I not a mechanic but I can follow directions, I watch a few RUclips videos and I was able to install the S&S oil pump, cam plate and zippers 468 cams on my 2017 RG. After realizing I didn’t screw anything up, I decided To upgrade to the 124 S&S. 10,000 miles later still no issues, hopefully it stays that way. I’ll always go with S&S parts before HD company. I appreciate these videos Kruesi

Speaking of cams I had cams in my eclipse GSX turbo. They were HKS 272/272s before anyone did cams in a import and it was black.
My buddy had a 240sx also with a bigger turbo and large HKS 272/272 cams
Then my other buddy had newer eclipse awd turbo with large cams and a big turbo
Topping it off was my friends Supra with a huge single turbo and monster cams and to make it even cooler we were all on race gas and every car was black in color
Back in the early 2000s having a group of big cammed thumping imports show up to races chomping on race gas wasn’t the normal and we definitely put a hurting on everyone and they were scared when we rolled up lol

Three grand for the cylinders/pistons, cam, oil pump/plate, pushrods, etc. is a screamin' deal. It's got me thinking about trading in the Twin Cam.

On you're stunt bikes do you do anything to the engines for durability? Looking to build up a engine that you don't have to worry about breaking lol. I wanna whip it's ass non stop and not worry about it. Do you have any suggestions on that? I'm referring to the twin cams btw. Any advice is appreciated and keep up the great vids.

Its cheaper to build a M8 vs twin cam. Whats the power difference though? With the twin cam have better valve trai geometry, comparable builds would seem to leave the t.c. making be power. Is there any truth too this?
Not at all. The M8 has four valves for cylinder. It’s going to make a whole lot more power than a twin cam any day of the week.

Im sporting a 577 zipper cam set. Should i upgrade to a bigger than a 48 mm cv carb. ? Ran out of fuel at top speed recently.

100% replace the cam bearings.

That motor sounds a little low on compression. I bet it's the head gaskets.

Why 550 cams? Though 585 or 600 would be better for racing?
If they made those for m8 those are twin cam an Evo cams. This is a four valve had 550 is a huge lift
