This film made my heart happy. To see two black people in love was intoxicating. The music was awesome, the clothing was amazing and the love was lovely.
This movie was the Black Notebook but better! Beautiful music, beautiful settings, beautiful vibe!

We (Black Folks) deserve a movie such as this. It has character, style, class and substance. Plus, as a vocalist who specializes in classic soul music, the soundtrack was simply astounding, Sam Cooke was played along with several other greats like Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson and many others.
Most of all, its a great image and reflection of Black people, this is an instant classic an adorable film...

I love how Nnamdi is building his acting career so organically by picking roles that speak to him and not leaning at all on the success that Kerry Washington has already achieved in this industry. I also love how Kerry is giving him the space to grow without her influence -

Outstanding performance by Nnamdi Asomughi. I was literally outdone by his acting abilities. Wouldn't believe he is a former NFL athlete and not an actor, but he does have a great support system lol. Tessa Thompson is one of my favorite actors anyway. This collaboration...awesome. Kerry W., had to be behind this production.

The movie was great but I hate that she had to cheat on her fiancé and then cheat on her husband! I hated that aspect of it. That’s not how black ppl have to fall in true love. I would’ve loved it if they just fell in love and was able to move past other things. Maybe before the cheating starts, walk away from the marriage or the engagement.
Ooh, this movie was sooooooo good! A Classic Romantic! Let me go watch it again. This and Bridgerton are my go to movies for this crazy pandemic!
