No guitar player other than Eric Gales makes me go on an emotional roller coaster the way he does.. He plays with such soul and feeling. I play upside down as well, and although that’s what attracted me to him, he’s down right one of the best.
What a great lesson ! I’m a jazz blues rock guy, I have been playing my own version of this, so I already knew the basic structure and I’m familiar with these chord forms. I’m from Memphis, Eric’s hometown, and I’ve been following him for many years and kinda know him, my buddy played bass for him and his brother Eugene. Eric Gales has the soul of Hendrix with the mind of Eric Johnson. He’s the best I’ve heard.
This is a magical tune indeed. I remember as a little kid hearing about how great Hendrix was, then I got the Purple Haze 45 with Foxey Lady on the B-side and I thought it was cool but it didn't really move me. But I remember hearing Little Wing for the first time and being absolutely blown away. One of Hendrix's best for sure! But I also find other's interpretations of this song very interesting also, sometimes interestingly good, sometimes interestingly bad. But thank god we can always go back to the original! Thanks for watching Nicholas!
His chords are insane. Saw him live - staggered at his change-ups and swirly vibe. And of course the solos.

Great lesson thanks much EG studied with the great Shawn Lane......
This is overkill
Not if you're Eric Gales!!!!!
This is one of the best tunes Hendrix ever done. All these people do is adulterate the original.

Hendrix never played it the same twice.
