years left in him. Although at 40 now, I do hope his match recovery allows for that. If he goes to masters now, he will absolutely crush the competition.
