Big tip from playing Tenpai through most of master: Don't put anything in the GY you don't have to. Getting chundra called by'ed is pretty much GG, DD Crow is common too. You often have lethal without going to GY so if you can do it, play around it. Also your stuff isn't protected in GY when you have sangen summoning so if you go for Biden revive, a well placed crow or shuffler or called by can mess your whole turn up. Gotta be careful!
@@MrRafarr20 Just make sure you've used the effects you want to use first. It's fine to synchro with chandra after you've summoned something with it but any time your play hinges on a biden revive or fadra revive, rethink it and see if you can do the line without the body it's gonna revive. Usually you can unless you had a really weak starting hand. Lethal isn't hard to hit with this deck even with suboptimal combos. It's better to do a suboptimal line that's safer and still OTK IMO
I main DDD and as secondary decks I have Galaxy-Eyes, Blackwings. Any idea on what in the Heart of the Cards am I supposed to do? 😭 I think about returning to Attack on Titan Tribute Game 😂
And if you play the code talker cards its an auto win, excode + terahertz makes terahertz indestructable by lightning storm raigeki, and you have cynet conflict. Unless they have droplet send trap they automatically lose.
@@lordradiance2530excode isn't needed, we now have protecode talker which can special itself on quick effect and make all firewall link monsters cannot be targetted and destroyed, doesn't even need to be co linked
@@CrnaStrela i havent seen people run it, and also excode is an amazing extender because its a wind for codec, and wind gives you parallel exceed. Also they are only indestructible by battle, not card effect, so it wont protect you from raigeki dark hole lightning storm. Excode also doesnt need you to be colinked either, it just needs to point to terahertz. I dont know what you would take out for it either. It doesnt seem good at all.

I think we need one for Ritual Beasts too. I received 3 Royal Rares from that pack so now I have to play it and it confuses me. I get the gist of it but couldn't pilot it well enough against someone that has any decent deck.
Been enjoying using tyrant red dragon archfiend as a synchro option, its really good for negating spells/traps during the battle phase, so evenlys don’t work if you don’t have lethal. It takes 2 tuners plus a non tuner, so any level 3 dragon, plus chundra and genroku when summoned from the hand (counts as a tuner when done so), can make it. It’s also a beat stick at 3500 attack, which can push to 4k. You guys really gotta try it frfr
@@specs7195 One thing i would say is zealantis and raging phoenix are very replaceable. I’ve haven’t used them so far, but they’re in there for when lab and other trap decks start running d barrier to block synchros. It’s so i could maybe still otk.
I play tenpai and I hate everytime I lose the coin flip they put me against other tenpai forcing me going first but I still beat few of them even tho going first
at 1:08 you can special ANY fire dragon from your hand, not just what you searched, so you can search genroku then special the chundra in your hand then use genroku to summon itself
I think it is ygomaster, it is offline master duel where you can have access to all cards and set up games against AI while controlling starting hands and starting lifepoints
This deck is broken , but fun.if it is giving you trouble in ladder try playing labrynth, it just got me to master one. Trap trick. Daruma and d barrier are a must.
For turn 1 play you can do 2 card combo if you have paidra + kaimen/sangen. Paidra searches the other spell you don't have. Searche genroku and summon it as lv4. Make biden. Revive genroku ss fadrathen ss paidra. Link to seal with paidra + biden. This much riskier but your turn 2 tempo will be faster and it will come in handy in some games
nice guide other than the fact that so many of these combo situations assume paidra goes untouched, i dont think i have ever resolved a clean paidra (or the field spell) in the last 50 games
How do you deal with cards that are unaffected by card affects and can't be destroyed by battle? Just went up against crooked cook and right-hand shark xD
If anyone wants to know how to counter tenpai: just play insane turn 1 decks. I took out all handtraps (including maxx C) from my adventure synchron deck, so I pretty much have full gas to combo them into oblivion. I manage to deckout all maxx C until now. This can be done with lots of combo decks from Plants to Dark world, and they even have "in-archetype" floodgates. This strategy is awful if you are going second since you have no handtraps but... They make you go first :)
Even playing Yubel, I feel like I'm at a disadvantage lol. I go first and set up my board and they just draw into Lightning/heavy storm or duster. Sometimes they bait out a negate and use tactics.

1st Tenpai sangen summoning only provide immunity on activation effect but no protection from floodgate effect. Deck like stun and dinomorphia is Tenpai biggest enemy especially Dinomorphia as rexterm will backfire Tenpai a lot. Labrynth also another big counter to Tenpai as their will definitely will go D barrier 100% for sure. That why some Tenpai deck include red reboot specific to counter dinomorphia (except it already set up iron thunder) and labrynth. Terahertz also another big problem for Tenpai because Terrahertz secret floodgate effect negate any card activation during battle phase guarantee newbie Tenpai player will forget about it. Mathmech and Rescue-ACE (terrahertz varriant) have no problem at all to fight against Tenpai. Yubel no need to said it a ultimate counter to Tenpai. Heatwave is good counter to Tenpai mirror match or Tenpai itself. If you deck are good in going 1st and going 2nd consider like spright, Kashtira or Horus consider heatwave in your deck building.

