I’m binge watching your reviews. Quite the education. Fun to watch beards and hair changes 😃
you all prolly dont care but does anyone know a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any help you can offer me
@Raymond Jaxton Instablaster =)
Loved the film and your review. You guys do know that Nnamdi is married to Kerry Washington right? Looking forward to seeing them on screen together.
The lead performances from Tessa Thompson and Nnamdi Asomugha are the strength of film. It also features some nice late-fifties sets, costumes and cinematography. However, writer-director, Eugene Ashe stumbles and fumbles his way through some forced clichés and thick melodrama. The way the plot manipulates the fate of the central couple, when simple one minute conversations would solve all their troubles... Well, it makes for a frustrating watch that tests our patience. (5.5/10)
Matt's emotional review.
I hadn't heard of this until your review. Now I want to see this. Great review folks.
Let me preface by saying I truly enjoy you all, even when I don't agree with your opinions. You guys always remind me why I love film so much, and your enthusiasm is totally infectious. I marvel at your knowledge, and how you can talk in depth about a film without any spoilers (which is an absolute gift, and I'm profoundly grateful you all have it).
That said, if there's ever a *_Breakfast All Day_* drinking game where you take a shot when Matt is interrupted, people may die of alcohol poisoning.
But again! I love you all to pieces! Mean it!
I’m so glad I’m no the only one! I’ve always had a feeling they don’t really respect Matt’s opinions. As if they’re only putting up with him. When he actually makes the most sense out of the three.
Sounds like Matt's Best of 2020 needs a correction
Weird, it was not me. Shocking to hear your name 😂
Thank you for encouraging me to watch this. It was on my radar, but with your review, I will surely watch it right away.
LOVE THIS MOVIE
La La Land vibe, anyone?
I saw this advertised but ignored it, but now I'll definitely watch it.
I'm waiting for recaps on American Skin and Bellie Holiday
Perfect film. Top ten material. This movie did justice to jazz music. Soul tried and failed.
Soul wasn't really about Jazz. You completely missed the point of that movie
I thought someone would mention La La Land. I guess that's too old a reference for now.
@@bergman864 fucking la la land !!! 😂😂
@@bergman864 I guess La La Land Is seen as problematic now since it's about a White Couple and doesn't have any Woke themes. I personally love La La Land. But just like Grease I expect it to become problematic for stupid reasons.
@@Gavin48 I love the movie myself and I didn't realize Soul was mentioned in the review. I just figured a movie about a romance with a jazz musician as a main character would automatically get a La La Land comparison.
I'm _so_ looking forward to watching this.
