I'm glad the other episode was a mistake. I won't spoil it. I went in to little kid mode and was like Cowboy pwomised he was gonna fight Radahn... I guess the call of ... was too stwong to ignore. 😂

Speaking of episode 10 I don't think the necromancer skulls are overtuned. I think the frost proc you had every time you were hit just was melting you.
The wrath of the queen buff is great if you change your flask alotment from 9-2 to 4-7 or something similar. The point is to hyper focus on casting which means you need more blue. Only have 2 or 3 isn't going to cut it
I think dusk bolt is more like an upgrade to blackflame dart rather than orb. It has the same speed, size, and distance but it just does more damage and looks sick.
Use the Taker’s Cameo talisman from an enchanted remnant: you get so much FP back after killing an enemy, your FP problems would be gone!!
I love the godslayer black flame stuff, it caught my eye the first playthrough as i was running my normal dark souls quality/faith build at the time and loved switching between fang and godslayerGS. I hope that they add some new stuff in the upcoming dlc since im not able to run any mod/emu other than retroarch. Also ty cowboy for all the hard work you put into to your guides but also all the other content you put out, your talent is appreciated man

15:41 finally. After 3/4 episodes cowboy uses black firestorm the way it was intended. You love to see it
Id also love to see a showcase of each caster builds spells at the end. Same as you did for the DS3 mod way back when
I haven't obtained the final Night Rune myself yet on my Night build so I haven't been able to test it out but if it's not a typo and actually refers to all damage dealing 75% less then it's likely meant to synergise with the Quicksilver spells. I believe in the vanilla game, Night Maiden's Mist deals flat tick damage but Convergence has a ton of Quicksilver spells that stack with each other and deal percentage based damage. On my Night build I'm basically just stacking all the Quicksilver spells to watch health bars melt and I'd assume that percentage based damage is not reduces by 75% from that spell.

Iunno if you've already decided on things, but if you haven't already switched things up outirght, Death sorceries also scale off both intelligence and faith and are super neat, so I think they're worth checking out since you wouldn't really have to respec.
Hi Cowboy great vids as always. I have tried a couple of different classes and they all became OP after a time. Stormcaller is my favorite so far. Using Cyclone and Hurricane almost nothing could come near me. Death from a distance!!!
To think just holding the button down would make that much of a difference... badass
The revamped Taker's Cameo gives you HP/FP/Stamina back with each kill so for general spellcasting and AoW I rarely have to use flasks but I did push Mind to 30 early as it's so easy to max out your Sacred Tears and Flasks in the mod

Start with enchanted remnant, make taker's cameo. profit.
Taker's Cameo is also on the Serpent's Curved Sword. All the perks and an open talisman slot.

Try the night sorcery build, it's cool and has the damage you're looking for
U can get over where that light is by crucible knight Siluria is in Deeproot. You just have to go around the back side. Pretty sure u need to do it to unlock Fortisaxx

That first door inside the castle is never open for me, is there a pre-req task or something to get that door open. I can't play Redmane seemingly b/c I can't advance there
There's a talisman that restores HP and FP on kill, great all the time then swap out on bosses. (its the red one which I think used to be the bleed talisman)
I was going to suggest this too, it would make FP issues basically vanish
In retail it’s a restore health on Kill talisman. Takers cameo.
You gotta try the HP/FP regen talisman after killing an enemy its really good like i don't need any flasks when I do open world or dung

u should do a pure lightning build/convergence playthru where u collect EVERY type of lightning spells and robes/armors. Every form of lightning magic. that'd be sick.

Yo cowboy what's up. Love your stuff. You have walked me through all the dark souls sekiro bloodbourne and elden ring. I'm not trying to back Seat cause I know you hate that but I was just thinking how great it would be if you put black flame tornado on your rib rake spear. Idk where it is in that mod. Even if I did I would know better than to tell you but hey it's a thought.
i think Blackflame Dart would be more useful in combo with Wrath Of The Queen because of the FP cost, plus it should do good damage with the damage boost

Definitely a downside to conversion mods is when they just tell you where your upgrades are. If you didn’t know where to get all of the godslayer upgrades then the longevity of the run wouldn’t be so short. Because who wouldn’t just go straight for their upgrades? I know I would. Not knowing where your stuff is leads you to look around a lot more. You end up seeing more of the changes that have come with the mod as well.
Knowing where they are is fine as it gives you a direction, but being able to reach the location so easily is a different matter, the teleporters are way too convenient
But is this because the devs assume most people will have already played the base game and like Cowboy's doing, not focused on exploring or side questing? They're giving you the opportunity to OP quickly to then go try it out all over the land and explore without getting rekt when you enter into a high level area.

