Just wanted to comment and say I personally noticed and really appreciate the cinematic looking shots you put in in the beginning of the video. I know it's a lot of work for only a few dozen seconds but it adds a lot to your videos on top of everything you already record and do. Keep up the great work man, I love every video you put out.
Silicone lube and the special exhaust hanger pliers from Lisle is literally a life changing combination. You can do them with one hand while playing with your phone in the other. Just a tip for the next car that doesn't have hangers you can unbolt lol.
Well I did a thing an bought a 2018 AMG C43! Not as powerful or quite the driver experience as the M3 but its been a blast! I noticed how my iRacing skills transferred to this car! Like cornering, driving a real car I feel the weight and momentum shift and just bang through a corner!! I think cornering is more fun in this thing than hammering it on a strait away! I really want to go to road course and I'm sure there is at least one in the DFW area!
It's so good to see Taylor doing what he loves and what he started from. Part time RUclipsr full time bc employee to this. Good stuff Taylor keep it up
At :20 seconds in - before the camera refocuses - awesome. Then from 24-27 or so seconds. Perfect. Lol. That exhaust branding and the color of the logos takes me right back to watching the Turner e36s battling it out in the "Speedvision" racing series in the late 90s/2000s. The Turner BMWs along with the Realtime Integra Type-Rs were so fun to watch.
I’m loving this BMW content, and the variety of cinematic, Timelapse, vlog, and voiceover keeps me watching through the whole thing. That Turner exhaust looks amazing! Makes me want one for my F80.
The big problem with the S55 exhaust sound is that the headers aren’t equal. Like 2 years ago there was a lot of R&D into figuring out how to equalize the pipes before they merged and turns out that it makes it 100x better. Look into the Active Autowerke equal length mid pipe. It’s waaaaay better than any of the “normal” aftermarket exhausts that are available. It costs way more, but once you look at the fab work needed, you’ll understand why.
Not sure if you ever intend to, but it would be cool to see ya race the M3 in Spectator Drags at the Factory of Freedom. Keep up the great work Taylor!
Induction noise is great cause it sounds good without pissing off the neighbors, but I guess that's less of a problem with his fancy valve system lol. I'm the same way though, I'd rather listen to the engine itself than the exhaust blast, but of course it still needs a little brap brap
I finally made it to the tail of the dragon in my r56 mini this past summer and it was amazing. Wasn’t on an ideal tire set up and also destroyed my alternator belt at the very end. Had to casually drive it back out of the mountains for about 40 minutes or so till I ran out of battery and had phone service to call for help.
As someone who went to the dragon for the first time this past summer, I am completely hooked and am currently building my car in the off season for it specifically. I completely understand the lust for this type of car! Great work and congrats on everything coming together on the car!
Hey dude, I’m loving the inclusion of some more cinematic shots/camera work. I have been watching for a long time and I feel this taking your videos to new levels
I very much love these openings. Keep em up! I see a late November trip to the Tail of the Dragon in my future. About 11 hours from where I'm at in Canada.....not too shabby.
I saw ya on Chelsea's channel. The Jibber Jabber was awesome. Listening to y'all talk shop, is enlightening, & really interesting. You should think about doing a podcast, or something similar. I bet there is alot of people, who would all watch & listen regularly, I know I would. I know you're quite busy these day's. If you could do it tho, it would be really cool. Either way, your channel is still hands down my favorite!!! channel
If you struggle with exhaust hangers I would recommend the lisle 38350 plyers. No more fighting them trying to get a pry bar to push at the right angle. With the plyers you don't even have to spray any lubricant on them.
I love the recent edit style with the intro´s, in-between car movements (for lack of a better word) and the different camera focus (depth? how do you call that). Anyway, also the people that know nothing about editing it was noticed and appreciated.
The door could be fixed when you come back to the Dragon. One of the best at paintless dent repair is just minutes from the Dragon. Hit up Direct Paintless Dent Repair in Piney Flats Tn. One of the best ever.
If you think TOD is good in the off season. I hope you try SoCal roads in winter. You need to actually know the good ones to experience it. So, just mention in a video if you ever come out here. I will comment the best roads. But, off season roads are what make local legends. Loving this content.
Man i love these things! I drive a diesel E91 and hope to get an M car someday soon. Love the mods you've done too, plus the wheel fitment looks🤌 perfect!
when you use the bath scale, just reset the weight. Start it and stand on it when it starts then it sets the weight to zero with you on it. Then just hold the items in your hand and you dont have to subtract your own weight.
Diggin the M3. You should get a Lav mic for when you're in the shop so you can talk without needing to face the camera when you're talking about something plus it will help with the reverb the shop has
Great video. Love the Turner Titanium exhaust. The only thing missing is some induction noise. Big question, when you drive the M3 do you use your blinkers? 😉
I don't know if you have a diagnostic tool that will hook up to the bmw diagnostic port, but you should check for adaptations and reset them. At least on the obd2 90's models they have this and it's good to reset them every once in a while because the car adapts to how you drive and if you do some sort of upgrade or even much needed maintenance that was inhibiting performance it can relearn how you will be driving. The one I have is a Schwaben. It's a lot cheaper than the official ones, but handy.
I honestly hope you tune this thing. If you buy the mhd dongle thing you can get the mhd tuning software and xhp trans tune and transform this thing even more. Plus you'd have rolling antilag to. Plus the xhp trans tune makes the shifts wild.
Hey Taylor next time you have to weigh something with 1 scale like that. Just weigh yourself 1st, then stand on the scale holding each piece. Then anything over your weight is your answer. I've had to do it myself a couple times to check things, works pretty good.
They make a tool to get exhaust hangers off. Makes it 1000 times easier. I have one and recommend it for a cheap price of the tool. Saves headaches and knuckles.
Can’t tell for sure, but seems like I hear brakes doing a quick “squeal/chirp” in corners. Sweet set up!! Just went down there July 16th with my ‘88 Foxbody TTop 5 speed. Stock engine and trans going to a 331 stroker and TKX. Look on Killboy for July 16th… Inhave the “Cover” for mustangs that day!
There is some 60hz hum in your audio when you're recording voice overs. It's very faint but I've noticed it in the last 3 videos. Just a heads up. Love your builds, so happy the dirft vet is done.
Ok serious question here taylor, what do you think of the DCT in that BMW or just in general? I know all transmissions are different in their feel, gearing, etc, but what do you think of that one in your bmw? I know you love manuals as well, and you obviously know manuals very well, so what do you think of driving a sporty car such as that bmw with a DCT vs if it had a manual? I personally couldnt stand that. It would just be so boring and non-engaging. I love the feel of a true clutch, rev match, downshift into gear, and feel the power just hit you as you accelerate. I couldnt stand tapping a paddle shifter and thats it.
I hope you eventually convert it to single turbo to get rid of the unequal manifold to make it from a v6 exhaust pattern to and I6. That or make the unequal length to equal.
Next time weigh u and then hold the part and weigh u and the part. Or put scale on top of a milk crate so the stuff will be farther away from the ground. Great video as always bro. 🤜🏻
I really enjoyed the hour of Jibber Jabber with Chelsea Denofa. For sure worth a watch.
The headlight angle banter was hilarious lol
Bro I ate up every sec of it. I wish they went over the drag truck but ik he's a drifty boi so trying to keep it relevant

