Wow!!!!! Wilson's looking good. I wish I could have gone by it more often. Well hopefully by April when I get my electronic wheelchair I'll be able to watch the construction of the rest of it being I use the Red and Purple Lines to get to my doctor office.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It is similar to the Belmont and Fullerton Station projects. I'm sad to see the vintage historic station go, but it will be nice to have a modern station in its place.
Just a correction, the "yard" on the left is what remains of the Wilson Yard and Shops. The Buena Yard's connection was the concrete structure slightly to the east of the L that was torn down in your last video. The Wilson Yard was the main shops until the Howard Yard was expanded. The whole facility burned down in 1996.
packr72 thank you for the information. I moved to Chicago in 2004 so I don't have the real history. I was using Wikipedia for my information. Do you know how big of a yard they had? Did it extend to where the Target is now? Thanks for the correction and information!
Love your coverage of this project! When will you do the next update? I also checked out the CTA site and their info on it is great! All the historical data they present takes me back to when I lived in Chicago.
Thank you William! I go the Wilson Station every so often to try to get some footage. When I have enough then I'll post a new video. Who knows when that will be though!

It has been some years since the last time I've been to the Wilson station. That is some ambitious construction project. Thanks for the video.

I love how complex the track layout is
The track layout is going to get a lot simper. The platforms are going from curvy to straight and the small unused "yard" is going away.
Very enjoyable video. You do fantastic work. Clear and to the point.
Thanks so much!
Amazing footage and coverage of the project! Keep up the good work.

You're welcome. But this site has everything you need to know about the L.

In the old days, it had a giant waiting room like union station with a barber shop and a shoeshine.

So the new Wilson station is going to be on the south side of the street now so what will be on the north side of the street?
The station will move slightly south, but it will still straddle Wilson Street.
