    Thi is Amazing! Thanks! One improvement: If you set a FLOOR node right before the Z input of the Set Position, you will not have any offset between the collumns.
    Because if you try to set the books far from eachother you wiill start to notice a big offset at the Z position.

      Hey!
      I tried this but it isn't correct either. Cause we then need to tweak the value for horizontal spacing just so otherwise some meshes still overlap.
      I have tried multiple things but am still at loss to overcome this offset

    You can add space between books directly to the divide. That helps you to give exact value of padding at y axis as unity unit.

    For some reason when my particles are in front of each other the areas that overlap flicked in and out a lot. Does any one know why or how to stop it? Also do you know of a way to either stop or controll how much each row is offset from each other? as it seems like each new row starts slightly further along then the last.
    I wanted to see if I could adopt this method but instead of books have it be bricks in a Wall but I can't find out how to spawn the meshes in the typical layout of a brick wall, having each row offset from the last

    • @vincentaindiedev
      @vincentaindiedev  3 года назад +3

      Hi ! This was not my first graph, and I had previously learned from different sources... That being said, it's really not that hard, it all comes down to breaking down your VFX in different parts. So for example here : 1) how to make a row of objects
      2) how to make multiple rows
      3) how to randomise the objects (color, size, etc)
      4) how to animate their position
      Etc.
      After making a few graphs, it becomes pretty intuitive :)

  • @piousthepious

    Noob question probably: HDRP only or it works in URP too?
    Edit: As I watch I hear that Lit mesh is hdrp only, but is that it?

    • @vincentaindiedev
      @vincentaindiedev  3 года назад +1

      As far as I know, this is the only limitation you'll face in URP with this setup... So if unlit mesh/quads are okay for you, it should work !

    • @vincentaindiedev
      @vincentaindiedev  3 года назад

      Hi ! I am not sure I completely understand your first question, but the top lights are simple spotlights, they mostly look nice thanks to the volumetric fog. The dust is just another VFX graph that spawns small particles in a radius around the camera :)
