Hi , really useful video. Thanks. I need your help, I am old graduate (2010), completed MD (emergency medicine-2017) from India. Just going to attempt step 1 late this year. What kind of usce would be suitable for me to get matched into EM? Is my experience here useful?

Thank you brother for your awesome video and other videos you provided us. You are a great source of inspiration. Till now from your video I came to this conclusion. I am an IMG student. Going to graduate on 15 July 2021. I know it's a bit late to apply for STEP-1 which I should have done after 2nd year but still, it's never too late. So I am going to apply STEP-1 and STEP-2 CK in 2022 and take OET( if it is still mandatory) too. I will take an externship and observership in the US also do some researches if I get the chance and finally take STEP-3. Please correct me if I am going wrong. So brother can you help us undergraduate or graduate students to know how to prepare a timeline for USMLE or make some videos of how much time will take to go through all this process. It would be a great help. Thanks. Waiting for the video brother. Keep it up again you are a great source of inspiration.

Some institutes offering non-VSLO electives are high end like Harvard, Yale but I don't think they'll help me much in steering the path for my residency. I'm really confused that maybe I should apply for observership later. Any thoughts or advice on this?

I had a major concern regarding the timeline and when exactly during the course of MBBS I can go for electives. According to your video, the USCE is for a duration of 3 months, and electives have to be completed before graduating from med school. Also, we should have USCE from at least 3 different places. That adds up to 9 months give or take. We hardly get any holidays from our med school and even when we do, they are in between proffs, which is one week maximum. How can I go for electives? It would be great if you'd answer this question and let me know how you got leave from your college to be able to do electives in the USA.

Great video sir you are really providing us with the first hand experience !!! ...but with the onset of pass /fail in Step 1 what are changes in criterias that we would get the USCE oppurtunities ....also if the pressure falls on STEP 2 marks whats your view in the timeline change of actually going for the USCE's ....before or after STEP 2 , sorry for my bland writting abilities.

I think all you would need then is a step 1 pass result

Thanks for the video! If we do step 1 in February after it's P/F will it affect our chance of getting an elective?