Can we brainstorm rq what ways to deal with this abomination of a deck? I've been using Lab control for the past few days with D barrier, black goat laugh, daruma and anti spell (in case of board breaker), I usually just pray the Tenpai brick and doesn't disturb my Welcomes
Expurrely noir is good against this, you can dodge droplet by chaining purrely trap in grave and spin their stuff. Any close to FTK combo deck that can sucks going second but has enough gas to play through HTs and end on a billion negates (tear, pend, synchron pile etc.) Pretty sure any deck that can summon Light + Dark Chaos Angel - so Centurion and D Link Yubel has so many layers of interaction and extenders, it should absolutely destroy tenpai Lab and Paleo are good if the opponent isnt on lighting storm. If they are, there is always plan B of chaining a trap and lady set rollback to copy one from the GY that was destroyed (best case daruma) I dont believe in the deck. Its good for sure, but not the new greatest epic best deck. TCG showed the deck isnt great and yeah maxx c exists, but I will continue believing OCG has more casual (= not good) players due to lower card costs and OCG statistics greatly overestimated tenpai. I should be closer to the TCG where its the 2nd or 3rd best deck that will steal the occasional game.
I think lab is one of the best outs. Besides that, a crazy combo endboard deck like plants or infernoble mikanko just win if their board gets established.
I know there is little chance you will do this. But could you make a guide or a showcase of ritual beast, its a really complicated deck and I think it would be interesting to have your indepth analysis of how the deck functions and what it weaknesses are.
Gonna be difficult since MD is BO1 unless you are in an official tournament or premiere tournament like Meta Weekly that does BO3. Anyways Cosmic Cyclone, Ghost Ogre to sack the Sangen Summoning. Ghost Belle to sack Fadra and Biden D-Barrier call Synchro (hold til battle phase). If they already synchro during the main phase even with Sangen Summoning, do D-Barrier anyways because they may be protected during MP1, they are not protected by Dbarrier during Battle Phase If your deck plays Lv1 monsters. Go for Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale or Kikinagashi Fucho
If you have a board that can interact with them at all, you just need back row removal. Kill the field spell and they lose all protection in the main phase. The deck dies to MST no one should be scared of it.

There are plenty of individual cards that can hard counter Tenpai, the biggest problem any of them have though is this 1 Are they consistent enough to do it every game no matter what hand? And 2 Can it withstand going first against a deck that is going to be 20 cards of hand traps and/or board breakers? If the answer is somehow yes then you have found the holy grail, if not then it's in the same spot as any other "potential" counter
3 bodies. Make hiita. Steal ash. Make Promethean. Reborn a fire. Make raging phoenix. Link zealantis. Banish the field. Return their monsters back into facedown or faceup if no eff/weak attack. Trigger promethean. Make sure zealantis and promethean are next to each other. Trigger raging phoenix from grave. During battle, zealantis can pop 2 additional cards. Attack for game. If they don't have a fire in grave, you will need 4 bodies. Do not use genroku or bident eff, or you will be locked into dragons
Not gonna happen tenpai is very tight, the only thing u can edit is pretty much just the handtraps and boared brrakers, cant add other engines 🤷🏻♂️ heat wave in mirror is pretty much all what u can do
Swordsoul is the answer to this deck. I’m like 20-2 against them. Chixao negate paidra. Barons negate sangen. If they start paidra then already have chundra you have blackout. Not to forget you can link into the fire tenyi or fire sword soul synchro and ss protos and then they can’t play at all.
@@darkreuchiha1842 You can always play Solemn Judgement or Dark Bribe the Lightning storm or Droplet. Skill Drain can stop lethal damage. You can even play Mystical Space Typhoon and get rid of Sangen Summoning and use Super Poly on the dragons. You can use Solemn Warning on the Level 10 Synchro Dragon. Tenpai is a good deck but it is weak against Traps. Labs won't have a hard time with Tenpai.

Droplet, imperm, dark hole, raigeki. Most will likely run all of the above
@@darkreuchiha1842 You can always play Solemn Judgement or Dark Bribe the Lightning storm or Droplet. Skill Drain can stop lethal damage. You can even play Mystical Space Typhoon and get rid of Sangen Summoning and use Super Poly on the dragons. You can use Solemn Warning on the Level 10 Synchro Dragon. Tenpai is a good deck but it is weak against Traps. Labs won't have a hard time with Tenpai.
