Yes! Hersonissos has some beautiful views!
A bit sad. I lived on the harbor 80-86. It is unrecognizable to me. The incredible beauty of this little port was the simplicity of the coast and the surrounding village. I guess this is progress.
It's very progressed, maybe even too progressed for me as well. I've never seen Greek towns like this ever but there is still plenty other towns in Crete that are traditional. And old Hersonissos is still a typical Greek Village
Can’t stand in the way of development. It is everywhere. I’m sure it benefits many Greek citizens but, unless the average Greek families have changed a great deal, I suspect it dismays just as many. I’m old and admittedly prefer the simple things. I used to jump in the sea and harvest urchins and octopus with the locals. A kid from remote northern U.S., I learned a great deal from the splendid people there. In my view, the best in the world-and I’ve seen a LOT of it.

Hersonissos is basicly a bunch of hotels and sun beds
There is def way more in Hersonissos besides hotels and sunbeds lol. Shopping, Cafes, Restaurants, Bars, Beautiful Hidden Beaches, the Aquarium, Go Karts. I have a walking tour video coming up, give it a watch and see for yourself :)
@@RoulaTravels I’ve been all over there but will watch it anyway. Doesn’t beat Chania or Rethymnon with their old towns etc.
Chania and Rethymno is absolutely so different as is Agios Nikolaos and Ierapetra but Old Hersonissos is a nice escape from the busy main town if you had made your way up there?
Malia Old Town is also so beautiful 😍 video coming for that as well! If you appreciate chania and rethymno then you will appreciated the quant little village of Old Town Malia.
