Omg I tried it out and I was struggling because of my long hair. And I was just thinking was I the only one struggling because I was trying to curl my hair with a straightener like that but hey I’m glad I can relate and figure how to properly curl and do whatever I want with the straightener thanks a lot!! 🙏

My daughter has really really long hair. First time we tried it was just ok and we curled it just like you did by pulling to the end. Second time we tried, we pulled the top part of her hair after the curling iron ran through it (a couple of times each section) to get the curl thru to the bottom and it worked fine. It’s so much quicker to curl than a regular iron. We love it!

I figured it out! What works for me is, flipping the wand upside down, clamping and twisting away, but once you twist the first time, pull down a little, twist the wand again, pull and then twist again and pull all the way through.

You are right! I was having a hard time with my long thick hair and switching it to that method worked for me.
It’s the angle you’re holding the tool. If you held it vertically, you would see spirals. Because you are putting the hair in flat and holding the tool more horizontally(level to the floor) you are getting more of a flat iron look. The slower you move the tool, the tighter the curls. Make one full turn before you begin moving tool away from scalp. I am a licensed cosmetologist. Hope this helps. It does take some patience, even for us. You’re doing great!

Tip:) you have to start the wrap at the top and gently glide down. It’s super easy once you get the knack of it ❤

Hi I bought the Le Duo and have been trying it for several weeks it definitely doesn't work as well as I hoped for and I have thin hair just below shoulder length. I was disappointed after I got it but keep I trying to see if it gets better.

Do you have the temperature on right? Also it’s giving that weird bend at the top because you keep holding it in place for too long
I struggled too. I'm going to try the top facing down. But do you have to use their products. I didn't buy them. I like the products I use. My hair did not glide through it easily and It pulled a lot of my hair out. I have course wavy hair.
I’m not a huge fan of their products either because they make my hair feel like straw, so I totally get what you mean. The only ones I like from them are the ones that add shine, those make my hair feel better. I’ve heard about pointing the top down, I’m going to try that too!! Hopefully we can get it to work 😆
Do one full turn and then pull your hair le duo straight down. Also you don’t have to hold the top. And even if you do, it’s not hot because it has a fan on it. That’s how it works. It hot curls it and the cooling fan sets the curl.
I have the same length hair and what I find works for me is holding the curler side down instead of up

I have long hair too. It took me a couple of times. I do a constant twist. I see you pull then twist pull then twist so you are having straight spots in the middle. I prefer the wand

I got mine today as well and I was not impressed it didn’t curl like it shows on videos and the girls did not last long like they were down before I even got through doing the other side of my hair

They have a "Grande" version now that I just bought for longer hair and the plates a lot longer. Haven't tried it yet but I'm thinkin that's what you want. That one is way to small for your gorgeous long hair which I'm jealous of btw lol.

Omg thank you SO much for this review! I have had this tool for months and my hair comes out just like yours! I can’t get consistent curls and side of my head looks different. I end up taking my wand and fixing it.

I don't have this tool but I use the Le Vite straightener to curl my hair. Mine is probably 6" shorter than yours and half as thick but it just takes practice. Also, this is kind of the look I like. Other than the bends at the top but I only curl the bottom half of my hair on purpose. You do have to be very consistent with the speed you pull down in order to get consistent curls. I don't think the product is at fault on this one, it just isn't the style you prefer and it was your first time using it :)

My Sister has longer hair than yours and her hair comes out perfect every time she uses her 2 in 1 curler wand. Definitely she uses it facing the wand down.

I tried it all the different ways...just doesn’t work on my mile long hair..bottom sure but throughout no. Very frustrating because I thought I knew how to use hair tools...but this one made me realize how behind I am!

Honestly you where using it so wrong it works amazing if used right i have long hair as well and i use it with the end pointing down and my curl can be tight and firm if i wanted them to be.

Hi there, I noticed you said u had used the le volume on ur hair that morning so I’m wondering if that probably affected the curls since u already applied heat to ur hair. If I use a hair dryer or straightener to my hair first it will not curl very good 😌 maybe try letting ur hair air dry then use this & see the difference? Just a thought 😊❤️

Yeh its good awesome on shoulder length or shorter hair but any longer like yours no it can be difficult so I had mine cut and now it works great oh and I had been wanting it cut short for awhile now but I must tell u the dryers le volume and the le volume petite is new just got it love the petite for short hair
Yea if I had the courage I’d cut mine short, I think it’s so cute, I just don’t have the nerve to do it 😅 I LOVE the le volume!! I did a video on it and since then I’ve really learned and gotten better at using it. It’s the only way I dry my hair now!! 🤍🤍

i have the hair you were talking about (mom hair) and i dont like it at all, It does not make pretty curls, its still has that kink it it from the straighter, I wish I waited cause i am not liking it at all, Oh well another tool that will just collect dust

I absolutely HATE this thing!!! I've done it (tried) 7 times now. It curls bottom half nicely but not the top half. Then after I put my fingers thru my hair, my hair goes straight. The funny thing is I have curly hair!! Not one curl is left on my head. I've tried it with & without heat protectant but always get same result. I hate it, I threw it in the trash!! (I've got a bad temper).

I had all the same problems you did and I have about the same length. If I could even get a curl it was only at the bottom which wouldn't have been a problem except for all the terrible bumps from the straightener along the shaft. I'm pretty sure this tool is not for long hair.

Yes girl!! 😆 I have cheap wands from the drugstore all the way up to L’ange ones and to be honest I think they all work pretty much the same lol depending on the barrel size 😄🤷🏻♀️ I’m thinking about doing a video with my wands and putting the cheap ones up against the L’ange ones. 🤍🤍

I just got mine and cannot do it. I watched all the L’ange girls do it effortlessly and for me it is an epic failure. It looks so easy on the videos but there is a definite learning curve. I wish someone would do a slow motion step by step video. I am so frustrated.

Girl you're not alone. I just got mine today. I was so excited. I tried for a little while this evening and it just wasn't working for me. I would get a good curl here and there, but nothing great it was I think straighter than before. I gave up and went to spend time with my family this evening and figured I will try again tomorrow. I just want to get those beautiful curls I kept seeing in all the Lange videos!!

your hair is way too long for this or a curling iron for that matter, also don't you try it before you start taping, heavy hair will be flat on top, mine is heavy the top will go straight no matter what you use.

Ditch the heat protection products. Watch Milabu's videos on RUclips. She has couple videos experimenting on the heat protection products. The make the hair burn faster than without any protections. 😬

I have a difficult time watching you… apparently you struggle so much with most tools. I’m a stylist… brush your sections that’s why you’re pulling it out. Also, section… it helps control what you’re working with. It’s not the tool… in my opinion. It’s just lack of experience doing your hair. I know lots of ppl with long hair who tend to leave their down without taking the time.
Oh and don’t run your fingers though your curls… your defeating the purpose of letting it cool. I have no idea how to help with the technical aspect except maybe keep doing your hair and practice practice practice. Maybe even on a friend with some experience. I think you’ll be much happier:-)
You are using the same piece of hair over and over. You can’t straighten the same piece then expect it to curl. Wands first your hair!
