yea the surge happens all the time to me on the steep hills around here :( no nosedive from it yet knock on wood. Do you feel a surge before that nosedive dip or did it just drop?
YO WHADDUP CARDI!!!! Fun video, a nice watch. Nosedives are such an elusive thing to really pin down... The causes are known, but the exact recipe of events is sketchy to codify. I'm still working on it...but one day soon... Anyway, good stuff. Cheers!

I honestly went out there thinking I would purposely nosedive, its the sand right...then I just couldnt...

Nice video! Getting my OneWheel to an empty beach is definitely on my bucket list. Nice to see someone else rocking the EGO battery extending method. I'm rocking a 7.5 AH on my Plus myself for that sweet quadruple range. Keep the content coming!
Yup, right on the fender. I experimented with different spots to make sure the back isn't too heavy and ended up placing it a little higher up. Doesn't seem to affect my cruising too much. I can see it getting in the way if I wanted to do tricks and jumps, but I don't really do that.
I would like to know as well, if the 7.5ah would work on the Parallel setup just like yours. Since the PNT setup wont work. given that mine is the newer OW+ model (3208&up)
vincentlj Look into the SonnyWheels VnR kit. Should work with the HW3208 OW+. Watch the video for installation before buying to see if it’s something you don’t mind doing.
I just bit it so damn hard yesterday riding in the wind. I didn't even realize the board was doing pushback because I felt like I was in a wind tunnel. I crushed my hip and head. Ouch.
Holy smokes awesome video .man I really wish I got to try one of those boards one day but iv been riding my boosted board mini s a lot and my belts finally broke off so I guess its walking around town for me I guess Haha until my new belts arrive :)
@@JohnDDyer lol! Order 4 of them? Hmmm I might just look into that depends how much money i have left over but thats kinda true if i have a few spare ones just incase the belts break off again.👍
yea man, I made that mistake when my first belt broke and knowI always keep at least one with me, then if it goes I just replace it right then and order another for the next time :)
Jealous of your open beach! i won't have access to such a great spot where i live. i'm new to Onewheel (i'll get my Pint next month, whoooo!), so i have a question: what's that thing attached to your fender by your back leg? is that an extra battery, or what? why do you have/like/use whatever it is?
its actually an EGO battery from their electric blower attached to the fendor with a mount made by the company Land-surf to double my range! I made a video about it a couple months ago. ruclips.net/video/M5nhnxSRCss/видео.html for me it was a necessity to get to my favorite breakfast spot without charging on the way. Im jealous about your Pint!! I bet you are stoked!!
@@JohnDDyer i really AM stoked. it's my first Onewheel device, so i'm busy inhaling every related video i can come across, haha. considering the Pint has the shortest range of their products -- even though i'm sure it will be plenty for me for awhile -- i'm interested in the battery addition you made, because at some point i am hoping i need it, too. i'll go check out your other video. thanks!
thanks Rob, I have to connect the insta 360 one x to my phone then in the settings turn on stats. then do the same thing with stats to choose what to display when exporting.

So back when I rode the plus i used to push it to a “surge” like 5-6 times a ride. No kidding. Got really good at saving those almost nosedives haha.

Nope just dropped. If you watch it tho I hit a bump just before that then caused the motor to work harder and dip me down.

Hahha thanks Jimmy. I honestly went out there with the intent of doing a slow nosedive but I just couldn’t force myself to do it. Even on the sand🤣🙄
Great experiment. Living in Chicago, I definitely feel the affects of the wind when riding the OW.

Yea man I’m in the same boat, I don’t do many tricks either. I was looking at electric lawn mowers so if I get one I now know I can use the 7.5ah!!

How is the onscreen speedometer working? That's pretty neat.
My 360 camera connects to my iphone and then stores the GPS data with my footage. I think the new gopro does it too!

its the 2.5ah, I picked up a refurbished ego blower at home depot for $140 and it came with the battery included, love the blower too, win win!