You can respec to keep things fresh and interesting, but I don't think it's gonna make a difference in the end. The whole point of Convergence is to become as OP as possible. It was the same in DS 3. No matter what build you choose, you're gonna obliterate everything in the game by the end.

i think if you use black fire storm on the dragon kin soldier instead of the riposte would end the fight much quicker
I think the only downside to this mod is that it tells you where all of your spells are, which allowed you to upgrade too fast.
If the note only told you where the first location to go and a player had to explore to find the rest, it would probably make for a better experience
I love this. Like you get told where the first set is. You get there. Then maybe you get another note once there that points you in the direction of the next, and so on. Could do the same with the armor sets so you don't know where your ultimate armor is too early either.
@@lakmo Yup, mixed with nerfing the fast travel/warping via the erdtree gates, it would make for a much smoother progression, while still allowing a person to explore if they wanted to.

@@shimmya I don't disagree, of course people will though, not everyone will. Some may even choose to avoid it, but that's already a thing, "just check the wiki, check the wiki." Those who would already would, this would help the people who wouldn't, and they're out there...
I'm thinking if it was more like 12-15% Life 50% is pretty steep of a drop but does big D damage for sure.

you killed dakk too fast to realize how cool of a design he is. they did really good job with him. would recommend everyone to spend some time with him and not kill him too fast to see him in his full glory.

Wrath of the Queen is one of the strongest spells it's crazy. It essentially allows you to swap all your flasks to blue and never use a healing flask again and virtually never run out of FP and dish out crazy damage for an insane period of time.
Yeah but you also get 1 shot by anything that's big
@@FightinCowboy I was thinking of this too but have you tried just using the best armor for absorption/defense and all defensive talisman? Especially something like ritual shield talisman would help a lot for that I think because you don't need anything boosting the damage when that spell does that itself plus gives you so many more casts.
A lot of these legendary enchantments I don't think are worth it to be honest. Sure the effects are great but downsides like half your health or half of all your absorptions are such a massive negative that it results in a one shot usually.
@@FightinCowboy To be fair if your hyper focusing casting they way its probably intended to work then you shouldn't be close enough to get hit in the first place.
@@QwertyBoredom122 "not being close enough to be hit" and elden ring don't belong in the same sentence. Even when you think you're safe, something will counter that perception.
When the Godslayer finally becomes the very being he set out to annihilate... he realizes that this was the end of the path for his initial purpose. Now a new Godslayer must take up the path, destroy the newly born god and repeat the cycle of the Godslayer...
Basically Cowboy found a way to become a god with the Godslayer build.
Cowboy i know ur using Increase Holy tailsman but can u get the increase Fire damge tailsman and test out the damge difference i think it’s better
All the spells Cowboy is using do holy damage not fire so I don't think anything that increases fire damage will benefit him. Even if they did benefit him the damage will most likely be on par or a little less considering his seal is better used with holy not fire, and the talismans that increase the elemental damage of whatever are all the same percentages from what I've seen.

no need to run around with 9 hp potions with that queen spell, maximize fp pots and just spam

Hope the Dev team rethink the damage penalty for these legendary spells they are supposed to be Legendary so maybe a 25-30% penalty to using melee but 75% is silly it essentially makes the spell a non starter yeah you get great benefits but negated by having to fight enemies longer but it's still an impressive alpha build
Mod is designed around spellcasting, they want you to play a caster, not a melee class. The spells seem fine to me.
Perhaps the answer to the insane debuff you get is a sidequest to "unlock" or "enhance" the spell that reduces the negative penalty? Get the spell initially, find quest to go somewhere to get the thing, get the thing, and use it to unlock the spell's "true potential" with a reduced (possibly significantly) debuff. Like reduction to damage goes from 75% to 25% or something....
@@lakmo yall are asking for too much lmao. It's meant to make you a super powerful mage. Lowering the melee reduction would make it trivial.

It just feels like the black flame incantations are not that great, you do way more damage with your little sickle.
Video quality is fantastic. Dude you're so op it's kinda boring to watch. The mortars are sick though.
This is how it should be tho. Lore wise it makes sense you destroy almost everything in the base game they made it kinda suck the people making the mod know the story of the game. There is a reason everything that uses black flame will kill you almost instantly like the black knifes godskins more so maliketh. So it's nice to see that black flame stuff got some love

This mod doesn’t really add anything special to the game at all. If anything it just makes the game another cookie cutter open world game. It just makes the game very boring. There’s really no point in doing anything because you can just teleport almost anywhere in the world.
