I feel that the sleep quality is good with catnip it's like a deep sleep and I find it especially effective if it's night time vs if it was still sunny
One of mine didn't react to it before he was about 1 yr. As a kitten he couldn't care less, but now he (6 yrs old) totally zones out and the drooling is insane =)
Green olives also drive some cats crazy. Isoprenoids in green olives (and apparently, some peppers) have a similar effect on the same receptors that are responsible for getting them high on catnip.

My 21 and 18 year old male cats, loved Catnip. Only fresh, home grown. I had to hide the pots of nip from them, otherwise they would mow down the entire pot at 1 sitting. I love and miss them!

Veteran smokers would seem to have the tolerance of a first timer and those who smoke lightly can smoke like champs. 1 G of can*abyss to 1 G of pipe tobacco of your choice, the kind used for roll your own cigarettes works second best but if you have a hookah with charcoals then hookah tobacco is best, 1 G of DRIED mint plant BUDS are best yet DRIED mint leave will substitute (I like chocolate mint better), and 0.5 G of DRIED catnip BUDS and PRE-FLOWERED buds are best and flowered buds are second best and if neither are available DRIED leaves will substitute.
Do catnip-responsive cats who haven't been fixed react to catnip in different or stronger ways? It occurs to me that this might be the case. Also, if we can connect cat genes to catnip response, can we tell which humans are responsive to some drugs via genetics? It could actually lead to extra preventative measures for addictive substances for some. Seems potentially useful.

Interesting, 2/3 of cats have a response to the nip. I have three cats, and two of them love nip, and the youngest is definitely indifferent.
My young one (around 8 months old) is indifferent to it, sort of sniffs it, but then just Meh!

catnip does not get you high, i put several drops of catnip oil in a bowl and smoked it. was super gross and did not work .
