The World Cup victory in 98 had a MASSIVE impact on football in France. French Kids could see that we could be winners and it was already a diverse team. Zidane and co inspired a whole new generation. Same now with Mbappé.
there's more then that...
@@ishaqueahmed8936 just because the black players have African roots it doesn't mean that their heritage are all from the same countries in Africa. Do you not know what diverse means or do you look at just skin colour? 👀

Love how it’s normalised, even though some natives still have a problem it, the normalisation outweighs it, unlike some certain countries 😏
This makes PSG's decision to adopt a Galactico approach look even stupider! Sitting on the worlds greatest talent factory with almost no competition in the city and yet they threw their chequebook at the problem.
Ended up having to sign Parisian Mbappe from Monaco for 100m. 😆 Glad they are changing direction. Looking forward to what they can build.
so true
PSG has incredible luck but the Qataris preferred to buy superstars. But now the Qataris have been informed of their mistakes and Luis Enrique will bet a lot on our training center and attract the best talents from Ile-de-France and France.
Same for Real Madrid.
Galactico approach serves its purpose for both, however, looking at the talent in Castilla, you really see the business value in moving local players on, Chelsea being another example of this.
@@StormingTowardsAllTheSmoke yes, Juve is another perfect example in the last 5 years, Marchisio was the only big Name that came from academy, now you have Yildiz, Iling Jr, Huijsen, Soule, Nonge that came up in the last 2 years and it pays off
@@champ12ons I would argue PSG has had the worst luck of any club in the Champions League...EVER. Between them and Bayern. Yeah, I get that there were severe choke jobs in the process (2019 Manchester United, 2022 Real Madrid) but hear me out.
They had the 2014 quarters where Ibra was injured for the 2nd leg against Chelsea, the 6-1 Barca match which effectively ended Deniz Aytekin's career because of the mistakes he made, Neymar's injury history and this recent UCL semis against Dortmund managing to hit the woodwork six times in the two matches (they hit the woodwork 14 times during the 2023/24 UCL season which is unheard of).
I was hesitant about Enrique but he is really growing on me. I think he can help PSG find that balance of meshing the homegrown talent with superstar talent.
I forget how wide my smile can be whenever I see Kante
In the ile-de-France region, football fields are free to use, which is the main difference compared to other countries that all
This and the higher quality training and academy system. English football for example, is run by a bunch of daft lad-ish ex player types

I can say its the culture football is played every literally, on the street in the neighbourhood. I have a cousin who lives in Bondy where Mbappe lived, i last went Bondy 2011 coming from the UK as a summer holiday as i got family in paris. Football is just it, mixed with the culture that is what it is. Footballs for the people and always have been thats why its raw in paris. In the Uk you dont get it as much as you used to years ago. But Paris you can literally play with randoms no age limit. UK its different. Thats just my perspective of things tho
I grew up in London in the 2000's. We played in parks where it explicitly said "no ball games". We played at break, lunch & after school. When there was no football, we kicked around cans or rocks. @MrMahmoud92i we'd still play where it said "no ball games". In my neighbourhood the kids still play near the carpark. I'm from east london, barking & Dagenham
The difference between England and France in general is that in France there are free access pitches everywhere, free cage football everywhere so every kid plays football all the time. They have the chance to play all the time and play street football and the competition is fierce so it builds the level up.
In England if you don't pay you don't play.. and it is supposed to be the country of football 🤷♂

paris suburbs and football is something you'll find all types of technical players soooo many guys were gifted but could not make it to the big level
The Île-de-France region produces a crazy amount of good players with varied profiles in all positions, and it supplies players to other Ligue 1 clubs from different regions of France, to foreign clubs, and even to African national teams from the former empire such as Algeria, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Morocco, Tunisia, Ivory Coast.
Football in France, and in Île-de-France, is the equivalent of basketball in difficult neighborhoods in the United States: it is the number 1 sport, with football fields everywhere.
In the neighborhoods around Paris of major French cities there is a large black and North African population, the best players will represent the French team, a minority will choose to play for the African countries of their parents out of conviction, while the majority will will default to the African countries of their parents.
This is why even in the youth teams in France, there are a lot of black players because they come from the neighborhoods around Paris.
There are white players in French football, but whites play more varied sports, such as rugby, tennis, winter sports, basketball, while black and arab players in France are very focused on football and a little about athletics.
No,
they are mostly black because west africans are naturally on average faster and more powerful.

Immigration has had a hugely positive impact on football, especially in places like Paris. Diverse communities bring unique skills and a deep passion for the game, creating a melting pot of talent. Many young people from immigrant backgrounds see football as a way to succeed and integrate into society, and their drive and dedication lead to incredible levels of skill and creativity on the field. Plus, with strong community support and excellent local academies, these young talents get the training and opportunities they need to shine. This mix of cultural diversity and opportunity is why we see so many amazing footballers emerging from immigrant communities!
You’re not born a footballer mate inheriting the skills by your parents, you learn to be a footballer the place you were born.
@@Nicefakes That's not quite accurate. While genetics and early environment can influence physical abilities, becoming a great footballer requires a combination of talent, hard work, and the right opportunities. Many top footballers come from immigrant backgrounds and succeed due to their dedication, access to good training facilities, and strong community support, not just their parents' abilities. Paris, for example, has excellent football academies and a competitive environment that nurtures young talent, regardless of where their parents come from. It's this blend of hard work, opportunity, and support that produces great footballers, I'm a former x pro also
Exactly. For immigrants in France, football is the way for success. If you didnt grow up in the suburbs, you want to go to university to please your parents but in the suburbs its either rap or football and nowadays MMA possibly as a third option. I am only talking about legal stuff cause we all know an other route they sometimes take.
Only the luckiest become professional players, it's very restricted. So people in France don't see football as an opportunity to "integrate into society". Hopefully we have a more or less free access to university and this is a real way to integrate well.

