If you have the extra money to get the OLED you might as well due to the screen color/size it is a way better size to prop the kickstand up and play on a table or something anywhere. But the original switch with the updated battery is just fine too. In fact it is way lighter than the OLED. Other than the internal memory, screen and kickstand. You’ll have basically the same experience. Might as well just get the regular switch and use that extra money for a game or SD card

You're not wrong. In practice, I can tell you the difference is a bit noticeable but only if you want to compare side by side. Even then, if the game you test is 720p, it's pretty okay. The difference is way more bearable than it was between the 3ds and the 3ds XL. Maybe the diffrence is more visible if you compare the oled with the lite.
That being said, the perfect contrast and the confort brought by the bigger screen size are really worth it. But, like always, I would recommend to test both models and see it by yourself. May I suggest you to play in the dark forest of breath of the wild and metroid dread to see if the better contrast is a thing you care or not.

В освещенной комнате на v2 тяжелее разглядеть детали в тёмных сценах из-за этого. А в остальном, размер особого значения не имеет, а цветовая гамма мне кажется приятнее именно на v2. I'm conflicted...I don't like how the coloring for the games is so different on the OLED and that's my only hesitation. For example at 3:37, I don't like how the OLED makes the skyline/mountain range between different blues/pinks (You can't even tell it's supposed to be sunset/sunrise) where as the v2 looks more natural? Anyone know if the "standard" mode on OLED looks more similar to the V2? I want the bigger screen without every color looking super cool toned/overly tinted?

    • @mochirira

They’re at different times, that’s why it looks so weird! The oled in game time is around 4 while the v2 is almost at 5
You can kind of see the oled sunset at around 4:10 but they don’t really focus on it
