In Ireland we have ASD rooms in schools. If an autistic student is having a shutdown or meltdown or just need a break they can go to the building outside the school which is overlooked by special needs assistants

In my experience in schools (schools I've been to/go too and other schools near me) they don't have an ASD room. But its good to know that there are some schools in this country that have one! They just need to be more common

Man, my grade-school and high school was very very horrible for acceptance, I’m realizing. I’ve been misdiagnosed and miserable on multiple medications for stuff I don’t even know if I have anymore or had in the first place lol. But fortunately I’m starting completely over with doctors and help. I’m horrible at maths and science. But I’m good at English and Art and History. I was horrible during class though only because I had teachers and kids that made me so uncomfortable that I did not want to receive an education anymore. As in I wanted to drop out because of teachers and kids that humiliated me in front of the entire class because of my differences and I had no idea why or what was going on or that I should have told my parents what was going on. I didn’t know how to vocalize it because my parents and my therapist and my doctors based my problems on stereotypes. So I felt one way. Acted another. Couldn’t verbalize the truth and got treated all sorts of ways cuz of it. Never abused by my parents but ignored and shut down tons and tons of times because they “knew what was wrong with me”. “A depressed girl who acts out when she doesn’t get her way” couldn’t be further from the truth.