Deprivation among the immigrant communities in the suburban housing estates is why. The best players come from the ghettos and Paris (and France in general) have been extremely "efficient" in creating them. Post colonialism at its worst but it sure produces good athletes, same as in the US's Afro-American community.
Don't call them immigrants. They are not immigrant.

@@redox6160 yes you're right most of them are French and it was their parents or grandparents who came to Paris. I just meant that they have been parked in suburban housing estates far from the city centre and with poor access to public services, discriminated on the basis of their origin even if they are French and born in France.
There are multiple factors to this. When you think of the amount of "influence" France has across the world more so in the African countries, you start to understand why the players are the way they are
Despite this, the local football club in Paris, PSG, was bought out by Qatar and has spent nearly two billion on players. just a BIG correction here... This is not Paris but the Paris suburbs which produce so many good players and that's a BIG difference. I'm surprised that a Big channel like that make that kind of mistake in your title.
It's the same thing.
It's just a matter of administrative borders. Most cities include a good portion of their suburb as they expand their borders as the city grows. Paris hasn't. In fact it hasn't expanded its border since 1860, when the "suburbs" was mostly just a sparsely populated countryside.
For example, Rome is on paper a larger city than Paris, but in reality Paris is massive compared to Italy's capital. That's the concept of Urban Area: the suburbs ARE Paris, just under different names
Banlieues = suburbs

Its Africa that produces most of frances top talent
Ok 😂 what's issue nobody is stopping you.
The whole continent of Africa has never won a world cup nor even been in a final and yet people say France owes everything to Africa... France made those talents through formation. There are great educators in France and that is the main key to the success they have experienced. If all those players had stayed in Africa, they would never have become so good. Once they were formed, they could have chosen to represent their respective countries but we are talking about Africa, there are more than 50 different possible nationalities. People think of top french players of african descent like they are all from the same country, they are not. Africa is a continent, not a country.
Immigration in Portugal and UK is similar to immigration in france … The difference was made in the 90s when France opened their football to African talents . Many great talents came from Africa to try their luck and those who didn’t succeed are the fathers of today’s talents (mbappe, Pogba…) . Fathers will teach work ethics to their boys and most importantly they will make sure their kids don’t make the same mistake they did a generation prior….
@@jillesdjon Immigration happened earlier in France, during the 1960's and 1970's. Most of those players aren't immigrants themselves, but the children of immigrants (or grand children in the case of Mbappé knowing that his mother was born in France from Algerian parents). Immigration to the UK is now much stronger than in France, but it boomed later, in the 1990's and 2000's.
@@Clery75019 I beg to differ. I don’t think it has something to do with how old each immigration is (the UK’s started in the 17th century…) . I think it has more to do with the integration policy of each national league. Mbappé‘s father played football in Cameroon’s first division then decided to try his luck in france like many africans after the “Bosman law” of 1995 allowing foreign EU players in European leagues. In the 1990s , Football clubs like Lens , Auxerre , Metz , Sedan literally had training academies in Africa to scout talents as young as 12y/o. Many of those players never succeeded and went on to find civil jobs and Paris had plenty of that. They kept their work ethics and their sons are the one reaping the benefits today…
Africa that’s why 😂
They don’t want to call out the big elephant in the room
Not following, are you saying that Africans are naturally better footballers / athletes and when when they come to Paris, they get better?
@@Sinklebarn no the 2 best players in the world are white
@@chuckles1221no, the best players in the world are Vinicius jr, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe and they are the ones who will be in the running for the Ballon d’or. Keep crying
@@chuckles1221You better not be saying Cristiano Ronaldo is white? His grandfather was a Black African from Cape Verde. Ronaldo might appear white but has black African genes, like Rhonda Rousey, Ryan Giggs, Luis Suarez, Emile Smith-Rowe and Cole Palmer all have Black Grandparents.
And Messi is South American and they are the most mixed people in the world.
narrator's voice sounds so generic and annoying
just change your immigration policy
This is totally false. Very few are actually from main Paris city region. Most not all the players mentioned grew and played in surrounding Banlieues. If anything you should be giving those regions credit
When England starts Embracing black that’s the time they will win something.
Without being facetious it's a simple answer, African immigration has benefited the "french team". The line up at the end v Portugal had one man with european descent and his name was Hernandez which is not french, the other starter with european descent was griezmann a german name of Jewish origin. The national team policies of France need to be seriously considered as being anti white French man, I mean two of aformentioned have packed their bags and are playing for spain against france in a euro semi final.
