Oh hell yeah, I'm glad to see more mid-high level tutorials coming out here! The Attacker's Advantage section was especially cool, I appreciated the breakdown of different ways to approach playing the mixup. Also shoutout to the DGS music in that section too.
This was so helpful I play with some roommates who’ve been at it longer then I and they always get me with the jumping mix up; to hear why and what (although I think they’re more focused on non-committal moves then ambiguity) they’re doing, and counter play is extraordinarily useful! Thank you
This situation is SOOOOO common, both in melee and ult. In ult "dashback" characters like Joker and Wolf, and all swordies especially partake in this mixup. It's awesome to have such a high quality resource on the subject! Ty ty guys
This is one of those topics that makes a ton of sense when you put it into words like this. Its also such a melee situation because it feels like there is a million questions you can ask about it.
That was a really good video on a layer of neutral mix ups not as easily understood. Definitely going to try to be more aware of how not fast falling can condition people in a match, to then mix in fast fall options too.
Useful stuff to know. Long time players know this phenomenon pretty instinctively, but expressing this in terms of how to go about punishing more non-committal options is awesome. I've been playing for 5 years and I definitely see immediate applications that I straight up haven't been able to consider because I wasn't aware of how these non-committal options work in practice. I feel like your final assertion is right; its up to the approacher to dissect these interactions and really push them to gain advantage, while its on the defender to try and reverse the attack with their own mixups.
This situation and how to confirm whether someone is safe or unsafe were the two big obstacles I felt were preventing me from improving. Thanks for the video.
Interesting! I've always held the assumption that you should always fast fall your short hops and jumps in order to keep momentum going. This also explains the importance of aerial drift really well
@@BenChaverin Kira posted a video saying he's done with this channel and posted a link to him talking about using faith to prove God's existence on another channel, it has since been deleted.
Get back in the robot shinji Get back behind obs ludvix But to respond to your connect properly, yeah the kaiji anime rps cards in the into were sick(nobody notices them)
I'm probably just dumb, but when I saw the graphic of Marth jumping, I'm like "I play falco, why not just laser everytime they jump?" Condition them to always expect that then, bam!, change it up...then go back to doing the same thing
Can we get a video on how to beat marths who cheese in unranked? maybe it's not cheese or whatever but as a falco on unranked its pretty much get grabbed to get hit off platforms to get turnaround up b'd. basically how to either avoid their cheese 50/50 scenario's that end in a 100% edgeguard, or how to beat the edgeguards.
Thank you so much for all the positive comments
I see what you did there on the pros and cons lol
dang i was boutta comment this but like u won the prize
@@ethanroland9331 lol I'll share the trophy
the graphics and editing are incredible, makes digesting the info so much easier
“Pros and cons” was a fun pun
Whoa dude... dont go eating the video!! Theres really no reason to do that ya know.

this new format is pure gold
This is like the ideal ssbm tutorial content. Actually getting into what makes the game the game
Let's go Druggedfox !
Jesus wouldn't want you to take down the last video David, put it back up for the class to see 🙂
what video? :o

This is cool and stuff but what i really want is a 30 minute video essay on how god is the only possible source of morality
Loving druggedfox in these. He knows so much
One of the greatest videos you have ever posted
Fun video, great editing!

Excellent video, great for melee. Gotta keep increasing the community skill floor
5:57 "that doesn't allow for any NUANCE"
I see your splice.

The "PRO" Controller and Joy"CONS" was a nice visual
Pros and cons image lmao
oh shit you won the prize all along
I can see why so many top players pay DruggedFox for coaching. He’s so good at breaking down individual situations
AsumSaus type thumbnail
Thank you God!

Yeah yeah video's great but the best part was the pun with the "Pros and Cons" screen at 3:05 LMAO
Oh my gooood, thanks for all those knowledge bombs. Feels like I've learned more by watching this short video than by playing 10hours
Videos like this are ones that make you realize that, in spite of playing fox for 5-ish years, you haven't *really* been playing Melee.
this is incredible

Thank you so much for keeping this going. It's been a source of help and knowledge for many
3:02 funniest transition I have ever seen
Going to watch this more than once for sure. Great content.
I don't even play this game, but I watched it all because I found it so interesting.
Another great one!
Excellent video, will definitely make sure to watch many more times over to week to really "get it", love it.
ANOTHER DRUGGEDFOX VID??? YES
Really instructive
Ayo I haven’t even watched the video yet but that thumbnail is top tier
Astounding!
This situation and how to confirm whether someone is safe or unsafe were the two big obstacles I felt were preventing me from improving. Thanks for the video.
this was so fucking sick
cheers to the team for putting this banger out
This video and “3 ways to make neutral simpler” are the two best melee videos on RUclips
Oooh bby that sweet sweet Capcom vs Snk 2 music is silky smooth on the ears🔥
I really enjoyed it !!!! I'd like to see a followup video about that last part 👀 it got me thinking
I'm so glad this channel has been moving towards more complex topics!
This is a great video for all Smash neutral in general! Nice job ♥
Wow. I jump like this a lot and never realized how some people bulldoze me so hard
This is so good. Really hope there will be more content like this ^^
Best video this channel has offered so far. Can't wait for more.
this video is absolutely amazing. THANKS
If there was a "Smashy" award for youtube video of the year, this would win.
the editing was awesome and reminded me so much of a fire emblem game
That's cool and all, but is morality a social construct or a gift from God itself
Crazy to see this chanel still around and alive
Very high quality, very high level. I love it.

The biggest universal mixup is leaving this channel for a religious channel
What
Haha what is this referencing?

Drugged fox poggg
this is cool video and all but can you explain why god is sending us to hell again?
Can you do a tutorial on escaping platforms in the Marth vs Spacie Match-up?
You should do a video on Slight DI
Yo, I just thought of this video topic. Does Mario's extra big taunt animation have any weird hurtbox properties?
I fucking love you dfox
I can see more and more now why Amsa and Toph pointed out how overrated whiff punishing is in Melee.

Ginger has a video on this for Sheik. He may have one for Marth
