Let me know if I missed anyone or if anybody should be added to the list!
When this album first came out I heard it being played in a record store before hearing anything on the radio (they were playing "You Oughta Know"). I immediately bought it on cassette tape and put it on in my car. When I first heard the chorus hit on Ironic with those amazing harmonies I got CHILLS. Great song, even if the lyrics somewhat describe situations that are more "unfortunate" than technically "ironic" in some of the cases.
Great album to knock the socks off the music world.
and there's the Irony...you got it! Most people do not. Nice Reaction!
“Life is a funny place”, sooo true!!!! Thanks for the reaction JJ.
This whole album is fire! ❤❤❤
Great song. Great album full of these gems.
My moms fav album to play as she lugged my friends & I around to prac during the 90’s
Alanis was a huge artist after she dropped her sophomore album. But I remember growing up watching her as a small kid on a classic Nickelodeon TV show, "You Can't Do That On Television". Who knew she would grow up to be a famous rock star?! I still remember being shocked when she came out as a singer years later in 1995 after playing a small part on a kid's TV show in the 80s. I was like, "Oh snap, ain't that Alanis from "YCDTOTV?!" lol. You can check out a few clips of her acting from an episode on the show here: ruclips.net/video/8PCt3RGy_sE/видео.htmlsi=1ljXbqKbmn4_28pJ
I remember that show 2!!!! I would go to my neighbors house to watch it because I didn’t have cable.
Creative song & video request.♥️👍great reaction.
Ironic thing about this song is that nothing she sings about is ironic, just annoying situations. But still a good song
Another classic. another amazing voice. Her most recent album is amazing. check out Smiling live from the apollo. SO goood. fun fact. there isn't anything actually ironic in the song. lol
🇨🇦 Ya girl.
First time picking up gas station scenario after all these years! 😂 The song always me of King of Pain by The Police, which she also covered.
This song caused so many arguments among young GenX-ers over what the definition of "irony" is, back in the day. I still get a little annoyed when I think about all the time we spent debating this topic. But overall we liked the whole album this song is from.
I’ve heard a lot of her music, but there is no particular song of hers I like.
She ran out of gas
Here's another irony: none of the things she mentions in the song are ironies.
Yeah I was actually thinking that too lowkey. Irony is like when you decide to become a vegan and then the next day you win a lifetime supply of sausages.
@@JustJammin She updated the song to include real ironies