Dude. focal length and aesthetics and work in the opening sequence. wow. it was noticed, and epic.
I feel like now that Taylor isn't rushing to finish the C6, he can take a little more time with these things and I love it
If you stand on the scale and hold the pieces, and then scale yourself and subtract it might be easier than balancing the pieces
I know, I'm a little embarrassed for him.
But then you'll know how much you weigh. That's the scariest part especially after Thanksgiving.
@@xCaLLMeGHeTTo haha good point!!
Him plus 100 lbs is probably higher than the scale goes. At least i hope thats why he did it that way…
@@NovemberFoxtrotRC i highly doubt that scale only goes to like 280
Dude, these new intros are awesome! Keep up the great work Taylor! BTW still not used to seeing you in a BMW
its similar too his older videos at his old house

Noted that as well, upgrading more than the cars 😁
When doing weight you can always stand on the scale and hold the part and then subtract your weight!
I was going to comment this lol, it's the easiest way
I'm getting severe anxiety watching him measure this currently... lol

Titanium exhausts are just so sick, this car is turning out really nice

yeah i agree his exhaust isn’t a full equal length exhaust.
Equal length is a must on the s55

Agreed. It already has the most important mod: the driver.
@@SirVic42 not so important in drag with a car that has automatic trans
@@xiukn8 It's not really a "drag" race. It's a lap around a banked oval, so knowing when to brake and turn are crucial. That's all driver.
We visited Deals Gap right before Thanksgiving and never met a soul! It was the best!! Definitely recommend going during the off season!
Taylor getting downright artsy with the intros. love it
Loving these intros, keep it up.
I like the new style of intros. Takes me back to when i first started watching your videos
Personally love induction noise, I think I'd have made that louder before the exhaust XD
Looks like a neat setup though. hope you enjoy it :)

Well that was a throwback intro and a half right there. Also loved the interview with Chelsea
The build is great can’t wait for it to spiral out of control and get a m3 shirt to fund the build corvette looks sick posted up in the garage !!

I like the equal length midpipe on my f82. Completely changes the sound of the car imo.
daaaaamn taylor you upped the production quality. looks great
If you struggle with exhaust hangers I would recommend the lisle 38350 plyers. No more fighting them trying to get a pry bar to push at the right angle. With the plyers you don't even have to spray any lubricant on them.

Not sure if you've done the preventative crank hub fix yet, but if not, I'd recommend it for peace of mind. Even stock s55's can spin the crank hub.
Get yourself a chain cut tool for that exhaust. Cuts exhaust way faster and easier than sawzalls and grinders
