The Apollo certainly has alot of features and with that, plenty of future gameloop potential. As medical gameplay evolves im sure this ship will suit the need of any would be space doctor. I look foward to its arrival! But what do you guys think? As always let me know down below!
The real question for our fleets is: RSi Apollo Medivac or RSi Galaxy with medical module. Will both Apollos have top tier medbeds since start, or the options to change them? Interesting concept but with nowadays intel it is more interesting to safe your money in the Galaxy. The apollo is a speciallised ship and the medical role has not been that developed.
@@sigunat both variants have the ability to mix and match med bed variants, the galaxy is great but going in too and out of atmo will not be easy. I think the Apollos have a place in the verse, as medical gameplay improves and gets fleshed out i think apollos will shine.
@@PIN-o7 Galaxy won't have to go in to atmosphere that's what the C8R that it can carry is for. Looking at the concept art I think you might be able to put a 2nd C8R on the lift in the med bay module as well. I assume there will be a control range on the Apollo's drones which could potentially put the ship pretty close to the combat zone.
I have waited so long for these ships! I'm a Pharmacist IRL with a PharmD degree. Here in Canada, the government has given Pharmacists with my degree more power. We can prescribe certain medication and refill certain prescriptions without doctor approving. I want to role play a medical career in SC, with my Apollos, and eventually my Endeavor lol. I have both Apollos and the Endeavor lol. I'm just waiting on CIG to deliver! Excellent video!
Have the medivac upgrade CCu as well. Looking forward for the day. I hope the drones can enter bunkers as well, because right now, rescue beacons are a suicide mission sometimes.
I love this concept. Can't wait to see how it comes out. I only wish they'd use the platform for more than just medical. It's a great layout for so many roles.
Don't forget that, in the future, the medical beds will "consume" supplies in order to do their miracles. And respawn will take alot. Not having unlimited abilities means keeping supplies in hand to restock your medical beds.
The medical modules (each side of the sides of the ship that has beds) come in three configurations. Tier 3 will have 3 beds per module, Tier 2 will have 2 beds per module, and the Tier 1 will have 1 bed per module. Modules can be mixed as needed. If you go with 2 Tier 3's, you can treat 6 people. With 2 Tier 2's, you can treat 4 people and with 2 Tier 1's, you can treat 2 people. I am configuring my Triage with a Tier 3 and a Tier 2 while my Medivac will have 2 Tier 2's (may go for T2 & T1 for special events or until the Endeavor Hope is available).
I wish they'd extend this to the Cutty Red. 2x Tier 3 beds or 1x Tier 2 bed would be an interesting option. I think for the Apollo, the most obvious choice is 3x Tier 3 beds on one side and 1x Tier 1 bed on the other. There might be times to mix, but that's probably the best standard configuration. Put people on the Tier 3s to steady them until the Tier 1 is free, do the critical repairs/respawning people on the Tier 1. Just seems the most logical to me for general use, anyway. Some other configurations can be used for specialized purposes - 2x sets of Tier 3s for a bunker mission or 2x Tier 1s if you're part of a fleet with several medical ships so you have some Apollos set for triage and some set for "the serious cases", etc. But general use seems to me the Tier3+Tier1 setup.
Finally someone talking about this ship recently ! I own it, i love it's design .. lets get this out already ! was glad to hear a lot of prelim work has been completed on the last round table and its gotta be close to going into production
An interesting ship, if the game will feature a better and more rewarding gameplay in term of interaction. Unfortunately, 90% of rescue missions implies digging out people form bunkers and the other 10% is about dealing with Trolls and griefers.
I know this comment is 5 months late. I think the Connie’s series should be updated with this actual ship design. Change out the inside but keep the same exterior. Beautiful ship and nice video.
Also, once this ship and the tier 1 bed is out, it'll be all but mandatory for some content. Currently the Carrack's tier 2 bed allows for respawn but that's no longer intended. once the tier 1 bed is in game, that will change, and then the tier 1 bed providers will be the most popular respawn providers. That will be huge! And this being a relatively small ship (at least compared to the carrack), it will be incredibly useful.
The Apollo Medivac makes me think of the Trauma Team AVs from Cyberpunk 2077. It would be wise to have heavily armed security personnel onboard for cases where you might encounter other players preventing you from fulfilling your duties. Hopefully there are seats inside and a small weapon rack for storing extra weapontry/ammunition.
thankyou, yeah i believe some work has been done. I believe CIG are currently discussing when the apollo will go into production. Fingers crossed soon.
I bought the MediVac version when it was available... I love playing a healer in MMOs and that was the best ship at the time. Also, it looks amazing... However, I upgraded from that to the Galaxy because just playing around in a Red and a Pisces Med (which I bought as well) players loved to go after those ships because they have little to no defense... At least with the Galaxy, you will have a good amount of armor and weaponry to defend against most attacks.
I think there should be an exploration variant of the Apollo. Plus, I'd like to see at least one spaceship from SC with the bridge near the middle of the ship.
They be easy to use and set up really, the cutty red or pics red would be used to stabilize the patient. Then move them to the Apollo which would be outside of the combat or hazardous area. At least, that how the military does it, or simple triage. The other things is, how would we put them on the automated beds? would we use a tractor beam ?
I still want enough room in the back for a STV while not blocking the exit for a gurney. I know we have the drones, but how does a drone press buttons like on doors or elevators? Also, if the drone takes fire it cannot fire back. In addition, if it is treated as a hover vehicle bunker turrets will fire on it.
