- Part two of the Warner Bros. annual blooper reel for 1949.
Featuring Milton Berle, Lloyd Bridges, Gary Cooper, Bette Davis, Kirk Douglas, Errol Flynn, Danny Kaye, Gene Lockhart, Dennis Morgan, Zachary Scott, etc.
All that valuable film Danny!!! That must have been director Henry Koster's voice with the German accent.
Ya gotta love Danny Kaye!! Loved it when Bette Davis said shit!!! Loved the Kirk Douglas moment!! And loved when Milton Berle spat out the banana!!! LOL!! :D
HAHA Bette said shit. That's awesome, love that woman.
"march becomes april, may ... oh balls."
You can see how difficult it is to actually make these movies. They had to shoot from opposite angles and repeat the dialogue over and over to get the look of the movie right.
Danny Kaye must have been hard to work with XD I would’ve loved it!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoy them! :)
Wonder what they are saying when it goes completely silent
I'm thinking the Coop movie is Bright Leaf.
The bloopers are an extra with the Doris Day TCM Spotlight collection.
@rem2267 I always felt the same way about Kaye too and most people thought I was nuts. However I really like the movie "Wonder Man" and it helped me feel a bit warmer towards him.
God, I love Bette.
@DLCOrganization Well, they're not in my source anyway (one of the discs in the TCM Spotlight: Doris Day Collection).
@1983CUEVAS THANKS A MUCH
@GEVMM no thats not Teresa Wright - not sure who it is though
@1983CUEVAS Beyond the Forest I believe.
@ConfusedSponge Who is it you're asking about? I don't think Donald O'Connor's in here anywhere.
I always found Danny Kaye to be a bit creepy. (not sure why) Ditto Milton Berle. For him, it's his looks. He scared me as a kid. He often looks rather like a homely cartoon character. Not to mention his comes-natural buffoonery. Blecchh!
@ConfusedSponge Ha, okay. I guess there is a certain similarity between Danny Kaye and Donald O'Connor. :)
David Brian, playing the rich guy Bette's after.
Kirk Douglas in Young Man with a Horn
Always Leave Them Laughing
What movie is the scene with the piano from?
Bette 💖
Who is the lady at 2:16?
@3:00 what movie is that w/ bette davis in dark long hair.
🤔 One of her worst pics... "Beyond the Forest" '49 Bette is too old for that part. I agree. She said it herself.
Yep, that's the movie. Now, who's the guy hitting the punching bag in that scene?
02chevyguy Wayne morris
Ruth Roman? Eh... The guy's Zachary Scott... Anyone know?
I like her reaction when he screws up, heh.
At 1:47 Patricia Neil and Steve Cochran in "Raton Pass". I think.
oh balls...
@ibotter4real Haha, I don't think you're crazy -- I can see that. Myself I suppose I'm pretty indifferent toward Danny Kaye. :)
Who's at 3:30?
Kirk Douglas.
Danny Kaye. Funny as a migraine.
You must be a right grump.
I thought Danny Kaye was great when I was a kid. Now I think he's fine in small doses. If he had just made shorts instead of full length movies. Amazing talent, even if it isn't to my taste. Now, Milton Berle - he's just funny ham. No problems there. But I can see what you mean about kaye's creepy factor. He's right on the edge - I think he just mugged too much. However just look on youtube for "WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHIN IN1950". it's just music without the "Kaye Cute Stuff"
Gosh you're right. I'm so glad to see someone else that feels the same way. He was distressing to watch and the ultimate in no-talent mugging. He made me grind my teeth. - Jerry Lewis could do that too. Milton Berle did the Carmen Miranda thing which was yippee for that time: a bore.
